After meeting your guide and group by the Alexandre Dumas metro stop, you’ll walk together to the Père Lachaise Cemetery. The site spans some 110 acres (44 hectares) and the number of graves reaches hundreds of thousands. With your guide, you’ll use your time well to go straight to the highlights, and hear the stories behind tomb stones.
Learn about the lives of Chopin, Edith Piaf, and Jim Morrison, who are all buried in Père Lachaise, and have your camera ready for a photo by Oscar Wilde’s much-kissed gravestone. You’ll listen to the tragic tales of Heloïse and Abelard, and discover the final resting places of famous souls from around the world.
After roughly two hours inside the cemetery, your tour ends back at the start point near the metro stop.

Dee provided a well organized and interesting tour. She shared a great historical perspective on each gravesite visited and provided new learning. The range of graves visited and discussed was extensive and broad from Chopin, Oscar Wild to Jim Morrison. She was excellent in answering any questions asked.

We had an excellent visit to the cemetery with our guide Sophia. It was our first time in Paris and a visit to Pere Lachaise was a must do. Sophia met us at a nearby Metro station and the cemetery was a short walk away. Throughout the tour she was very knowledgeable and answered any questions that were asked. The cemetery is huge at 14 hectares, so you will only get to see a fraction of that, but at just over 2 hours, we saw plenty of famous graves and the stories behind them. I thoroughly recommend this tour as a starting block for any future visits, which we will definitely do when we next return to Paris.

Our tour guide, Abi, was quite knowledgeable about not just Père-Lachaise, but also French (and Parisian) history, culture, as well as having a charming personality. Great sense of humor, kept our small group enthralled with her stories about each grave she took us to. I especially appreciated the fact that she pointed out areas where it might be a little slippery and warned us to be careful. I am in my late 70s and she was mindful of whether or not I could keep up with the group. In addition, we were a few minutes late getting to the starting point of the tour because our taxi driver took us to the wrong metro stop. Abi assured us she would not have left without us. Have to admit the highlight of the tour was seeing the grave of Jim Morrison, the most visited grave in the entire cemetery. Also the most difficult one to find unless you have a good tour guide. Highly recommend!

It was a good tour but if are expecting to see all of the famous graves you will be disappointed. We only saw one of three I wanted to see.

Although we did't arrive the 15 mins before the start time due to the traffic, we were there 5 mins before but no one there to meet us. We waited until 15 mins after the start time. We decided to walk and when we arrived at the cemetery we found another person who was in our group who had also been waiting well before the start time so we were not the only ones.
We ended up completing the tour on our own which, in the end was a better experience as we got to see more and learnt more by doing it at our own pace.
When we contacted the support team we were told the rest of our group had been checked in and reminded that it is our responsibility to be on time (which we were) when reiterated we arrived before the start time the same message was sent and no further correspondence.

Our guides are not permitted to leave the meeting point before the official start time unless the entire group is present. If some guests have not yet arrived, the guide must remain on-site and depart only at the scheduled departure time out of fairness to all participants. We also ask guests to plan to arrive 15 minutes early to allow for check-in and to help ensure an on-time start, especially since traffic in the area can be unpredictable.

The tour guide never showed! There was a small group of us waiting for over 40 minutes and no one showed up. The tour company attempted to contact the guide, but never connected. No word from them about an apology or a refund. Go elsewhere!

The guide, RITI is her name, arrived a bit late. Her explanations were not interesting, all the accent were put on frivolous things. We had the opportunity to hear other guides whitch gave interesting facts about the monuments from the cemetery.
The only good thing was her English language.
RITI should rewrite her speech.

This was the best tour we took on this vacation! We’ve been in this cemetery in the past and just wandered around. Having someone as knowledgeable as Vic made all the difference. With no disrespect to the dead, I have to say that this bucolic and handsome final (well, mostly final...ask Carole to explain😉) resting place fully to life! Carole was our guide and she shared generously and passionately her fondness for this green space and its inhabitants and their life stories. Way more than a walk in the woods with tombs and mausoleums and cats and spirits!

Great tour with informative guide. A bit of confusion on the meeting place for us and a few other participants, but the 800 number was very helpful in helping us find the guide (we were at the main entrance rather than down the avenue a bit).
