Itinerary

Meet a driver at your hotel for an evening departure, then set out on a gourmet trip in a comfortable, private vehicle (the exact schedule is up to you). You’ll explore a few neighborhoods, each with a distinctive feel and culture.

Enjoy a roving dinner that’s designed for maximum flavor, including a variety of tacos, one of Mexico’s most iconic street foods. Throughout the evening, the guide will share insights into the places you pass, stories about each neighborhood, and key background information on the dishes.

When you’re ready for a drink, duck into a local establishment to try mezcal—a smoky, more-flavorful answer to tequila—and sip some locally-made craft beer. In addition to tacos and drinks, the tour also includes some surprise dishes that change with availability and the season, so you can experience what’s fresh and interesting.

After a night of food and exploring, this tour concludes with a return transfer to your hotel.

Very expensive for what you get. Nice tour guide, but charging almost $200 per person to visit 3 taco stands and a mezcal bar for 1 drink is significantly overpriced compared to other experiences we had in CDMX

We went to 4 different taco spots as well as a very cool bar where we had some fantastic mezcal. We did not speak Spanish and our guide was super helpful in getting us an awesome array of different types of tacos at all these spots. I was totally stuffed at the end and had some fantastic tacos. Awesome tour for sure. 5/5 stars.

What a fun night! Our guide was awesome. Loved that it was a private tour and we got picked up and dropped off. It was also nice to have a break from walking as well. We went to four places and had such a good variety of tacos. It was really interesting to learn about all the different styles. I was so full at the end, I couldn’t eat another bite. Highly recommended!

Hands down one of the best experiences. Our driver Juan and our guide Carlos were amazing! We had the best time, ate some of the most delicious food. We went to three locations, and it was a blast, the first location was absolutely amazing, and our last stop changed life, that bean and cheese tostada was indescribable. Carlos also helped me practice my Spanish, much appreciated. Best team ever! Will do again when I come back to CDMX.

There were 2 of us plus the guide and the driver who picked us up from the hotel. We went to three places where they had different tacos, plus the market called Jamaica (not pronounced like the country) where plenty of flowers and arrangements can be bought). I totally liked all the tacos I ate, plus drinks. Had no issues with them, honestly. They were different from those I have in my neck of the woods in Queens NYC where plenty of Mexicans live.. And I also liked the corn with mayonnaise and spices. I am surprised by seeing plenty of people showing up to get tacos in these places at night. This is really worth getting introduced to tacos varieties and other local food delicacies.

This was really a fun and educational tour. Carlos is an excellent guide and the spots that were picked were all non tourist type places..also the variety of different types of tacos was great. Having a driver was key as well because he would drop us off at the front of every taco place and pick us up as well. The only thing we had to do was eat and drink! If you've seen the taco chronicles, this is a great way to taste a lot of the different style tacos they feature in that documentary series. Highly recommended!

Elysio (our driver) and Carlos (tour guide) were fantastic! They were punctual and picked us up from our hotel. They took us to 4 different places where we ate 9 tacos (we had options to have more but we were stuffed) and tastings of mezcal, beers, and cocktails. Carlos was very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. We were able to tour parts of Mexico City we otherwise may not have ventured to and try tacos that locals' favorites. My advice to anyone taking this tour is not to eat anything all day as you will eat more than enough on this tour. I highly recommend this tour.

A safe, professional and insightful tour combining amazing food, drink, sights and company. This tour was truly outstanding. Despite our tour taking place on the busiest night in the City the Day of the Dead Parade, restricting vehicular access to our hotel, Alejandra and Vicky pulled out all the stops to ensure our tour went ahead on time, as planned. Alexandra is great host and enabled us to taste both food and drink, alongside locals, in places that we would not have visited without her expert guidance. You will not go hungry! Highly recommended.

Alejandra is an amazing tour guide! As soon as my friends and I met her at our hotel we knew we were in for the total inside scoop on Mexican street food. We had out of this world food like esquites, carne aracherra, and cecina. Absolutely loved sampling Mezcal and artisanal Mexican beer! Tacos al Pastor anyone? Alejandro and her charming driver Vicky will take you to incredible eateries!! I learned so much from this tour and I've traveled extensively throughout Mexico. My friends and I couldn't stop talking about how wonderful the food was on this tour. Mil Gracias Alejandra!
