This was by far the best surf lesson I've had, and I've been taking lessons regularly for the past couple of months. Calvin provided detailed instructions and feedback that really helped me improve my technique. I learned a ton! I would definitely recommend him if you are taking your first lesson and just trying to catch a wave while on vacation. And if you are looking to improve your skills, Calvin is your person.

Such a great experience! Highly recommend. We booked this for my son for his 18th birthday. He was able to get up and ride multiple waves right away with zero previous experience. Just amazing. We also requested flexibility for illness earlier in the week and there was no issue. Mahalo!

Calvin is a Maui legend!!! He had our 7 and -0 year old up on the first try! We had as much fun watching all the action as our kids did catching the waves! Calvin is a wonderful local with great recommendations, we are so glad we met Calvin at the beginning of our trip. Don’t go to Maui with out booking surf lessons with Calvin!

Highly recommend! We set up a surf lesson with Clint for our 14 year-old granddaughter who was dying to learn. It did not disappoint! Clint was so great with our granddaughter, taking time to teach her all she needed to know before getting in the water. She got up on the board the first time! Clint was knowledgeable, thorough and super patient and encouraging.

Our instructor was great and the location was beautiful! Only thing to note is the bottom is a bit more rocky than sandy but the instructor made us feel safe and was super knowledgeable. We got up multiple times to ride the waves!

Coach is great. Very experienced and patient. He’s easygoing and knowledgeable. Easy to communicate with. I have to move my scheduled lesson to different slots due to flight cancellation and he agreed with it no problem. Highly recommend

Calvin is a very knowledgeable instructor and he clearly wants you to succeed. He helped us get up on our first try and we quickly were able to catch them ourselves. I really recommend getting a lesson here, you will have a memorable experience and fall in love with surfing!!

We signed our two kids up for lessons with Calvin. We have a 10 year old girl and 9 year old boy. Calvin was so sweet and patient with our kids. He came very prepared and made them very comfortable. He was able to get both kids to stand up right away too. We will definitely be doing this again.

Calvin was kind, helpful, and patient. Clear communication and definitely recommend. I had two kids, ages 11 and 15 and he gave them the confidence and coaching to do it! Both got up during the lesson!

Calvin was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and ensured that we didn't get hurt. He even allowed time for my husband and I to take turns so we could squeeze in some videos and pictures. Would definitley do it again. Choose Calvin for sure if you want to learn how to surf. I got up on the first try!

Really great experience doing this surfing lesson and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling and looking for a fun activity to do. Amazing instruction and I had a blast surfing different waves. My husband and I are on our honeymoon and we had a private lesson with Calvin. We liked how he was quick to fixing our mistakes and always checked on us to make sure we were good! We both got up on our first try and I got the hang of it fast, so he took me back farther for longer rides. He knows the locations well, so if he changes location or start time, just trust him!
On another note, it’s a private lesson, so don’t expect a photo-op. This experience is focused on learning to surf and having fun!

My three kids had a GREAT time during their surfing lesson. It was the first time surfing for all three of them, and their instructor was so nice and patient with each of them. He got all three up and surfing the waves multiple times during the lesson. They came out of the lesson smiling and wanting to book with him again. I was worried about how the lesson would go, since my kids are 12, 14, and 17. But it wasn’t five minutes into the lesson with their instructor, and I knew it was going to be an unforgettable experience for them.

The lesson was great, it was our first time surfing and Kei was very clear and patient with us . He explained us all the basics and when we were in the water safety was his #1 priority . We were able to ride waves at the end of the lesson because of Kei’s instruction ! Highly recommend

Kei was a fantastic instructor and my 8 year old daughter and niece had a great time! The water was very calm and though they had to paddle a fair way to get to the break, Kei towed them with his foot so they wouldn’t get too tired. They both stood up immediately and nearly every time after that and their smiles were priceless. Thank you Kei!

Host/instructor had great communication from start to finish. Leo had my 7 year old son up and surfing in only a couple waves! Instructor assured me he would stay close with my son at all times and put safety above all things. This put me at ease from the start. We both had never surfed before, by the end of the session we felt like pros. Don’t do the group sessions. Get the personal guidance from a private session.

Surfing experience was awesome for just my girlfriend and I. About three waves in, we were able to fully ride our own waves. Kei, is an awesome instructor. We did safety drills and board handling before we went out to the water. Once on the water, Kei, would assist us until we were good on our own. Shoes and rash guards were provided. Would highly recommend for people who are looking to learn how to surf for the first time.
Bonus for spotting a turtle popping up next to me on the board.
