What are people saying about Mexico City
Gabriel_G, Jun 2026
It's a cultural show!
This is a fun and interesting experience. I think you truly need a local to explain what it's all about, because there is a lot of yelling and screaming that is part of the show, people letting their emotions and frustrations out Ina safe environment. It's a show, and as such you have to see it for what it is, entertainment and an outlet!
Our guide was awesome and it was fun. I would say that if you have young kids or adolescents, they may get bire quickly and not appreciate the experience as much.

So Much Information
We had an excellent guide for our museum tour. Her name was Alexa, and she presented the information so clearly and with so much depth. We will not be able to remember all of it, but we gained a deep appreciation for the civilizations and culture from the México City region long before it was Mexico City! I highly recommend a tour because there is much to learn, but very few of the printed placards are in English. Alexa was quite fluent, but more importantly, quite well-informed on her subject-matter. She is an expert and were very grateful that she shared all her knowledge with us for 2.5 hours. But, be ready for a lot of standing!!

The best private tour!
Our tour with Mariel was awesome! She hit all the highlights and kept things interesting. Even our 9 yr old enjoyed it and that’s saying a lot! We would have had 0 idea what we were looking at in the museum if we didn’t do a tour because all the signs are in Spanish.
This tour is the way to go. Skip the groups and take a tour made just for your family.

A truly special tour
Our tour with George was a wonderful experience. Our small group went to the pyramids the first day it opened after the tragic shooting in April. George was respective of the circumstances, knowledgeable about the area and history, and provided us with a safe, interesting day. We had an enjoyable time doing a bit of shopping and brunch on a street nearby, a fun van ride to and from our hotel, and a perfect day. Highly recommend!

Great tour of Teotihuacan and Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe including delicious lunch. Our tour guide Veronica was fantastic. She spent the entire time providing us a history of the sites, details of cultural significance, tips for viewing, and lots of help with a 102-year old family member.

We had a great trip! Only about 2 hours out of the city, went on about a 4 hour hike and then back. Hike was relatively easy but the altitude made it more difficult for me. Ate a snack at the top and then came down and had a big lunch at a small local spot. They had everything included and everything we needed. Overall we had a great trip and the views were beautiful

Worth it!
If you're debating about making this trek, stop hesitating. My 10-year-old daughter and I had an amazing visit. We will never forget the magic of all those butterflies! The ride was long, the hike was dusty, but really not all that strenuous for us. The scenery was beautiful, even without the thousands of fluttering wings. Our guides were kind, knowledgeable, and flexible, and we felt well-cared for. I highly recommend- no regrets for spending a day of our CDMX trip visiting the sanctuary.

Action Packed Half Day Hike with Omar
The Adventure starts early at 8am at a convenient spot near Roma Norte where you meet your super-guide Omar. From there our group of 4 loaded into Omars vehicle and headed to the mountains which are about 40min. away. Even though you are technically in CDMX, it is a whole different world. Upon arrival Omar provided us with backpacks containing a helmet, safety harness and water and explained in detail how to properly use the safety equipment. The trail is quite steep and rocky with an area which requires you to climb a long steel ladder up a cliff. Omar is watching your every step to make sure there is no danger to your safety. The climb reveals several breath taking view points at which we stopped to eat lunch (bring your own food and snacks) from there we descended down a different trail where we ran into cows randomly grazing in the forest and a beautiful river with stunning waterfalls. The hike is a few hours long depending on the groups pace and is a great workout and exciting experience for those who are feeling adventurous but don’t have time to climb an entire volcano. I highly recommend this tour!!!

We both had an exceptional day of hiking this trail with Luis from Que Loco! Tours. Luis is extremely competent, and had his eyes on all in our small group to measure our comfort and safety. He was also a very nice man, enjoyable to talk to, and we had good conversations about the park, the region, our cultures, etc. I would highly recommend this tour and hike!

Better with an early start
Highly recommend this with the early start. Its well worth it when you see the bus loads of people arriving as you leave.
If anything, even earlier is better because it can get really hot. The guide was okay. Note that afterwards you are taken to tequila & mescal tasting and where you can buy souvenir, the vendors are nice and not too pushy. So glad i went.

I booked this tour for my mom’s 60th birthday, as it has always been her wish to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. I am so grateful to Gabriel, our tour guide, for giving us such a wonderful experience that we will always treasure as a family. The tour was not only insightful but also truly impactful. We now have so many beautiful photos to look back on, thanks to Gabriel for being a great photographer too! I really appreciated that he never rushed us and allowed us to explore each area at our own pace. At the end of the tour, he even recommended a quick go-to snack, Pastes Kiko’s (so good!!).
Thank you again, Gabriel—10/10 highly recommend booking this tour!

Beautiful horses and scenery
We loved getting to meet and spend time with Yunuen and his 2 kiddos. Super sweet family. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate. It rained the entire day. We still rode the horses but didn’t get the full experience due to slippery conditions. We were thankful that Yunuen cut the ride short for our safety. Lunch and drinks after were delicious! We had a yummy Mexican soup that warmed us up followed by a delicious Mexican bbq. I would recommend this tour 10/10. I hope to do it again when it’s not raining. Yunuen told us that we can reach out for a free reschedule the next time we’re in town which we thought was a very nice offer!
