What a fun afternoon! Ingrid did a fantastic job choosing taco places to see. My husband is gluten free and she made sure to find places that could accommodate dietary restrictions and still give us a wonderful variety of tastes and experiences.

This was our favorite tour in Mexico City! Isaac was an amazing tour guide who took his time with us and made the experience so special. He took us to some amazing taco spots and a dessert place. He knew the Roma Norte neighborhood well and even took us to a park and gave history lesson. Issac started as a guide and left as a new friend.

Unfortunately, this was our most disappointing tour in CDMX. I’d arranged a tour in our hotel area but at the last minute, our guide, Monica, talked us into taking a taxi to a different area of the city. That took almost 1/3 of our paid time - traffic was thick. Then, we ate at two taco places (vegetarian). Monica then tried to take us to a seafood taco place (we’re pescatarian)…but, upon our arrival, they were closed. This actually happened 3 times! All closed! And then she left. We never got our seafood tacos we’d been promised. It was a pretty disappointing experience and literally left us hungry. She needed to do better groundwork to know what was open. And she shouldn’t have had us waste so much time in a taxi.

In a city as large and vibrant as Mexico City is, using local knowledge is essential in getting the most out of the culinary side of things, and José delivered the goods in that regard. The tacos I ate were fantastic, and we also got to explore the historic Santa Maria neighborhood with the stunning Alameda Kiosk. Plus, we finished the tour with some excellent churros and chocolate.

My wife and I have done a number of food tours in our past travels, but over the years we've not done many as my wife developed dietary restrictions to include gluten and dairy. Most food tours tends to be a fixed routine of locations and food items, hence the reason this tour caught our eye when on our trip to Mexico city. It started with a call with Marisol before we had even started our vacation, we scheduled a brief call and discussed all the food restrictions. The day of our tour we met Marisol and she did an amazing job giving us many options to choose from giving us the feeling that we could decide where we'd like to go next and once we got to a location she'd give great recommendations on what from the menu we should avoid and what would be worth trying. In between stops for food Marisol walked us through the city telling us about the recent and not so recent history of Mexico City, talked about the surrounding architecture and happily answered all of our questions. At the end of the night we felt like we had made a new friend and could not have asked for a better way to have spent our evening.

We absolutely had a great experience with Ingrid. She knows the area very well, was very friendly, and showed us different taco places. We were able to try different flavours that we never saw in the US - everything was very tasty. We didn’t just go to established restaurant, we also hit the local market - something we probably wouldn’t be able to do ourselves - the market is HUUUUUGE. We felt we were eating like a local - thanks to Ingrid!

We had a blast walking around spotting all the taco places. Ernesto, our tour guide was beyond amazing. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (he also speaks Portuguese, maybe another language too). We ate so good that tapped out.. Ernesto can customize your experience according to your needs. My boyfriend has celiac and can’t eat gluten. He designed our route to meet this criteria. Seriously, a fantastic experience. Thank you Ernesto for taking such great care of us.
