The Last Supper is not to be missed! I’m so glad we chose a guided tour and had Katerina G. P. as our guide. Katerina was so friendly and knowledgeable. The visit would not have been half as meaningful without her background information. She was able to answer any and all questions. When we got inside, she provided even more insight. Visiting The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci was truly one of the highlights of my time in Milan. Standing in front of such an iconic masterpiece, knowing its historical, artistic, and cultural significance, is an experience that goes far beyond expectations.
The atmosphere in the refectory is serene and respectful, allowing you to fully appreciate the emotion, detail, and genius of Leonardo’s work. The controlled access and limited number of visitors create an intimate setting, making the visit feel exclusive and meaningful.
The organization was excellent, from the entrance process to the timing of the visit, and the explanations provided gave valuable context without overwhelming the experience. It is a rare privilege to see such a fragile and extraordinary work of art so closely preserved.

The tour was very confusing. I downloaded the app to have the most current information and on the app it stated to meet in front of the church at 4 o’clock. I got to the church 30 minutes early and saw other people going in and out of the ticket office, so I went in there and ask if a friend could join us and they told us no it was sold out so we went back outside and we waited more and then we noticed that everybody had headsets or earphones and so we went back in to the ticket office and asked do we need these should we get them and the female attendant was not very helpful and she said no your guide will give it to you so OK we go back. We stand in front of the church and we see other groups. All we knew was the name of our guide and her name was Katriina so my husband saw a group standing by the ticket centre and he said I wonder if that’s the group by now it’s five after four and we’ve been standing in front of the church and so he went over and asked a member of the group and they said yes this was Katrina so then he called me over. I said to Katrina the directions said that to stand in front of the church it stated that on the app and she said no no that’s not how it is it is here and you need your ticket and your ear phone. You have to go back inside. Show them your identification and she just denied everything and said that we were wrong and then I went and I showed her what it said on the app for her to read it herself and she goes. Oh sometimes you know they get it wrong that I sent it to my people.
I never received anything so we had to go back in the office and get our paper ticket and also are earphone and so we missed the first 10 minutes of her talking of the tour and then we carried on from there so that was all very disappointing and confusing.

I am really sorry for your disappointment out of your confusion. I was there at our meeting point half an hour before the tour. Everyone of the group understood where the meeting point was and showed on time except for you and your husband. Everyone got their tickets and headsets before the mandatory check-in procedure of the venue at the box office. You didn’t even call me to say you were late, but we stayed outside in the cold and waited for you for quite a bit. Then I still took care to leave your tickets at the box office for you to collect them whenever you got there and the internal staff as well were kind and helpful to keep them for you though you didn’t call and no one is held to accommodate late shows.
Instead of apologising when you eventually showed and listening, you interrupted my already started explanation with no regard to the rest of the group focusing the attention on you.
I don’t understand what app are you referring to, as I never had an app and what you showed me was a printed page of something which I did not recognise and that was not the right moment to investigate.
Though you missed your opportunity to make of this a five star experience, I still hope that at least you listened to my explanation and managed to learn something about the painting and enjoy it .

Visiting the last supper is a unique experience of great historical value. Nevertheless, manage your expectations because there is nothing else with the exception of another wall painting , the crucifixion of christ by Montorfano. There is absolutely nothing else to see here. Also, the tour price is too high. You’re better off buying the 15 euro ticket directly from the venue

I really appreciate it as my goal is exactly that — to provide my customers with an unique experience of Leonardo’s Last Supper. At the same time I am also really sorry to read that your expectations were not met by the number of original wall paintings still surviving in the former refectory. It is my understanding that your wrong expectations were NOT resulting from the detailed description of my product provided by Viator, which you could read before purchasing. In case the description was not clear to you, you could also contact me through Viator prior to your purchase and ask me what else besides the Last Supper could be seen there in order to adjust your expectations accordingly, but you never did that. So, though I don’t feel that I deserve your mediocre rating of only 3 stars just because you were expecting to see more than what is mentioned in the tour description, I still thank you for the time and effort that you invested in this review.

We learned about the man, DiVinci, about the process of the commissioning of the Last Supper, and the stages of his painting it. Our tour guide went through describing each figure, their specific position in the painting and the symbolism expressed in the painting. The late afternoon hour provided us with a less crowded museum and a more conducive atmosphere for reflection. That coupled with a very knowledgeable guide was a recipe for a perfect tour.

Your started a little later because we were waiting for others to get there, overall learned a lot and was great to see the last supper; tickets are hard to get to book as soon as you can. Tour was about an hour and it was plenty of time

Note: this is NOT a private tour although it is titled and advertised as such. The tour/guide were informative but we expected a private tour given the title but we were in a large group - approx 20 people. The tour was a bit unorganized at the start as some members were late / with young children.
Overall, good and informative tour. However, do not expect a “private” tour being just you / your immediate group as is the expectation with other Viator “private” tours.

Dear Kyle, thanks for appreciating my tour and I’m sorry that you were expecting a private one. I have no idea why you were expecting a tour only for you, when it is clearly indicated in my description that it is a group tour. And in my title it is only “Da Vinci’s Last Supper” and not “Private Da’Vinci……”. I had only one private tour in May this year and the price per person was way more expensive than what you paid. I will check with Viator if by any chance on some of the other platforms where they advertise it, it was still kept in the shape it was in that one time occasion. My tours are normally for small groups of 6-12 people and rarely (only in July and August) for bigger groups like the one that you had. And every time when the size of the group changes, I duly change the description of my product, as well as its price per person.
I’m also sorry that you had to leave earlier and couldn’t hear the last details of my explanation, but as you noticed the entrance time is strictly observed by the venue and no changes are possible. Hopefully you learned a lot and enjoyed it enough to keep a positive memory of my tour an recommend it to your friends.

Caterina was absolutely incredible at guiding us through our visit to see DaVinci’s Last Supper. We had a fabulous time, learned a ton, and she recommended a fantastic restaurant for dinner that was the best place we ate in Milan!! Would 10000000000% book with her for a private guided tour!!!!

I have paid significant amount for a 45 min waiting under the rain, standing outside in the line, listening wikipedia info.

Dear Natalia_B, I’m sorry to read about this negative experience of yours and even more for your new year started with resentment in your heart instead of gratitude…, but I really can’t understand what tour you’re referring to. My Last Supper tour started exactly at the announced time and no one of the participants waited in line. It lasted exactly one hour as indicated in the description. If you are referring to my 30th Dec. tour, then you paid the off season reduced price and could enjoy a full hour of expert narrative not to be found on any wiki- or other online -pedia. My tour is not to be blamed if the venue rules do not allow anticipated entrance in case of rain and unfortunately nobody has the power to control weather. Next time maybe an umbrella could turn handy. :)
