Excellent tour of an organic milk farm tour. Our guide was amazing and had an answer for every question that was asked. We watched how to make cheese and we hand pressed our own tortillas. Local honey and spicey cheese in the gift shop was amazing also. Recommend this tour for anyone. Much appreciated I wish I remembered his name. Happy birthday to him.

Milk a cow, feed a calf, learn about their farm and how they are working on switching to organic products. Then watch and assist while they make cheese, make your own tortilla and then eat your products. A truly great experience. Our children (4 and 6) had a wonderful time, and so did my husband and I. Thank you!

From Beaches, Rainforests, and Action Adventures, Costa Rica has a lot of options, but one of the highlights of our family's trip was visiting the Finca El Paraiso Farm. It was an amazing experience to hear about the Vargas family farm and how they are embracing the sustainable way of cattle farming. Their family has been in Monteverde well before it became a tourist hot spot. We were able to learn more about the area, feed and milk the cows. The best part was making and tasting freshly made cheese and tortillas! It was just genuine experience with a wonderful local family!

We had an amazing tour with Orlando and Carolina. This tour is perfect for kids that love the outdoors and animals. We were able to learn so much about the history of the farm and adaptations they have had to make to continue to thrive. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Monteverde.

We booked this on a whim last minute after seeing the signs while driving through Monteverde. This was so fun! We loved touring the farm and seeing how the animals are cared for. We were able to feed baby calves, milk a cow, drink the fresh milk from the cow, and we were also able to make our own tortillas to enjoy with the cheese that was handmade for us from the fresh cow’s milk. Orlando and his family were so kind, welcoming, and willing to share any knowledge of their farmland. The farm was easy to find using Google maps. HIGHLY recommend this tour, especially if you want a unique local experience. This would be fun for any age - our group had little kids (4-6 y/o), teenagers (14 & 16 y/o), young adults, and older adults and everyone had a wonderful experience.

Wow. I did not expect to have such a great time! We were welcomed to the farm, fed the pig and baby cows, milked a cow, made cheese and tortillas and learnt so much about the farm, cheesemaking etc. Orlando and his family are so friendly and helpful. All set in stunning views. It was lovely to stroke the cows - a real hands on experience. Great change to the hikes and wildlife. A lovely experience. Would recommend!

This was a really fun experience getting to visit a family dairy farm. It was very educational and we learned a lot about the local area, dairy farming, and the family who owns this farm. We got to feed the young cows, bottle feed a baby cow, feed pigs, and even milk a cow/try the milk. The tour wraps up by making your own corn tortillas and watching the process of how cheese is made. Of course, you then get to try it. It was very relaxing and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking an educational, fun, and tasty experience.

This was such a cool experience for me and my family. I have a 4 yr old and he loved it. They were very accommodating with transportation and throughout the whole tour. Would definitely come back next time.

Wow, we booked this trip for my sister's 47th birthday. It wasn't wild or wacky and I thought... should we be doing this tour without small kids BUT absolutely yes you should, it was great! Orlando was a great host, his tour of the real Costa Rica and keeping it natural was superb but his mum, she was amazing! We loved the animals, and home made tortillas and cheese. The view was AMAZING!!

Great tour for families. The kids really enjoyed feeding the calves including bottle feeding one. My son loved tasting the fresh milk, especially with chocolate added.

Wonderful experience. The owners were wonderful hosts. We learned a great deal about how to organically raise cows. The farm was in an absolutely gorgeous area. It was fun feeding the calves and pigs. We made tortillas and had a cheese making demonstration. We snacked on the cheese and tortillas. Highly recommend this tour.

Spectacular views, knowledgeable hosts, and a fun hands-on tour perfect for kids made this one of our highlights of the trip. One of few activities we did that didn't involve hoards of tourists. Happy to learn about the host's sustainable farming practices and how they use the native ecology to raise cattle and reduce pesticide usage. Host also recommended the nearby Restaurante Turín for a lunch before or after the cheese tour - which became our second most favorite spot in CR! Overall, very chill, very welcoming hosts, and excellent activity for a family with kids.

Orlando, his father and sister were fantastic. They gave us a full history of this farm and the origins of the Monteverde Cheese Farm. Loved experiencing the cows and even milking one! Enjoyed fresh mild and made cheese and tortillas!

Such an amazing experience. It was so wholesome and fun to learn about farming in Costa Rica. The whole family came to talk about their lives and the animals were so adorable and friendly.

Maravillosa experiencia en familia con la gentileza, amabilidad y sonrisa de nuestros anfitriones, Carolina, y los 2 Orlandos. El respirar este aire tan puro, disfrutar de la belleza del lugar, alimentar una hermosa becerrita ( Dani) con su biberón, y a otros animalitos de la granja, ordeñar a Matilda, darle de beber al gatito ( Roberto) leche directa del chorrito de la vaca, aprender a hacer queso y tortillas de maíz y degustarlos después con un buen café fue sin duda muy gratificante para chicos y grandes. Si tienen la oportunidad, háganlo. 👍
