The best element was Renzo Durini, our tour guide. From the minuye we met him thru the end of our tour in Como, he endowed us with an unimaginable amount of history, background and facts related to Como, the multiple cultures and countries that influenced architecture and governance of the city and region. He was helpful advising places to visit beyond the tour and places to eat. He truly was the tour. I highly recommend the tour and securing Renzo if you can.

Nice tour

We met our guide at the train station. We were the only couple on the tour. The guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The walking tour lasted about an hour and a half, then he helped us purchase tickets for the ferry and gave us directions to a restaurant in a small village. We were on our own after that and returned on the train with the tickets he purchased for us.

Our small group ended up...

Our small group ended up being a private tour. Emilio was a knowledgeable tour guide for the town of Como. Unrelated to our guide, this tour was very expensive and did not include the funicular tour or more importantly a lake cruise. We did expect to hear more about the homes around the lake on this tour. On our own, we dined in a cafe overlooking the lake. It was an hour by train from Milan and depending on where you’re staying could be additional time to the train station. Lastly, instructions to meet our guide were poor. Luckily, Emilio found us!

Our guide was great! Very knowledgeable and personable. It is an expensive tour and wasn’t sure why we had to buy his boat ticket. Regardless would recommend!

Our guide had great knowledge of Lake Como - current and past! He offered up great suggestions for local spots as opposed to touristy spots. He gave us maps, his phone number and explained things in great detail. Overall, a great experience.

The tour is a little pricey for what you get - 2 train tickets and a stroll around Como. Don’t get me wrong, Renzo is a fantastic tour guide who shared his wealth of knowledge of Como and its history. 10/10 for Renzo.

This tour was absolutely amazing and a must do if you want a quick and knowledgeable trip of Lake Como. The tour guide was excellent and funny. He recommended amazing places and activities to do after the tour. We started in Milan at the train station and finished in Milan around 1:00pm. We had the rest of the day to explore Como.

This was a great trip. Our guide was a local from lake Como so he knew the best places to go! He was so knowledgeable and pleasant to be with. We spent about 3 hours with him in Lake Como he told the best pasta place for lunch - then we took the ferry around the lake - beautiful!! Highly recommend!!
