Audio guide never sent. I contacted Viator and they said it would be 24 hours prior and was still never sent. I contacted them again and was asked to do a guided tour instead. I said yes ok. The guide shows up 20 minutes late to tell us she will not be doing a guided tour and just took us the the entrance to get through. This is the 4th time I have booked with Viator and its been horrible. When will I learn. Paris - guide never showed up nor was tour cancelled. Iceland as Im waiting for bus to Northern Light- get message driver has covid. On and on

It was a waste of money. There was no reason for a time slot since we had to stand in line with people who did not have any reservation. Additionally, we could have gotten an audio from Notre Dame for 6e. Disappointing to say the least.

Instructions as to how to add the app on the phone we’re not clear and could’ve been given to us earlier. It also was not clear that the tour started outside the building rather than inside the building and the access point outside the building was not readily noticeable.

You ask for a review of our experience of the Paris Notre Dame Cathedral audio guided tour that I had purchased for four of us on Saturday 7th March at 2:30pm. Three issues :
• It proved impossible for my three companions to download their audio guide. For myself, as organiser, it was difficult and then suddenly the guide was downloaded, but I was unable to see how, and I was unable to show my three companions how it had worked. The main issue appeared to be that the Booking Reference number was not accepted, nor any of the three other numbers provided (Tour Operator Confirmation No, Tour Operator Option Code, or Tour Operator Product Code).
• My companions made numerous attempts to contact your customer service. No support was given, no phone called returned.
• The area of the meeting point, as described in the map provided, was a working area for further renovation, inaccessible to the public. You might have mentioned that this was the case.
This was deeply disappointing. The purpose of our trip to France and Paris was to see the newly renovated Cathedral of Notre Dame. I am sure you will make due recompense. I further trust that for any future user of your services, you will promptly and diligently address here raised. I look forward to your confirmation.

Waste of money. The cathedral tickets are FREE; you can also get timed tickets for FREE on their website. The instructions for this PAID audio tour were horrendous and the audio guide was a history lesson, not a ton about the actual cathedral. Scam. Very disappointing.

Could not find anyone who knew how to find the people who were supposed to be responsible for this. Talked to 3 different sets of people - no luck. Did not need tickets to enter and audio guide is 6 euros per person.

We would like to clarify that your booking was for our independent self-guided audio tour app, not the official Notre-Dame audio guide offered inside the cathedral.
The €6 audio guide you mention is the on-site guide provided directly by Notre-Dame, which is a separate service that we do not resell or manage. Our audio guide is an enhanced mobile app, available in 7 languages, with additional content and GPS support, and can be used independently before, during, or after your visit.
As mentioned in the activity description, this is a self-guided experience, so there is no meeting point or staff on location. Entrance to Notre-Dame Cathedral itself is free for all visitors.
Access to our audio guide was sent to you by email prior to the activity. We recommend reviewing the provided instructions to ensure proper use of the service.

We were told it was not a reservation and we had only paid for an audio, which we didn’t receive either. We were told we had been ripped off. I have contacted Viator and I told them I would like a total refund but have not had a response yet

The tour is slightly confusing. 15 minutes early is not enough time to be able to get in at your desired time. Additionally, I received an email 2 hours prior telling me to download the app to listen under Wi-Fi. At that point, we were already well on our way through the streets of Paris with no Wi-Fi. I would recommend sending the information at least a day in advance so tourists can prepare. We were unable to download the app and lost money on this excursion.

I was at the site at 9:45am for 10am meet up no was there. There was supposed to be be someone with a flag no person or flag. I should ask for a refund but I know this would be a waste of time

Not worth the money, at least at this time of the year. Could have done this all for free. Lines were virtually nonexistent in December in the morning. The app is outdated. The process is very convoluted. The Cathedral is wonderful and worth seeing.

This company is a farce. They sent us the audio about 5 hours before our visit to the Notre Dame, on their site they say 24 hours. We were already out and about and couldn’t download it. It is such a scam and a complete waste of money. Just get the audio once you go in the church. You won’t need to bring headphones or use personal devices.

DO NOT book this! I received emails confirming the audio tour and when I got there, I was told it was a guided tour of the outside of Notre Dame, no audio inside. I couldn’t download my ticket for the inside because the website was messed up. The person giving the guided tour of the outside had not heard of Viator. We had to wait in line with everyone else that had FREE tickets. I’ll be calling my credit card company when I return home.

