Amazing from start to finish. Felt well looked after by our driver. Refreshments and breakfast were very good. The balloon ride was fantastic. Felt very safe in the hands of our pilot who was really friendly. Overall great value for money and an unforgettable experience.

This will be a day to remember. The baloon ride was unforgettable and we were very lucky with a great morning wearher. The breakfast afterwards was fantastic. There has been many others participating in this experience, from different countries, different cultures. But to sit together under the same tent and share breakfast and was quite humbling and beautiful. The camel ride was a great experience as well. I would recommend!

Itinerary

Rise early and leave your Marrakech hotel by 4x4 with your guide. Relax inside the air-conditioned vehicle as you travel to the launch site in time for your balloon ride.

On arrival, boost your energy with pastries, tea, and coffee and look on as your experienced crew prepares your balloon. Climb into the spacious basket for takeoff. Each basket accommodates up to 16 people, and there’s ample room for you to sightsee comfortably as you fly.

Thrill as your balloon rises into the skies and ogle the aerial views of the desert as you float through the air. Take photos of the rocky valleys and peaks as your pilot steers your balloon over the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.

Touch down safely back to ground then, take a seat in a tent overlooking the mountains and savor a delicious breakfast of Berber staples such as cornbread, pancakes, olives, fresh fruit, and mint tea.

Having enjoyed breakfast, take a camel ride around the sandy lanes of the Palmeraie desert complex next to the camp.

I was never communicated about pick up time, so I was assuming it was at 6 AM. Pick up the provider. Texted me that morning at 4:50 say it was too late, so I missed my experience and you guys don’t wanna refund me. I ended a pain $120 more to the provider cash. Worst experience of my life.

Our Atlas Mountains hot air balloon ride was a bucket-list dream come to life. Floating peacefully above the desert at sunrise with the Atlas Mountains glowing in the early light, amongst 50 other balloons, was pure serenity and awe. Logistics note: our pickup was moved from 6am to 4am the day before, and the multi-stop collection of other attendees made for a long early start with our arrival to a desert camp close to 6:30am. Thankfully, warm fires, coffee, juice and pastries at the desert launch site made the wait still feel magical in the chilly February air. After an unforgettable 45-minute flight, we enjoyed a traditional Berber breakfast with fresh breads, eggs, and mint tea, followed by a short camel ride. Fun for a first-timer, though if you’re planning a longer Sahara camel trek elsewhere, you could safely skip the camel portion. All in all, an incredible sunrise experience and absolutely worth the early wake-up. From door to door, about 4am–12:30pm — and memories to last a lifetime.

The flight was fun though the people running the event were not helpful communicating what to do. They never explained our need to find our initial driver after the pre-flight snack and they left us sitting in our van for an hour with no explanation about why it took so long before our balloon took off. Also no where does it say that you have to be able to climb in and out of a very tall balloon basket. It is nice that you can be picked up and dropped off at your hotel.

Be prepared to get up early. Although the time states 6am, this is the time you arrive at the initial stop for pastries coffee or juice. Be prepared to get picked up from hotel about 430am. Wonderful time. Very enjoyable 45 minutes. Camel rides and breakfast was great as wel. Highly recommend

It was a great way to start our day! The hot air balloon ride was amazing and so smooth. Breakfast was nice and the camels were very chill—so good for someone’s first time. I might recommend bringing water, and the only thing to critique was the change in our pickup time. They let us know the evening before that instead of 6:00am, our pickup was 4:30am and there was a fair bit of waiting once we got to the camp before we took off for the balloons, which left us wondering why the drastic change in pickup time. Even considering this, the balloon ride made it totally worth it! Would definitely recommend to friends who visit Marrakech.

Up and down; literally! Tour guides (drivers) spend more time talking and trying to figure out who they want to drive versus doing anything else. Once getting to the sites, the balloon ride itself is amazing. However, this is where the wheels fell off. We were then switched to different vehicles based on who was going to do the camel riding and who was going back. We were stuck with a group of people who were literally high on illicit drugs and drunk. How could the driver allow them in the vehicle?? They were passed out on my wife the entire time. Literally pushing them off non stop. The driver constantly had to find them because they were no where to be found. We were so late. Awful people and experience. Viator refused to do anything and the tour company refused to assist. Only concern was that everyone paid. We weren’t dropped off at the location but someplace close to our Riad and simply pointed ik the right direction! Bad experience.

I was completely blown away by this hot air balloon trip with Marrakech by Air! The pickup was on-time and the drive out to the camp was good. We waited around quite a while in the dark at the camp, but they had pastries and hot drinks and fires lit for light and warmth. We then got back in the vans and drove out to where they were inflating the balloons. The wind came up a little, so they decided to deflate the balloons and wait to see. But about 45 minutes later they said it was a Go, and we were able to get in the basket and take off. I appreciated the precaution of the company to keep our safety in mind, and was so glad the trip got to go. I would recommend this company for anyone coming to Morocco. Do this balloon flight, you won't be sorry!

This trip was the highlight of our time in Marrakech. Yannis our 19 year old pilot was amazing. When we arrived the wind was up & it was foggy so unfortunately we missed the sunrise as we had to wait for the wind to ease before we took off. Nonetheless it was a spectacular experience. Breakfast afterwards was plentiful and tasty and the mini camel ride was great too. There was a lot of chopping & changing in relation to busses etc but if you just go with the flow it all works out. It's very cold in the morning so wrap up well. Truly worth every penny. Unmissable!

Roughly an hour drive out of Marakesh. I would recommend to dress warm, traditional Moroccan breakfast was really great. The balloon ride itself was about 30 minutes and the views were incredible. Reda was our pilot and it was very informative and made the experience very fun and lively. The camel ride was far less exciting but still a unique fun experience. Would recommend!

An amazing experience. Hot air balloons take time to set up, so this tour does their best to accommodate with refreshments and a heated fire. The flight itself was gorgeous. The pilot was very personable and hospitable to everyone in the balloon. The driver to and from the site was very nice too.

Don’t overlook this activity! You’re most likely going to have a fantastic time!

This was an AMAZING experience. Our pilot Noor was literally the best. Very friendly, polite, played great music, and really made this experience enjoyable. She was very professional, and even took the time to take everyone’s photos. The setup for this was executed extremely well because when you first arrived they had snacks and coffee/hot chocolate for everyone. After the balloon ride we came back to a really nice Berber breakfast. The hospitality and customer service was overall a 10/10 and would highly recommend for travelers to book with this company.

Very early start (4.50 pick up)! Wear lots of layers as it was very cold and a lot of hanging around (2 hours while they were sorting balloons out due to weather) not much information given as to what was happening, excellent pastries The actual balloon ride was awesome and our pilot, Sancho, was excellent. He was very focused on safety without compromising the experience The breakfast after was very good with a large selection and plenty of food Would recommend but be prepared for an early start, hanging around and getting cold

The flight is magical and our captain Noor was lovely, but the time leading up to it is chaotic as others have said. Take note of the car you arrived in! You will get out and then need to find it again in the dark. There are 30-60 minutes of just standing around in the pre-dawn cold/dark where there's OJ and instant coffee that could easily be deleted and would actually make the whole experience much better. My partner wanted to pet a camel so the short camel ride was exactly what we wanted if nothing to write home about.
