The highlight of our Mexico City was this it's a early morning one but I think it's worth getting up early one day on your holiday, the tour guide and driver both were very good and the best was breakfast

A great experience from start to finish - private transportation with friendly driver (Carlos) and tour guide (Aleysia) . It was our first balloon ride and it was fantastic- felt very safe and crew appeared to be very skilled and all local staff were very friendly and welcoming. We are vegetarian and we were fortunate that the local restaurant where we ate breakfast after ballon ride had vegetarian options and had a English speaking staff member that understood our dietary requirements- I think name of the restaurant was as Azteca. I highly recommend the tour operator - Excellent Travel
What a helluva awesome way to celebrate my birthday. Woke up early on July 4th (fair skies, light wind, 59 degrees) for 5am pickup at our hotel. Drove north to balloon launch spot. Met two other couples and we 6 went up w Alejandro in the heavenly balloon trip drifting over the awe inspiring Pyramids of Teotihuacan. Smooth landing, then off thru the whole ruins on foot (they have been beautifully restored) with a fantastic tour guide, Howard Cantellano. Anthropology whiz and lots of great facts and stories about the past civilization and the modern day excavations. He led us through everything we were allowed to enter and his attention to detail made this such an enjoyable trip. Spanish and English or a mix Nice brunch/lunch at a local spot. Great driving by Jimena all day. Inclusive of traffic it’s a good 8 hour day.
Fantastic experience! Really appreciated the guide, driver & communication. Breathtaking balloon ride, very informative pyramid guided tour and delicious breakfast. TOTALLY worth the cost and rising 45 min. earlier than usual because of a demonstration in our hotel’s neighborhood, which our guides, Howard & Carlis. anticipated and warned us about. 5-STARS!
This was a magical experience everyone should have. We floated above the pyramids with dozens of other balloons and it felt like a dream. Our guide wanted to spend longer at the pyramids than we were interested in, but he was receptive to a slightly shorter stay there. The balloon was the highlight and it was cool to go from flying over the pyramids to being in the ground exploring them.
You also go to a buffet restaurant for breakfast that was surprisingly good (a little busy from the balloon and pyramid traffic).
We were a group of friends celebrating our 50th birthdays and it could not have been a better way to do it!
The balloon flight was spectacular. The pilot incredible. And car driver was also great. Bring water.
My husband and I had an amazing time on this trip!!! Monica and Etienne were so fun and knowledgeable. They were flexible, allowing us to go at our own pace at the different stops. I cannot recommend this excursion enough. I know it is more expensive than some of the other balloon tours but it is worth it as you can really make the excursion your own.
A must do when in Mexico City. Awesome experience for me and my family. Howard (guide) and Carlos (driver) were the best. Very patient especially with my son who has a disability. Thankful for these two for making our experience memorable and stress free.

The balloon ride was the highlight of our trip. Beautiful views of the pyramids & all the other balloons. Our drivers Carlos & Vanessa were great… on time picking us up, pleasant, helpful, took pictures for us, & made a photo for each of us (5). We ate a later breakfast at 1030, per our request after the private guided tour of Teotihuacan by Eloy (who was incredibly knowledgeable). The pyramids were less crowded because we went before we ate breakfast. The restaurant was Rancho Aztec & the buffet was exceptional with a wide assortment of home made Mexican dishes as well as, eggs, soup, & Mexican sweet rolls. Amazing!
It was a great experience from the start. The communication before the tour was efficient and they picked us up at the hotel with an experienced driver and comfortable car (you want this if you’re waking up 4am for the ride).
When we got there it was a quick process to get to what mattered (the “globo”).
The balloon ride was great - and our pilot was clearly experienced. You could tell plenty of balloons going far from the location (“wrong air current” we were told) while we went smoothly to the archeological site with great views all around.
Our guide to the archeological site was really knowledgeable and nice (Sergio), we came out of it knowing a bit more of Mexico’s history. By the way, this is a good complement with a visit to the Anthropology Museum.
Finally, the restaurant was good and we were really not bothered by all the souvenirs’ peddlers.
So yeah, 5 stars.

