    The hot air balloon ride over the pyramids was amazing. We saw the sun rise over the city and the archaeological site and it was perfect. Jorge was our guide, great guy. Teotihuacan itself is big enough to enjoy but not so big that you get tired quickly. Bring water. There are lots of people who offer to be a guide for a fee but I have heard they often make things up. You can just read about it beforehand and skip the guide.

    Hardly anything other than flying over the pyramids is as described. We flew less than 30 minutes. After, they ended up taking us to a souvenir shop. This is the oldest trick in the book when going on a Mexican excursion. This isn't something you're signing up for, and the tour service either gets paid to take you there or it's their shop. Either way their scamming you out of your time and money. The only place this is even remotely mentioned is in Spanish, and to make it even worse is it's the only thing in the description written in Spanish; it couldn't be more obvious they're trying to hide it. If you follow the initial way they explain the itinerary in the description, and don't speak Spanish, this is laid out like the breakfast that is described. We were only able to spend 1 hour at the pyramids because of all the time we wasted at the souvenir shop. Additionally, the Viator description does show that the tour is offered in English, but once arriving at the pyramids it will cost you an additional $50 / person for an English tour guide. Then we had to rush through the site to get back to the bus before we were left. Many others offer this exact trip for a lot cheaper, and we paid a premium price because the listing indicated a premium experience. Unfortunately, this is a case of false advertising.
