Avi was an exceptional guide! He arrived promptly to pick us up from our hotel and took the time to get to know us, which allowed him to customise the tour stops based on our interests. His extensive knowledge of Mauritius and the sites we visited made the entire experience even more engaging. We learned so much from him throughout the day, with interesting details about both the island and each stop we made. At every stop, we had plenty of time to explore, never feeling rushed. I highly recommend the Southwest tour, Mauritius' natural beauty is truly breathtaking. One highlight was the visit to the Chamarel Rum Distillery, where we learned about the rum-making process, sampled a wide variety of rums, and enjoyed a delicious meal. A big shout-out to Avi for making the day truly unforgettable! His passion for the island and attention to detail made all the difference. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or experience!

Places must be visited in Mauritius

Seeing the Alexandra and Chamarel Waterfalls, visiting the national Park, the volcano, having lunch in a restaurant where also Rum is produced, visiting the seven colours formation and the Shiva statue, the hindi sacred lake and Temple, the tea plantation and least the Lighthouse .

A Memorable Day

We were picked up at our hotel by our guide Avi who was so friendly and courteous. He had thought of everything, having cold water and snacks in his car ready for us. He explained the nature of his tour and tailored it to our needs.He was chatty and explained a lot of Mauritian history to us as we drove. We first visited a local street food cafe which we would not have found without his help; he ensured we were happy trying the food which was delicious. We visited Cashmere Polo club and following a tour around the factory, we then had opportunity to purchase. The tour included all the wonderful historical and beautiful natural sites of Mauritius, a model ship factory, a wonderfully amazing Hindu Temple, the largest in the country and Avi explained the meaning of the religious figures to us which was most fascinating. We had a really enjoyable lunch at and tour around a rum factory and was able to taste the rums made there. It was a nice touch that Avi joined us for lunch and made the tour experience more special. On the way back to our hotel, Avi even kindly dropped off at a supermarket to see if we could get some locally made Gin for us to try. Although unsuccessful, Avi, you will be happy to hear we did manage to get some at the Airport. We are so glad we chose this tour and we are pleased to call Avi our friend. We would gladly repay the favour if ever considered visiting Yorkshire. Thank you so much Avi for the photos too.

We had a wonderful experience with a knowlegeable guide, named Avi, that went above and beyond to make our trip a memorable one. He made sure that we are safe and comfortable and that we pack in one day all that Mauritius has to offer in regard of flavors, sightseeing places, local cuisine, lots of information and cultural experiences. We highly appreciated the good manners. In addition, he was a very good planner and contacted us a day before in order to arrange all details and adjunsted along the way. We strongly recommend him for tourists that want to have an unique Mauritian experience.

So many amazing places....

So many amazing places. Chamarel Water fall was very beautiful and the Black Gorge was jaw dropping. Lunch and rum tasting is something you cannot miss. Our guide, Avi, took us to a small village to have dholl puri and experience the family create the spilt pea pancakes filled with bean curry. Too many fabulous sites to mention. One of the best tours we have enjoyed on all all our travels. A night thank to ours guides and now our friend Avi.

Notre guide Avi à été parfait tout au long de notre journée. Il a su s'adapter à nos demandes, nos connaissances, nos goûts. Pas une seule fausse note. Des trajets en voiture confortable pour apprendre un peu d'histoire, et préparer les visites de lieux incontournables ou plus surprenants. A noter aussi un déjeuner a la rhumerie Chamarel digne des meilleurs hôtels Mauritiens !!!
