Our guide was super knowledgeable about the history of Chapultepec! He gave us great insights and was able to answer all of our questions. Highly recommend!
Ricardo does a great job at being your guide. Our tour started on time. Lucky for us, the day we went we had a very small group. It was easy to ask questions and we were able to get through the areas pretty easy. We went on a Sunday, unknowingly, all museums are free to Mexican citizens, which means they can be a little crowded. We were still able to maneuver through the castle and museum with any issue. Ricardo was good a giving us the needed information while keeping us moving through each place. Plan to stand/walk the entire time. We covered a large area. The walk through the forest was a really nice way to break up the castle and the museum.
Richardo was knowledgeable and caring, we learned so much from this 5-hr walking tour. Highly recommend it, and wish Richardo all the best with his ambition.
Great to see the castle and anthropology muesum. I would not have been able to undestand the signifigance or progrss of pre and post columbian Mexico without the guides knodlege about art and stories/mesages it conveys. 100% worth it.
Our tour guide Brenda was amazing. She knew so much and seemed so well-informed. We had a great time and we learned a lot!
The tour with Ric was FABULOUS! Ric was so knowledgeable, entertained all of our questions, and gave us the perfect foundation of Mexican history (ancient and modern). They went above and beyond throughout the tour—they didn’t just know the historical facts, but also where to grab a snack, where the bathrooms were, and gave us ample opportunities for breaks throughout the trip. The day flew by and they did a great job getting us excited about the city and Mexican history. It was especially helpful to have them guide us through the Anthropology museum—we got so much more out of it than we would have on our own. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anybody!
Ricardo curates a wonderful and informative tour of two major tourist destinations that could be totally overwhelming without such an experienced guide. If you want to do Cahpultapec Castle and the National Museum of Anthropology in one day, do it with Ricardo - he is deeply knowledgeable, friendly, fluent in English, and he has the timing down perfectly.
Ricardo was an outstanding tour guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. He shared interesting facts and local history in a way that kept everyone interested, and he was happy to answer questions along the way. His professionalism, friendly attitude, and passion for what he does really stood out. I highly recommend Ricardo to anyone looking for an informative and memorable tour!
Brenda out tour guide is excellent!! If you book this tour I hope you are lucky enough to get her…her enthusiasm for Mexican history comes through in her work!!! Trust me you will enjoy!!!
Ricardo was a knowledgeable tour guide who took interest in the things we had to say! He gave us great insight on the history of Mexico and the wars that came in the 19th century. He was a guide who looked out for us, and recommended things to see at the end of the tour! I’ll tour with him again any day!
It was a great experience! I highly recommend this tour! Rick was extremely knowledgeable and very personable.
excellent experience Brenda very well experienced professional and informative, the castle and the forest are amazing the museum phenomenal
Ricardo was amazing, as a historian he knew all the important stuff and made the experience unforgettable!
Our tour guide, Brenda, did an excellent job of explaining to us the history and the historical significance of the Castle of Chapultepec.
Not only was she knowledgeable, but she able to share that knowledge in a way that was easy for all to understand.
Afterwards, we took lunch before crossing the street to the Museum of Anthropology. Again Brenda’s knowledge of Pre-Hispanic history made the visit that much more enjoyable.
If you are considering visiting either location, a guide is a must.
Otherwise, you’re just going for a walk.
Ricardo was very knowledgeable and patient in answering my questions. Highly recommend!! My favorite was the anthropology museum. I realized that just going there myself I wouldn't have had the same learning experience. He brought a lot of context and life to the paintings and statues at the museum.
Had sister and friend visiting CDMX for the first time. I booked a guided tour so they could learn in a short amount of time. I had been to both the Castillo and Anthropology museum several times and I learned so much from our guide, Ricardo.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Our guide Ricardo was fantastic… so knowledgeable, personable, and able to answer any questions thrown his way. We did everything on the itinerary, and the journey was enhanced because of Ric’s commentary and explanations. I’m so glad we did this tour instead of visiting the castle and museum on our own. Thank you!!
Learned a lot. Tour guide knew a lot of information. Loved the castle. But loved all the different groups that were displayed in the tour.
Ricardo was a brilliant tour guide, not to mention a trained historian. He brought Chapultepec castle and the Anthropology museum to life for our small group. He also took an interest in our interests, invited questions and answered them all, and was always patient and kind. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!
A well planned out experience. Everything was always punctual, professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable.
Riccardo is the best guide you can have. My partner isn’t even interested in history but she also has great time!
Amazing, informative tour. Ricardo was funny, personable, and insanely knowledgeable about the places and cultures we explored in the museums - had the answer to every question our group had! Great way to pack in two CDMX highlights, though you'll definitely want to budget time to visit the exhibits in the Anthro museum we just couldn't possibly cover. Considering this tour includes tickets to both attractions (otherwise ~$12 USD per place, $24 total per person), it was an excellent value choice. My friend and I had a lot of fun!
Our guide Ricardo Moreno was excellent. His broad knowledge and ability to effectively take us through the history of Mexico City was absolutely amazing. Truly an enjoyable experience and I highly recommend.
Great experience! We learned so much about the history of Mexico. We loved how knowledgeable Ricardo was and how effortlessly the tour flowed.
This tour is really thorough and I’d recommend it if you like history. If you don’t and or have kids with you this is probably not the tour for you. It is quite a bit of walking, as is everything in CDMX, so prepare for that. The tour guide was really knowledgeable. He made sure we had bathroom breaks and a break for a quick lunch in the middle.
Ricardo was extremely knowledgeable, kind and patient with the group. He knew so much about the Castillo and museum of anthropology, truly captured the essence of the history and culture of the two locations. We were impressed with the structure of the tour, and would definitely book with Ricardo in the future.
We had a great time at this tour. The tour guide, Ricardo, was amazing and explained everything very well. We spent about 2 hours at chapultapec Castle and another 2 hours at the anthropology museum, with about an hour in between to walk between the locations and get some food.
We wish we had more time in the museum, as it is huge and we could only cover a portion of it. But whatever we did visit was very interesting.
Rick was very knowledgeable and passionate about Mexico’s ancient history. It was great to learn from such a thoughtful and thorough tour guide.
Ric knows Mexican history and every step that finally brought them their Independence over many decades of civil wars and run-ins with Spain and France. The Chapultepec Castle is a walk through those years and the people who fought for their freedom. Especially moving was the ceiling mural of the young student who jumped to his death clutching the Mexican flag from the watchtower rather than surrender it to their enemies.
We then stopped for lunch on the way to the National Museum of Anthropology where Ric led us through over 2,000 years of history on the way to modern day Mexico.
I learned a lot from Ric's entertaining and educational walk thru the Museum. I will have to return to learn more from the second floor...not enough time, so, I will be back for the rest of the Museum. Thanks, Ric for five hours of immersive learning.
Ricardo was very knowledgeable about all the history of Mexico so we found it very interesting and learnt a lot.
