      Gabriel Pech was my guide and excellent. Fun to be with and very knowledgeable on art and history. In 2 hours we thoroughly toured the buildings surrounding the Central Plaza Grande including the cathedral, Governors Mansion (art amazing!) and oldest house. Went inside all three. Highly recommend this tour guide!! I was only in Merida for one day; wasn’t hungry for a food tour . This was the perfect way to spend an afternoon and know the details of what I was looking at! History of Merida and the artwork of Pacheco—amazing! FYI details said fruit included. I’m sure that would have happened if I asked, but Gabriel did but me a water. Also, he was so gracious in walking me to a place for lunch w excellent service and food and even got the menu for me and suggested what to order.

      Gabriel was very knowledgeable and patient. Explained in depth the meaning / historical context behind the sights in Merida, and offered recommendations for restaurants / other places to see etc. Had a blast !

      This was a wonderful, informative, and highly customized tour. Gabrielle texted the night before the tour to confirm our interests and timetable. He met us in the central plaza and shared the history of the region, and then took us to a restaurant to enjoy some local cuisine. Gabrielle was extremely knowledgeable on the Mayan and Spanish Colonial periods and recent demographic shifts and capital investments in the region.
