A perfect day in Paris to ramble through the Pete LaChaise Cemetary. Alain did an excellent job giving us the history of the Cemetary and telling stories about the many “residents.” Merci!

English speaking? I don’t think so. Really difficult to understand. Nice guy but not dynamic —a lot of quiet space where we could have been given lots of info. Of the six walking tours we took in our three country tour this was our only disappointment. Sorry.

Very long but interesting tour. Was a little disappointed as to paying for the ENGLISH speaking tour and there were French, Italian also on our tour so I felt he spent way more time explaining things to them and then translating only parts to us.

We were a small group that got extra attention from a great guide. The cemetery is beautiful. Great views of the city and lots of hills/trees. Large area to cover. Our guide was a fact filled machine and began by asking us what graves we were most interested in for the tour, otherwise it would have taken us forever to locate everything on our own. Really interesting stories. Well worth the time/money.

I brought a list of seven gravestones I particularly wanted to see. Alain, my guide, knew where to find all my choices. As well he showed many other famous and not so famous but very interesting graves. Pete Lachaise Cemetery is so huge that an informative guide is the best way to really see it.