Our tour guide was Eloy. Simply the best. Eloy is extremely knowledgeable and a beautiful human being.
Wonderful views of the pyramids! The balloon portion went really well. Just the right duration. It was very very cold the morning, but they sell sweaters, scarf, gloves etc there.
The guide at the pyramids after was really friendly and knowledgeable.
Hot air balloon ride is amazing, we are lucky that the crater has only 3 people so we are able to take alot of amazing pictures. Our guide Jeanie and driver EDmundo are friendly and transport is on time. The best thing about Jeanie is she is knowledgeable and hospitable. She gave us the option to choose whether to go shopping or head back. Overall i highly recommend.

This was the highlight of our Mexico City trip. Ginny and Carlos were amazing guides. Clear communication re pick up and what to expect from the tour. We visited the places as advertised/listed here. Very knowledgeable walking tour of Teotihuacan. We wanted to add Guadalupe your at extra $ and they were able to accommodate. It was a long day but we had a great time. Ginny helped take amazing photos of our group. I just wish we started earlier (pick up was at 5:30) so we could watch the sunrise while taking off since the sun was already up when we took off.
Unfortunately this tour was a bit disappointing. I do want to note that the air balloon part was amazing and highly recommend. However, I would leave it at that. Do not go with the extended tour as it was terrible. First you will go to a buffet breakfast which was not the best and probably caused us to be ill. After, you will go to the ruins and spend about an hour there. Of that hour, 40 mins are spent at the 3 stands that the tour guide takes you to to buy the tourist trap souvenirs. (I am not exaggerating on the time spent. At the last souvenir stand I even said “you’ve got to be kidding me “ to the tour guide and he got the hint to leave ASAP). There is barely any history given. After which you are taken to yet another tourist trap spot to buy alcohol / other random products. Overall, the day was tainted by the poor use of our time and lack of history given by Hermes (your guide). I would recommend doing just the hot air balloon as it was one of the best experiences.
This was our favorite part of our trip to Mexico City! Ginny and Alex were THE BEST tour guides— so energetic, genuine, and knowledgeable. Ginny went about and beyond by taking pictures for us, giving us suggestions of restaurants near where we were staying, and felt like a friend at the end of the trip! Highly recommend this trip and these tour guides! Make sure to wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty with sand and a jacket for the morning as it gets colder!
It was amazing! Highly recommended. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The ride over was safe, the breakfast included was really good too and with nice views to the pyramids. It gets really hot so take caps/hats and sunblock!

This experience was amazing! My husband and I booked this for our wedding anniversary and it was something we will never forget. The whole day went smoothly from start the finish. I would especially like to thank our guide Vladimir because he helped to make the day what it was.
Vladimir sent us a message on WhatsApp the day before to confirm pick up time and location. We were picked up at 5:30 exactly so no waiting around. We took an easy drive to the balloon point and we’re given coffee and cookies. We then went up in the hot air balloon for a 1 hr sunset ride which was amazing!
Then we were taking to a great breakfast at a local restaurant only a few minutes away. We then drove 1 minute over to the entrance of the pyramids. The tour of the pyramids was lovely. We learned so much and our guide Vladimir was very knowledgeable and upbeat.
After that we went to a small cave a few minutes away which was another great tour. Then we were taken back to our drop off point. Overall, it was an amazing stress free day and would definitely recommend this tour and our guide Vladimir!

The tour started with the bus driver getting lost, us being late and missing sunrise on the balloon. The balloon ride was great unbelievable. The pyramids where very interesting. The guide inter acted best with clients that could speak English. Often not answering our questions. But one other client was so helpful and explained loads to us.

FANTASTIC! A MUST DO WHILE IN MEXICO! Air Balloon was on my bucket list and this tour exceded my expectations. I went with my son for his 18 years old birthday celebration and we had a blast! Everything is super organized, they picked us up from our airbnb, then a super nice van ride to the site, hot tea and coffee with cookies were waiting for us while they prepared the balloons. There is a store that sell ponchos, which was very convenient as it was cold. The balloon ride was AWESOME!!! After that we went for lunch to a very nice restaurant with incredible view, and then we tour the pyramids. Our guide Vladimir was super nice, and fun and made the experience even better with all his knowledge and patience! I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to have a memorable experience.
This was a phenomenal tour from start to finish! Our guide Hermes was warm, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. Armando was our driver and was very accomodating and kind. The balloon ride was a one-of-a kind experience where we got to float in the early morning light toward Teotihuacan and the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon. Afterwards we had a delicious breakfast followed by a tour of a textile shop and then a detailed tour of theTeotihuacan ruins. We ended the day with a lunch in a restaurant that was in a cave which was really unique. All in all, an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend.!
