The guide was lovely and very informative. The food was a delight and surprisingly good. I’m just not sure about the timing. It was a very hot tour and moved quickly. An evening tour would be better but I understand that there may not be the variety of food that we ate.

Quite an average food tour - didn’t get much in the way of information about the city - took us to a very unhygienic biryani joint at the end to boot - costs way too much relative to the quality of what’s served

Christopher’s providing the cultural context at the start set us up very well to the food we ate along the way. Our only regret was that there was so much of food, all of it so delicious, we could not do justice to it!

Easy to book. Start location easy to find. Great tour by Christopher who had the perfect balance of culture and food tasting. Interesting and Enjoyable

There were just the two of us on this tour which was great as my husband wasn’t feeling so well. Christopher happily adapted his tour so that we did not have to walk too far. The absolute best part, however, was that Christopher is so knowledgeable and passionate about Mauritian food, culture, history and society that he could tell us not only about how food informed Mauritian life through the years, but also about life in Mauritius. Thank you Christopher!

Absolutely fabulous!! Our tour guide Christopher was knowledgeable in both the history and culture of Mauritius. Wear comfortable shoes and come with an empty stomach! All the food was super YUMMY. I would recommend
