Everyone knows Frida’s art, but do her poems and letters? Join our literary tour to discover the longings & obsessions, and dreams of one of Mexico’s most acclaimed painters.
We will meet in the El moro coffee shop, where we will read the first Letters of Frida, written years before we met Diego Rivera, as we analyze the portraits made until 1930 (photos on phone)
Then we will walk to the church, the square, and the building where the painters once married. There we will read the letters and confessions written until 1948, a few years after his death.
Finally, we will walk through the market, where some of the author admired the beauty and diversity of Mexican cuisine, as well as the facade of the Blue House, where she wrote her last poems.
Important information: we will not enter the Frida Khalo Museum, due to the complexity of finding tickets that match our schedules. You can buy them on your own.
