- DEPARTURE POINT & TIME: ● Small-group tour: Sunday at 9:00 AM at the entrance of the National Museum of Anthropology(Av. Paseo de la Reforma s/n, Polanco, Bosque de Chapultepec I Secc, Miguel Hidalgo, 11560 Ciudad de México, CDMX). ● Private tour: Choose the time of your preference and start the tour at the same meeting point. This tour doesn't include transportation. In case you need a pick-up/drop-off from your accommodation or the airport, it would involve an extra fee and it should be communicated to the company in advance.
- CUSTOMIZATION: ● Small-group tour: not customizable. ● Private tour: customizable which means the time you spend in each destination can be adjusted to your needs. E.g. if you wanna visit a place that is not part of the default itinerary (e.g. an attraction, restaurant, or market), you can do it on a complimentary basis if this visit (1) fits the default duration of the tour and (2) doesn't involve a major change of the route. If both conditions are met, we can shorten the stay at a particular location included in the program of the tour so that you have time to visit the place you are interested in. Other changes such as extending the duration of the tour, changing the route, and adding extra participants, should be communicated to the Company at least 48 h before the tour and will involve an extra fee.

- LANGUAGE(S): ● Semi-private tour: English & Spanish. ● Private tour: All our tours are led by local bilingual (at least Spanish & English) guides. Some of them fluently speak other languages (e.g. French, German, Italian, Portuguese, or Mandarin) but those depend on availability and cannot be fully guaranteed. If you want to have your tour in a language other than Spanish or English, please kindly inquire in advance.
- WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU: Comfortable clothes and shoes, some cash, personal ID, valid travel insurance; good mood and curiosity.
- NOTES: The price/person for a "Private tour" option varies and depends on the number of participants in your booking. Our guide will meet/pick you up at the agreed time and location and might need to contact you by phone, so please kindly provide a valid phone number during your booking. The standard duration of the tour, as advertised in its description, is calculated from the moment of pick-up till drop-off.

Ari was very personable and knowledgeable and was happy to customize the tour to our needs. She focused on the top items to see in each of the many areas in the Anthropology Museum, which minimized our feeling of being overwhelmed.

Mario was wonderful. He picked us up about hotel and drove us to the Anthropology Museum. We spent over 3 hours there with him. He is full of knowledge of Mexico’s history and Mexico City. My kids wanted to see some axolotes and he said the zoo nearby had some and entrance was free. Super flexible and gave us time for lunch and the zoo before heading to see the castle. He drove us back to our hotel. It was a perfect way to start our vacation.

We really enjoyed this tour of the Museum of Anthropology with Arturo. He led us to all the most important parts of the museum and gave us a great overview of what is otherwise a very extensive museum. It was a great way to understand the history of Mexico before we went to the pyramids at Teotihuacan the next day. Arturo also guided us through the Castle and again made sure to explain the most important exhibits in a clear and interesting presentation.

We had a fantastic experience with our tour guide Arturo in Mexico City. Even though we didn’t book a private tour, it ended up being just the three of us, which made the experience feel very personal and relaxed.
Arturo took us through the Museo Nacional de Antropología and Chapultepec Castle, sharing so many interesting facts and stories along the way. He was incredibly patient, took time to answer all of our questions, and made sure we really understood the history and significance of what we were seeing.
He was also very friendly and welcoming, and you could genuinely tell how much he loves Mexico City. His enthusiasm made the tour even more enjoyable. We learned a lot and had a wonderful time! Highly recommend Arturo if you’re looking for a knowledgeable and engaging guide in Mexico City!

Andrés was super knowledgeable about pretty much everything on this tour. Had we visited this museum and castle on our own we wouldn’t have got 1/50th of the info we were given. So glad we did it the way we did!

The first thing to note is that our guide - Mario - is just a good person to spend a day with. We could have spent a whole day in the Museum of Anthropology, but Mario led us through the exhibits to tell a concise but comprehensive story of Pre-Columbian Mexico while hitting all the highlights. In particular, we appreciated the way he kept us moving through crowds so that we didn’t have to listen to competing narrations, and the way he used the murals throughout the museum to provide a visual complement to his story. My kids appreciated the way he pointed out good photo opportunities.
Both museums are so full of information, and we might have been overwhelmed going through them by ourselves. Because we had limited time to see these sites, we were glad to have a capable guide and consider this experience money well spent.

Sal was our tour guide. He genuinely cares about the history of Mexico and his passion was shared with us through the history, fun facts and the excellent conversations during our time with him. Tour was paced well starting in Historic Center then walking by the Palacio of Bella Artes. During our walk he pointed out buildings of historic importance and shared information along the way. He accommodated our request to go into el Palacio de Bella Artes to see some key pieces of art, we learned if you are a teacher or student with valid ID we could enter for free. From there we drove to Chapuletepec Castle and then walked to National Museum of Anthropology. Along the way we took pictures and stopped to try yummy pan dulce.
It was an excellent day with lots of walking. He dropped us at a stop to have lunch. His lunch recommendation was excellent delicious food, clean and there was music (Cafe de Tacbua), the first stop he recommended didn’t have pozole so we walked to 2nd option.
Highly recommend Sal and he offers other guided tours.
Note: his car was clean and fit 4 people comfortably. I mentioned another with another guide car was tiny.

This tour was a good choice for diving deeper into Mexico’s history. It switched to a private tour when there weren’t enough participants, and the company was very accommodating when my wife got sick and I went alone. Pickup was on time. Arturo, my guide, was friendly, chatty, and clearly knowledgeable. The Anthropology Museum visit was the highlight—really interesting, especially after having already seen Teotihuacan and other sites. We had a quick coffee break afterward, then a shorter visit to Chapultepec Castle to see the artwork and city views. Overall, a solid, informative tour.

Our guide, Mayra, was so knowledgeable and pleasant! She was a great communicator and checked in the day before the tour and gave excellent directions on where to meet. The museum of anthropology is enormous and could be overwhelming, but Mayra expertly guided us through the main highlights and additional exhibits that were relevant to questions we asked. After the museum, she took us through the Bosque forest (twice the size of Central Park!) to get to Chapultepec castle. The castle is something you would never expect to find in Mexico because of the European influence and is worth seeing. I additionally enjoyed seeing the murals and hearing Mayra explain the history behind what was depicted. I would recommend booking an early tour, as both sites get busy in the late morning/early afternoon.

The tour was exceptional. Our guide had almost 20 years of experience and was educated in Mexican history. Because it was private, we were able to modify the tour to our own tastes as well. In addition to our guide, there is a dedicated driver, making the logistics seamless.

This was a great experience. The Anthropolgy museum is overwhelming with it's size so we were lucky to have Pepe as our guide. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable but he treated my wife and I like family from the moment we met him. I would reccomend him to anyone visiting Mexico City.

1. Stated on the website the tour is gonna start at 9am. Got informed at 9:05 the meeting time was 9:30am
2. Guide didn’t show up until 9:40am

This tour is worth every peso/penny! Highly recommended. Our tour guide, Julia, was amazing. She is friendly, kind, patience and brilliant. We had so much fun being with her. There is no doubt had we visited the Castle and the Anthropological Museum on our own we would have see amazing things, but we wouldn’t have learned anything about the incredible and fascinating history of Mexico and Mexico City. We left this tour smarter than before we started and that is all thanks to Julia.
