Wow !!! Exhilarating !! Yiddish was our guide and the knowledge he has of the area is amazing. A true cultural experience. The scramble is tough so make sure you’re physically able and be confident. Our guide took his time and we all made it without incident. The views at the top are worth it.

Amazing experience hiking with Rowin on a Sunday morning. Unfortunately, the top section is currently closed and safety first! We met other hikers who headed up anyway but Rowin brought us to another lookout instead which more than made up for the disappointment of not being able to go to the top. An amazing option as we had the place to ourselves. The loop around the mountain was definitely a great option, and we were given history of the place etc, and we stopped at another lookout with views to the underwater waterfall as well. Highly recommended!

This hike was tough! Thankfully I wore the proper clothes and shoes! Yes, proper shoes are super important! Mat (Mathieu) our guide had to hurry us up a little because rain was coming. Our little group bonded pretty good because we all shared this mission. Unfortunately my wife, who has bad knees and takes heart medication, wasn’t able to get to the top, which the rest of us made it in 2 hours. Since it had been raining, some parts of the path got muddy and slippery. Did I mention that having proper hiking/trail-running shoes is super important? I saw people wearing loafers or fashion sneakers and they were having a tough time. A little more than halfway up, the trail gets really steep and vertical and you’re literally climbing rocks and looking for small ledges to get a hand and/or foothold. Once you get to the cross though, and if it’s sunny, you get an amazing view! You can even see the underwater waterfalls. We only stayed about 15-20 minutes because rain was coming. Our guide Mat kept a close watch on it. As we headed down, rain and clouds were upon us and we rushed down as quickly and safely as we could. Surprisingly, going down was easier than going up. Mat was great in that he made sure we were all safe and we used the proper steps and footholds. We made it down from the top in about an hour.
Overall, the hike was really tough and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights, but the reward (the view) was well worth it. I’d highly suggest getting a local guide. And again, I can’t stress how important having good hiking/trail-running shoes is! Mat is great! We had some laughs and good conversation while hiking. His English is very good and he’s very knowledgeable. Highly recommend him!

This was a great experience. The whether was great, Yudish was a great guide, the views were stunning and it felt great having climbed the mountain. I would highly recommend doing this climb with a guide. While the track itself is pretty clear, in a few sections it isn’t a straight word walk/climb. Yudish was there to support and guide people through these sections which gave the members of our small group a lot of confidence. It’s a challenge but definitely a special and rewarding one.

We did this guided hike with fantastic Fred as part of our honeymoon! We love hiking and his is one of the best trips we've ever done. It certainly requires at least moderate fitness for the steep ascent, but the views are the top are the best on the island. Thank you Fred for an amazing day.

Our guide Gilles was outstanding. So knowledgeable about the area and gave us lots of guidance on climbing safely. It got a bit scary as you scale a rockface for part of it but he was so reassuring and helpful that we all made it to the top. The views were amazing and worth it!

Yudish was a very welcoming and helpful guide. The hike was very enjoyable and the sights were spectacular once you got to the top. So glad i brought my hiking shoes with me as the grip was needed. There is a bit of scrambling to be had as you get to the upper half of the mountain but our guide Yudish was very patient and helpful in his regard.

This was the highlight of our time in Mauritius. We were so glad we booked it with Yanature. We had two guides with a group of 19. Both guides were amazing, they were so patient with members of the group who were struggling and they helped guide us up the safest routes. We definitely couldn’t have done the hike without a guide. Some sections require you to climb on all fours up the rocks and then crawl down on your bum. There were people of varying ages and fitness levels within the group so it is definitely doable for most people. We did the 5.50am tour on a Sunday and there was a lot of people walking up as we were walking down so I’m glad we started early. The tour was very organised. We left the meeting point promptly, we had our own car so followed the group to the starting point for the walk. The whole walk took approx 4.5 hours in total and we returned back to where our car was parked. Thank you to our guides! Would highly recommend this!

A must do Hike in the island, the experience was great and the guide Fabrice is very knowledgable and friendly guy. We couldn’t reach the top of the mountain due to the rain, but the level that we have reached is good enough.

Our guide Fabrice was very knowledgable about everything. Was very enthusiastic and thoughtful of the groups capabilites for what is a very challenging climb at points. He would give step by step instructions where to put feet and hands.
Plenty of stops going up the mountain so it wasn't full on.
Overall would definitely recommend Fabrice for this tour.
Not for the faint hearted though as there is some very hair raising moments!

Wow! Hiking Le Morne Brabant was one of the best experiences of our lives. To start, our guide Johnathan, was absolutely incredible. He picked us up from our hotel (which was right down the road from Le Morne) and he had a great sense of humor. This was perfect for us! My wife was a slow mover up the mountain and he was so patient and encouraging. When we got to the top, the views were breathtaking! The sights were so worth the struggle getting to the top! Coming down was also challenging but Johnathan was also very patient and showed us the best methods for getting down safely. I recommend this hike to anyone visiting Mauritius!

Brilliant tour with Fabrice hiking Le Morne Brabant.
Having read reviews, we booked the hike, although unfortunately was not the best weather, foggy and drizzling which made it slippery and unsafe for climbing to the top.
We felt the hike is more for advanced hikers. We are fit and healthy 30yr olds and felt it was for more advanced hikers.