To be absolutely clear: we did send you the audio guides exactly as described, and the experience you purchased does NOT include a guided tour inside the cathedral. This is clearly stated in the tour description. Our product includes audio-guided content and group-entry tickets and live guided tour outsode Cathedrale. The fact that the cathedral was also distributing free tickets on-site does not change the nature of the product you purchased through Viator.

We paid for this experience so that we wouldn’t have to navigate entering and touring Notre Dame ourselves. We struggled to find our guide, and when we did, she informed us that the tour company sent her to do an outside tour instead. She could see from our purchased vouchers that we paid for an inside tour but she couldn’t help. After a long time of sorting through that, we ended up in the long no ticket wait line any way with no guide whatsoever. We have also not be able to get a refund. We are still trying.

They only send the tickets the day before and you cannot download them. It spins around and around in the link that they give you is not usable. We tried it on several different phones. We went to Notre Dame and asked for help there’s no one around from Reiter to help.

Guests also have a 24-hour free cancellation policy if they prefer not to wait. The access link works on all standard devices, and our support team is always available to assist if contacted through official channels.
We find it unfortunate to receive a 1-star review when all conditions were transparently presented before booking, and the service was delivered exactly as described.

The experience had the potential to be outstanding. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, but there were a few unanticipated difficulties from the group experience, i.e. no headsets provided either outside or inside the cathedral, difficulty in hearing the guide at times, guide not wearing an identifying cap or having a flag to help the group locate him (as there was a very large crowd waiting to enter), difficulty in keeping our small group together, and although our guide was not expected to accompany us into the cathedral, he did not ensure that we received the headset from the cathedral staff who refused to supply them. The guide spent approximately 45 minutes with us outdoors, which was fine, but one person had mobility issues and couldn't keep up. There was no voice amplification or headset for this portion either. We regret that he didn't supply any guidance for interior viewing.
The cathedral is beautiful and we were glad to have the opportunity to tour it. Our other experiences with Viator have always been excellent, and our Viator guides have been outstanding in their ability to provide historical, cultural, and quality leadership

We booked an audio tour. Received message to meet Viator rep at “statue”. Took several attempts to contact Viator to figure out which statue. Guide who met us told us indoor audio was not available and that she was going to give us a guided outdoor tour. If we wanted to go inside (which costs nothing), we had to wait in line like everyone else. She also told us we could purchase a tour inside directly from Notre Dame (later found out you need to reserve in advance). We did wait in line, which took almost an hour. Our outdoor guide, Nina, was wonderful but this is not what we paid for.

It was a waste of money. We traveled in early November. I kept contacting viator because we didn’t have the tickets or audio link. They kept saying they send it 12 hours before. The morning of, we still didn’t have it. No one at the Cathedral knew anything about the voucher and just kept saying it’s free. We entered the church easily with no tickets. The audio link finally came but we had no way to share it so 2 of us couldn’t listen to it. The tickets arrived after we were done in the church.

The entrance to Notre Dame is free, do not spend your money! I booked an audio guide in Spanish for my partner who speaks no English and did not get what we paid for. Even though in a paid and confirmed reservation it said tour in Spanish, audio guide available in 7 languages.

This was the biggest ripoff ever. It was advertised as having an audio guide. There was none. The guide chatted a while and then asked for our tickets. There were no skip the line tickets and no audio guide which was advertised. She spoke with us as we stood on the regular line and then could not enter w us because guides are not permitted in.

Our guide, Nina, was very nice and very knowledgeable, but we had to wait in the regular line when the money we paid was supposed to provide priority access. Didn’t happen. So we paid $50 to stand in the regular line and listen to Nina as it moved forward. Not worth it.

A total waste of time and money. This tour doesn’t bypass the entry line to the church and doesn’t provide any audio guide inside. It is absolutely a useless service. The website description is a fantasy and not a reality.

Loved Notre Dame, but if you think we did it with this company- you would be wrong! We booked well in advance and were promised that an email would come before the day to tell us where and who to meet. Instead we had no email and on the day we looked everywhere. I contacted the tour operator but they responded only 5 minutes before the start time that our guide had just arrived. Since we didn’t want to miss going in, and the walk in line was getting longer and longer we had hopped in the line. By the time the tour operator contacted us we were half way there. So we did Notre Dame by ourselves. Highly recommend going- but don’t recommend these guys. I wish I had read the MANY reviews of people with experiences similar to ours and just skipped working with this company.
