We had a great experience. We did two tours with Pedro and the trips were amazing. Pedro is friendly, punctual and very helpful. He provided information for us to make a decision that worked best for us. He wasn’t pushy and pleasant to be with all day. Will definitely ask for him when I come back.

We had a great morning with Daniel exploring all the sights on this tour. The boat ride was really enjoyable and exploring the Frida Kahlo neighbourhood was great. He had some great recommendations for lunch, coffee and churros in the area. Would recommend!

    Poor communication

    Toyosi_O, Mar 2026
Transportation to and Fro Xochimilco was convenient, but that’s about it. This was the most boring tour I ever went on Viator. I’ve booked multiple trips on Viator and this is the worst so far. I learnt nothing about xochimilco, Coyoacán or Frida’s house on this trip. Please don’t book this trip if you are truly wanting an informative guided trip.

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

Hi Toyosi, I hope you are doing great! I´m so sorry to hear about this inconvenience but please take into account that you chose our basic plan and we brought you a private tour. The trajinera man and our operator tried to give you all the information about the zone but it was difficult to them you didn´t put attention in the explication, maybe you weren´t in the mood. However you were antipathic to our operator and we didn´t know about what was the problem with our operator or our service. Again we are so sorry for this inconvenience and that the tour wasn´t as expected for both of us. We will improve to avoid this ratings in the future and manage better this difficult situations.

    Very Disappointing

    Tom_O, Mar 2026
Guide did not speak English at all well. Further he could not explain why Xochimilco was worth visiting and other basic facts.

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

Tom, We really tried to give you a really good experience with all the indications and the help that we could bring, however you weren´t in the mood and the tour unfortunely wasn´t as expected. Please keep in mind that every tour is important to us, as our driver knowledge and good speaking (in English). We will do better because we want to improve at every tour.

was a terrific trip for when you are short on time visiting Mexico City. Rafael picked us up at our hotel and took us around the town to the Xochimilco Boats and then to the Coyacán district and the Frida Kahlo blue house. he was nice enough to drop us in Zocalo instead of back to our hotel

The Tour with Rafael Zarraga was great.

    Erika_R, Jan 2026
Our guide/conductor Rafael Zarraga was really insightful and a great driver. Shared history about xochimilco and knowledge of our stops. Would highly recommend. Great way to spend a day in Mexico city.

    Don’t book this tour

    Mary_R, Jan 2026
This tour is a complete scam. You spend more time in a vehicle than actually enjoying Xochimilco and Coyoacán. Not only did we spend most of the time in traffic we also had to wait on another driver to get there with 2 other guest. This tour is not enough time.

    Response from Host, Jan 2026

What a pity that your tour was not such a pleasant experience, but it is more regrettable that you try to pass a return commenting that the guide did not show up and with regard to traffic we do not control it, unfortunately in high season traffic always increases due to the number of people who arrive in Cdmx and you paid for an obvious shared tour, we must meet with the other passengers, so the option of private tours so that you do not have to share the unit with him. Nobody else.

    Great tour!

Great tour on the boats and of the market! Really enjoyed this tour and learned a lot. It was well worth the time!

    Extremely disappointing and borderline scam

    Jordi_S, Nov 2025
This tour was one of the worst experiences we’ve had with Viator. They crammed the three of us into a small SUV with three strangers, turning a one-hour drive into a very uncomfortable ride. At Xochimilco, instead of enjoying the experience, we spent the entire time being pushed to buy souvenirs, food, and extras from every direction. It was early in the morning and we were the only tourists there, so all the attention (and pressure) was on us. It felt nothing like a relaxing cultural visit. After that, they dropped us off in Coyoacán with zero guidance. The tour advertises the Frida Kahlo Museum, which is completely misleading. The museum was closed that day, and even if it had been open, the tour does NOT include tickets. Tickets must be booked at least a month in advance, which the tour description doesn’t mention at all. So we were left wandering Coyoacán alone for two hours, something we could have easily done ourselves by Uber for a sixth of the price. We paid $180 for three people, and the entire experience felt like a total scam. We absolutely do not recommend this tour.

    Response from Host, Nov 2025

We feel that your experience was not to your liking, but there are two ways to buy the tours and it is well specified in the description, the transfer was shared, not private, they informed me that you wanted reimbursement because you had the income included and that is not the case, in the itinerary of our activity it clearly states that the income to the Frida Museum is not included and in the confirmation it is also reported that no museum in Mexico is open on Mondays, with respect to Coyoacan on Mondays. Guide I inform you that due to your bad attitude you decided to take an Uber and leave the tours, we have many travelers and they have always been very satisfied with the services, as a recommendation you should read the itineraries well so that you can keep in mind that it includes and that no, any concerns we are attentive to give a quick response.

    Highly recommend

Very boring not recommended at all

    Sigalit_K, Oct 2025
Tour was boring the guide didn’t speak much English and not interested We didn’t see much came back after four hours to our hotel

    Response from Host, Oct 2025

It is our wish to obtain more information about what guide they had to review the subject, our mission is that all our clients are totally satisfied, we are waiting for your answer.

Don't even bother doing literally anything else.

    Dominick_K, Sep 2025
Overall, the experience was quite disappointing; we wish we had skipped it altogether. To start, the guide/driver was basically useless; the only thing he provided was a ride. He never introduced himself to us, told us where we were going, or explained any of the sites we visited. As for the sites we visited, none were worth the car ride, given that we spent 3 hours in the car for an underwhelming experience. The boat ride was very boring; no explanation was provided about the canals, such as their history. It was just people trying to sell you stuff on the boat. Additionally, the price for this experience is too high, considering the guide did nothing at all; we could have saved a significant amount of money by using Uber.

    Response from Host, Sep 2025

Dear traveler, We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. It is very important for us to know every detail so we can improve our services. Could you please share with us the date when you took the tour, the name under which the reservation was made, and if possible, the name of the driver/guide? We work with several drivers, and this information will help us identify who was assigned to your service and review the situation properly. We sincerely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us strengthen the quality of our tours, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much more enriching experience in the future. Sincerely, ARC Tours Team

Had the best time! Loved it. Daniel was amazing!!

    Zoya_D, Aug 2025
My Family and I had an amazing time going to Xochimilico! Our driver, Daniel, was an incredible tour guide. He picked us up from our hotel (great communication! Responded to our messages quickly and made sure we were comfortable from start to end). I cannot recommend Daniel enough - he was so sweet, so kind and so helpful. The boat ride was a lovely experience - you experience true Mexican culture. We especially loved the walk around the Coyoacan. It was so pretty!! Absolutely great day. I recommend you book with this company and not look elsewhere. Great value for money.

Traditional location, 1 hour walk, quite reasonable duration. The canals are a classic of Mexico, where the city was born

Very organized. All on time, the guide and driver were very friendly and ready to help. The tour on the trajinera was very nice and the time to explore in Coyoacán on our own was enough to know. I would generally recommend it for family or friends. Especially since once you book, you don’t have to worry about anything else anymore.
