My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Our guide Ricardo was fantastic… so knowledgeable, personable, and able to answer any questions thrown his way. We did everything on the itinerary, and the journey was enhanced because of Ric’s commentary and explanations. I’m so glad we did this tour instead of visiting the castle and museum on our own. Thank you!!

Learned a lot. Tour guide knew a lot of information. Loved the castle. But loved all the different groups that were displayed in the tour.

    A Fantastic Tour Through History

    Nathan_G, Jun 2026
Ricardo was a brilliant tour guide, not to mention a trained historian. He brought Chapultepec castle and the Anthropology museum to life for our small group. He also took an interest in our interests, invited questions and answered them all, and was always patient and kind. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

    I would book again

Riccardo is the best guide you can have. My partner isn’t even interested in history but she also has great time!

2 CDMX highlights for 1 great deal!

    Danya_P, Jun 2026
Amazing, informative tour. Ricardo was funny, personable, and insanely knowledgeable about the places and cultures we explored in the museums - had the answer to every question our group had! Great way to pack in two CDMX highlights, though you'll definitely want to budget time to visit the exhibits in the Anthro museum we just couldn't possibly cover. Considering this tour includes tickets to both attractions (otherwise ~$12 USD per place, $24 total per person), it was an excellent value choice. My friend and I had a lot of fun!

Excellent 5 Hour Tour through Chapultepec, Anthropology Museum and Castle Wed, May 13, 2026

Our guide Ricardo Moreno was excellent. His broad knowledge and ability to effectively take us through the history of Mexico City was absolutely amazing. Truly an enjoyable experience and I highly recommend.

    Great Experience!

    Stephanie_V, May 2026
Great experience! We learned so much about the history of Mexico. We loved how knowledgeable Ricardo was and how effortlessly the tour flowed.

Great tour if you love history

    SarahF, May 2026
This tour is really thorough and I’d recommend it if you like history. If you don’t and or have kids with you this is probably not the tour for you. It is quite a bit of walking, as is everything in CDMX, so prepare for that. The tour guide was really knowledgeable. He made sure we had bathroom breaks and a break for a quick lunch in the middle.

Impressed with Ricardo’s knowledge and organization

    Sunny_L, May 2026
Ricardo was extremely knowledgeable, kind and patient with the group. He knew so much about the Castillo and museum of anthropology, truly captured the essence of the history and culture of the two locations. We were impressed with the structure of the tour, and would definitely book with Ricardo in the future.

An interesting tour with an exceptional tour guide

    Lauren_m, May 2026
We had a great time at this tour. The tour guide, Ricardo, was amazing and explained everything very well. We spent about 2 hours at chapultapec Castle and another 2 hours at the anthropology museum, with about an hour in between to walk between the locations and get some food. We wish we had more time in the museum, as it is huge and we could only cover a portion of it. But whatever we did visit was very interesting.

    A day in rich history

    JoAn_R, May 2026
Rick was very knowledgeable and passionate about Mexico’s ancient history. It was great to learn from such a thoughtful and thorough tour guide.

A walk through time with a great guide

    Margaret_R, May 2026
Ric knows Mexican history and every step that finally brought them their Independence over many decades of civil wars and run-ins with Spain and France. The Chapultepec Castle is a walk through those years and the people who fought for their freedom. Especially moving was the ceiling mural of the young student who jumped to his death clutching the Mexican flag from the watchtower rather than surrender it to their enemies. We then stopped for lunch on the way to the National Museum of Anthropology where Ric led us through over 2,000 years of history on the way to modern day Mexico. I learned a lot from Ric's entertaining and educational walk thru the Museum. I will have to return to learn more from the second floor...not enough time, so, I will be back for the rest of the Museum. Thanks, Ric for five hours of immersive learning.

Really good tour. The tour guide knew everything about the Castello and Museum. Accurate historical information. Recommended!

    Nancy_D, May 2026
Rick provided a great amount of detail about each site we visited, made sure we had enough time to explore, and answered all of our questions patiently. He is one of the most knowledgeable tour guides I have experienced so far, and he is also genuinely kind and thoughtful, always taking care of people in the small details. I would strongly recommend touring with him. A helpful note for anyone booking on a Sunday: the Anthropology Museum offers free public admission on Sundays, so the lineup can be extremely long. We waited under the sun for quite a while before entering. Rick did everything he could to make the wait easier. He suggested that we stay in the shade while he held our place in line under the sun, which was incredibly considerate. There was also some entertainment nearby, so the wait was not too dull. That said, if you have flexibility, I would recommend avoiding Sundays because of the crowds and long lines. The tour itself, and Rick as a guide, were absolutely excellent!

Nice day - check it out!

Great to see! It was a nice day, very informative with a great guide. It was just the right amount of time, def recommend :)

    Great experience in Mexico City

Brenda, the guide was very knowledgeable and explained history and background. She solicited questions from the group to be sure we understood her presentation.

Insightful & Well-Paced Tour of Chapultepec Castle and Anthropology Museum

    Noelia_H, Apr 2026
We had a fantastic experience on the 5-hour tour of Chapultepec Castle and the Anthropology Museum. Our guide, Ricardo, made the castle portion especially engaging—we learned so much about the paintings and historical artifacts that we never would have appreciated on our own. Ricardo was also very thoughtful about the pace of the tour, incorporating regular breaks to keep the walking manageable and enjoyable. At the Anthropology Museum, he did an excellent job highlighting the most important and fascinating exhibits, which helped us get a deeper understanding without feeling overwhelmed. A great bonus is that you’re welcome to stay at the museum after the tour ends if you’d like to explore further at your own pace. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a meaningful and well-guided introduction to these incredible sites!

    Informative tour

    Karolynn_H, Apr 2026
Ricardo was an excellent guide. He explained the castle and museum in a very interesting way. The museum is huge, so I liked that he pointed out the most important parts of each exhibit without overwhelming the group with too much information. Especially small unique items that I never would have noticed on my own. He offered breaks and bathroom visits multiple times throughout the tour. And we had time after the tour to explore the museum further. Wear comfortable shoes, it’s a long day. But highly recommended.

    Overwhelming in the Best Way

    Max_M, Apr 2026
Ricardo (Rick) was an amazing tour guide, very knowledgeable, fun, and answered many questions. With there being so much to cover, we were running behind but he went over the original end time, with everyone’a agreement, to cover the rest of the tour content. The tour itself was incredible - the sights, the education, the stories and history, all so incredible. My friend and I would have surely missed a ton of it without the tour guide. Best way to spend a birthday in Mexico.

Educational tour including not to be missed Anthropology Museum.

    Susan_J, Apr 2026
Excellent overview of major events in Mexican history through the lens of the Chapultepec castle and the enormous, amazing museum of Anthropology . The latter museum is far too large to see unjust one tour, but this one goes over the major pieces and events from the pre-Aztec and Aztec times. You then can stay as long as you want to view the rest of the museum,

    Great Tour

    Kathy_G, Apr 2026

Beautiful (both the castle and the walk there) with the guide giving us lots of good background information. The walk from the castle to the museum was great since we passed lots of stalls in the park and we stopped for a quick coffee. The museum is stunning and the information provided was comprehensive. This tour was a great way to see both sites and get a lot of background information.

Ricardo Moreno was a fantastic guide. Even though I was the only person who showed up for this particular tour, he did not cancel. Instead he gave me a private tour. He is very knowledgeable and was patient and answered all my many questions. I got a lot out of learning what so many things in the Antheopology museum actually mean. I would highly recommend this guide and this tour
