Catalina and her husband are very kind & easy to talk with our family of 4. Our teenage children had the best time as well! She is an outstanding chef who prepared a delicious 5 course meal including dessert. They provided additional details about their favorite local spots to visit in Paris. Bravo to an amazing chef & would highly recommend for a fantastic evening!

I came to Paris with my mom for her 71st birthday. This activity was incredibly fun, and I highly recommend it. Catalina and Brian were amazing and treated us so well. What fun! I highly recommend this activity.

A must when visiting Paris!

Hands down this was the best cooking experience I have ever had when traveling. An afternoon full of laughs, smiles, hard work, culminating with a great meal and fellowship. This is a must for anyone traveling to Paris looking for a fantastic experience with an amazing couple. Catalina in Brian opened their house to my mom and I along with two others and cooked up a delicious meal. Catalina showed us culinary tips, knife skills, and provided the recipes for the meals we made. She and Brian have a love for cooking, hosting, meeting new people and providing a warm experience for those traveling through Paris. She also gave us recommendations for places to eat, visit, and explore while in Paris. I will be recommending this experience to friends (actually did a week later with people I met in Normandy) and family with upcoming travel and will be sure to book another experience on my next trip to Paris. This is a MUST for culinary lovers who want a great experience. I can't wait to make the meal when I return back home.

This was so much fun! Chef Catalina was very agreeable to work with my vegetarian diet for our dinner. She and her husband were very welcoming into their home and were such fun to spend an evening with. She had a well planned meal which highlighted her culinary experience and the place around the world where she has lived. Each course was prepared to perfection using fresh local ingredients exploding with flavor. We left with full bellies and a happy heart. Highly recommend this experience.

Very nice , hands on cooking class with Chef Catalina. She is a very experienced chef and excellent at instruction. She and her husband made us feel so comfortable in their home. The food was wonderful, we learned a lot, it couldn’t have been any better!

For a fabulous dinner in a beautiful home and relaxed environment with a meal cooked by a chef that worked at the Cordon Bleu we highly recommend chef Catalina and her su chef Brian. Catalina was very communicative as our flight was delayed and they both treated us with open kindness. Part of the appeal is they shared the main course at the table with us and gave us all the Paris highlights based on where our VRBO was located. I would definitely do this on your first night in Paris. A true gem to start off your adventure. Make sure to check your email as she communicates after scheduling to pick your food choices.

Catalina is a wonderful chef and she and her husband Brian are welcoming hosts. We dined in their home and had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious 5 course meal that Catalina designed to accommodate our food preferences. The menu was a clever integration of Colombian and French cuisine with some Malaysian influences as well (Catalina is Colombian but has lived in Malaysian and France). Each course was yummy and beautifully presented. It was a warm, relaxing evening and we highly recommend this unique experience.

What a wonderful experience! We enjoyed the food and conversation. We had the most amazing dinner prepared by chef Catalina for our Thanksgiving meal. We had a taste of Columbia Parisian food and an Asian dish as well after dinner. We had a wonderful dessert and hand poured Colombian coffee. That was excellent. I would highly recommend this experience, Catalina and her husband, Brian were so delightful to spend the evening with. I would write this experiences 10 out of 10.

The Highlight of Our Trip to Paris

Our Parisian/Colombian Dining Experience was magical. Catalina is an AMAZING chef and the food was really extraordinary. She catered the menu to us, based on a few messages back and forth over the Viator App. The care and thought that she put into everything she served was really wonderful. We entered their home to a beautiful array of nuts, salami and cheese – to go with Champagne. They had wine for each course. The timing was really perfect, as we had time between courses to visit. The first course was arepas and yucca – accompanied by delicious guacamole, a traditional Columbian sauce called hogao (DELICIOUS), and queso fresco. The next course was the most beautiful summer salad – tomatoes, watermelon, prosciutto and mozzarella, with fresh basil, homemade pesto and Italian olive oil that they brought back from a trip to Italy. Then they served an incredible Asian lettuce wrap with chicken and a spicy peanut sauce. The main course blew us away. I had mentioned in my correspondence with Catalina that our 18-year-old daughter was open to trying duck. WOW! The shredded slow cooked duck over a lightly sweet carrot puree was FABULOUS!!! I can taste it in my mouth just thinking about it. After a long break, fun conversation and a couple of glasses of wine out on a seating area in front of their home (on a beautify side-street in Paris), we came back in for a delicious desert. Catalina and her husband, Brian, were amazing hosts. First, just being in their home was very special. It felt like visiting old friends. He is American, from Pennsylvania, and she is from Colombia – they are avid bicycle riders and they have a blended family – with two kids and and two wonderful dogs. The kids were not there, but the photos of their family are everywhere in their home. We found that we had a lot in common (my wife and I have a blended family). Brian was very generous to create an itinerary for our time in Paris, which we followed rigorously. Every suggestion was perfect, especially going to the church on the hill for the views and the Jazz club, one night. It was also fun to talk about our kids and learn about how the schools work in Paris. Again, the experience of being in their home, and visiting for hours, felt like we were at a friend’s house. We made it a point to come early and explore the neighborhood, called Les Batignolles. There is a church and a park that constitute a “kind of town square”, just down the street from their home. The square has cafés and shops all around it. I highly recommend coming a little early and visiting the park, the church and the shops. This was our first day in Paris, and I cannot think of a better way to set the tone for our trip. It was really grounding to begin in this traditional Paris neighborhood, away from the tourist spots. The dinner and our evening with Catalina and Brian was the highlight of our trip.
