Maurizio was a fantastic guide. He made the experience incredibly interesting, keeping all of us totally engaged. He weaved in stories about the specific paintings with background about the artists (both factual and some gossip mixed in) which really brought everything to life. I would strongly recommend Maurizio and would use him again for this tour and others.

I think our guide was named Mattias - he was Italian and clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about what we were looking at. Both of us came in with some art history knowledge but he gave us context that we didn't know we were missing and walked us through Impressionism's creation and aftermath. Really impressive and very highly recommend.

Maurizio is a well- informed, pleasant and downright funny guy. He was kind enough to meet us 30 minutes in advance of our booking to accommodate our unexpected early arrival. We wouldn't change a thing. If you want a personal tour guide, this is the tour you should book.

Fabulous!!!!! Mauricio was wonderful. Museum was on strike, he waited with us for two hours outside not sure it would open. Finally we got in and gave us the full 2 hour tour. He was great!!! So much backstory about the paintings. Best tour ever!!!! Thank you Mauricio!!!

The guide from Napoleon Tour was the best Guide we had the entire time in Paris. He taught us so much and made the tour exciting and well wonderful. the guide was funny and had great enthusiasm for history. he made the painting jump off the pictures and loved the train station.
Would have liked him for all our tours.

Maurizio is the best tour guide I’ve ever had, on any tour, anywhere in the world. I learned more from him on one tour than during a semester of Art History. He connects artists to apprentices and points out details of paintings in a way Ive never heard
When a medical emergency happened with a family member during a tour he took charge running to find museum officials, helping translate with paramedics and even following up the following day to see how things were going.
Could not recommend him more!

Maurizio is the best tour guide. He has a gift for storytelling so it is fun to learn about the art and artists. Our teen was still recounting some of the stories days later. Maurizio has a degré in art history, so he was able to answer our questions about other artists that we liked our pieces that caught our eye. He really knows his stuff, and presents it in such an enjoyable way.

We schedule a private tour and misunderstood the time, which was totally our fault (it started at 1400 and we planned to arrive at 4pm). When we realized our mistake, we called to tour company and first asked for a credit, which they refused because they said they (meaning we) had already purchased tickets to the museum for that day. We said we understood and asked that they send us a photo of the tickets so we could try to go to the museum on our own. They agreed but then never sent us the tickets, so we lost all our money and missed out on the experience of going to the museum ourselves with the tickets we had paid for. Very disappointing and terrible customer service.

Your tour was scheduled at 2pm.
It was a private tour and the guide was there just for you at the scheduled time. That is the reason why this tour was explicitly not refundable, so that is why you could not be credited.
He called multiple times but no answer.
You call us 2 hours later demanding for tickets that were impossible to use on your own, since they were expired.
I told you that I would send them to you anyway as proof but that they were useless, also the guide was doing another tour and that I was not sure I would be able to send them soon.
I told you how to get new tickets on your own since these were useless and also because the museum was closing in 1 hour anyway. We don't do the rules at the Orsay Museum, yet you did not seem to understand or accept my explications.
You lost the tour and its completely your fault, we answered to your call immediately and tried to help. That's wonderful customer service, for a "very disappointing and terrible" customer, giving 1 star to a devoted company for nothing. I understand your frustration, but it's mean and childish to punish us for your own mistakes.

Mauricio brought the collection at the D’ Orsay to life for us, giving us an detailed understanding of the complex stories behind the artists and their works. He has given us an appreciation for art that we did not know existed before. He encouraged us to appreciate art in a way we have not realized was possible until this museum and his narrative.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our Musee D’Orsay tour with Napoleone Tour’s Mauricio. He did a great job of interweaving the historical time period and then comparing the types of paintings “allowed” by the Academy vs those that were rejected. And how a rising middle and upper class due to the Industrial Revolution, embraced these rejected painters. It was a wonderful 2 hours of history and art and we highly recommend this tour.

Our 2 hour visit to Orsay Museum was outstanding.
Maurizio (Napoleone tour) was the perfect guide to explain the beginning of the impressionists and a timeline of the different artists and the progression and development of each of their styles. We also appreciated his explanation of society's reaction to their art and the interlinking of the individual artists personal lives. I would recommend to anyone
Maurizio as a guide and especially if this is your first visit to the museum of modern art.

I learned more details about the lives of the impressionist painters and how they related to each other.Their styles were unique and memorable and I enjoyed the comparisons our guide showed us.He brought their stories to life. Privileged to enjoy a 2 hour private tour for 2 with Mauricio. He was educated, interesting and humorous. Made his points but also willing to tailor tour to our interests. Museum focuses on 19th & early 20th century art, perhaps my favorite period. And the former railroad station, offering panoramic views of Paris from the top floor, is magnificent. Look up Mauricio; you won't be disappointed.
