Highly recommended tour provider and guide! We had an absolutely fantastic day. Beautiful places and a super knowledgeable, friendly and open-minded guide. He made the whole tour experience even more enjoyable! If you are visiting South Mauritius and would like to learn more about the culture and nature, this is a must.

This was my second private trip, but not the best. The driver couldn’t find me on the road but that aside he didn’t seem to be that enthused in doing the trip and seemed more interested in financial gain. He moaned about the French tourists not tipping or not tipping much.
So first off he was into changing the trip itinerary because of the traffic later on and although I pointed out exactly what I’d paid for he said he wouldn’t be allowing the lunch trip and one of the beach drop offs.
So to ensure the trip went ahead I agreed and told him I’d take it up with Viator directly once the trip had ended, which I did.
First stop was the volcanic crater which really is a waste of time. There’s no viewing platform so you can barely see it (15 mins of walking around trying to get a decent photo).
Then a large Hindu temple with a park and lake. This was interesting and was brimming with Hindus and Macaques - the driver actually had to take me here.
We then visited a workshop that made wooden sailing ships to export and sell in their shop. Very detailed models and interesting process but hard selling from the staff.
The rest of the trip was in the National Park, and this was beautiful. First viewing platform showed the vastness of the park and the animals, particularly the White Tailed Tropicbird which was in abundance there.
Lastly a trip to the Seven Coloured Earth site which included another large viewing point of waterfalls which was impressive. The coloured earth attraction was excellent, large path right around it and included a bee hive section, a tortoise sanctuary, and a café plus toilets. I loved this and had about an hour or so to get round it all.
After this I just wanted to get back.
I did tip the driver but not sure he deserved it.
I have since been agreed a partial refund of 1/3 of the price because of not visiting 2 sites and lunch which I’d paid for.
Apart from the driver it was quite an enjoyable trip.
I’d rather have been with a group though, I do enjoy meeting new people.

An exceptional experience. Shrish, my driver/guide, was super knowledgeable and possessed exceptional customer service skills. He provided not only an informative history of the sites visited but also insight into life in Mauritius in general. Highly recoomend!

We had a lovely day out and about in Mauritius. We only had a day in Mauritius so chose a tour that gave us a little taste.
The tour operators were responsive to our enquires and our guide met us on time at the port. Our driver and guide for the day Maz communicated well, was a great driver and transported us around in a clean and comfortable car. He was generous with his knowledge, happy to answer our questions on a range of topics.
We visited the temple, climbed a load of steps to get some pics then on to the multicoloured earth, both venues were busy and amenities scarce. On the way we were asked if we would like to visit shop - mistake on our part- it was pitched at tourist which was incredibly expensive so I would advise anyone to skip that bit. We later visited the beautiful waterfalls and bought some small gifts ( at reasonable prices).
Lunch was wonderful, the location just stunning.
All in all we had a lovely day.

This was a wonderful trip to see parts of the island that I would not have seen otherwise on my cruise. I traveled as a solo female and felt very safe with my tour guide. We were ahead of schedule for lunch so he took me to see an additional waterfall. He explained the local sites and we enjoyed lunch with local cuisine and a spectacular view before he brought me back to my hotel. I was picked up from the airport and only had to wait a few minutes before he arrived to begin the tour. I would recommend this tour to someone who has the day free and would like to see parts of the island and that would also appreciate having transportation from airport to a hotel.

Can be very hot and humid. There are some stairs and uneven ground to walk. Scenery is breathtaking......
The seven colored earth is beautiful, best seen in bright sunshine 🌞 our stop at the restaurant had not only good food, it also had the view to match.

It was my first tour of Mauritius after arriving. It sounded like a good way to see different parts of the southern part of the island. Driver was knowledgeable and chatty. The distance felt long so spent all day in the car. Personally I would have liked to do an activity or something so it doesn’t become like rushing from one destination to another.
In general I find it hard to find a group tour to join here on the island so I had to choose a day trip what suited solo travel.
On the whole I would rate this as a boring day, stuck in a car but I did get to see beautiful parts of this country and the driver was very flexible so I could have suggested other things if I wanted to

Our driver, Hughes, was the best! He provided us a lot of information about the island and the points of interest. He even took us to a few places not on the itinerary that were wonderful.
The lunch was great, both the location and the food.
We highly recommend this excursion and as for Hughes, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent tour conducted by Robin. Took us all over the island. Many items he pointed out were of great interest to us. We enjoyed all the natural beauty of the island. The lunch was amazing as we looked out onto the scenic tropical forest.

Escursione ben organizzata, mi sono trovata ad essere da sola pensavo di trovarmi in gruppo. Ho visitato luoghi meravigliosi, le cascate , la terra dei sette colori.La guida e' stata molto disponibile e attenta . Unica pecca gli ingressi alla fabbrica del cashmere e al negozio di modellini di navi potrebbero essere opzionali. Tanto si concretizzano in spiegazioni molto veloci e in tentativi insistenti da parte dei commessi di venderti articoli e souvenir a prezzi eccessivi
