Rise early and leave your Marrakech hotel by 4x4 with your guide. Relax inside the air-conditioned vehicle as you travel to the launch site in time for your balloon ride.
On arrival, boost your energy with pastries, tea, and coffee and look on as your experienced crew prepares your balloon. Climb into the spacious basket for takeoff. Each basket accommodates up to 16 people, and there’s ample room for you to sightsee comfortably as you fly.
Thrill as your balloon rises into the skies and ogle the aerial views of the desert as you float through the air. Take photos of the rocky valleys and peaks as your pilot steers your balloon over the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.

Our Atlas Mountains hot air balloon ride was a bucket-list dream come to life. Floating peacefully above the desert at sunrise with the Atlas Mountains glowing in the early light, amongst 50 other balloons, was pure serenity and awe.
Logistics note: our pickup was moved from 6am to 4am the day before, and the multi-stop collection of other attendees made for a long early start with our arrival to a desert camp close to 6:30am. Thankfully, warm fires, coffee, juice and pastries at the desert launch site made the wait still feel magical in the chilly February air.
After an unforgettable 45-minute flight, we enjoyed a traditional Berber breakfast with fresh breads, eggs, and mint tea, followed by a short camel ride. Fun for a first-timer, though if you’re planning a longer Sahara camel trek elsewhere, you could safely skip the camel portion.
All in all, an incredible sunrise experience and absolutely worth the early wake-up. From door to door, about 4am–12:30pm — and memories to last a lifetime.

So much fun! The sunrise hot air balloon ride was stunning. Worth getting up pre-dawn for. The most memorable part of our Marrakesh visit. Our pilot was so professional, had a great music playlist and she even took photos of each group. We loved seeing the traditional breakfast (though enjoyed eating the croissants more).
The camel ride was short (which was good, we just wanted to try it) and the young man leading the camels was so gentle with them and took some fantastic photos for us.

We booked the hot air balloon tour and the camel ride. The balloon ride is really cool and well organized. You’re picked up at your accommodation and taken to the launch site. There, you start with breakfast, and then you’re taken to the area where the staff are preparing the balloons.
The tour then continues to the camels. You really shouldn’t book this ride. It was terrible. Visitors are given a blue jumpsuit to wear and are then allowed to take a seat on the camels. The camels are not treated kindly and are tied up very close together. As soon as one camel moves, the others are dragged along.

An absolutely unbelievable experience. It was everything I imagined, and honestly even better. Completely worth the 4:00 a.m. wake-up call.
The hot air balloon ride over the Atlas Mountains at sunrise was pure magic. Watching the sun come up from the balloon was one of those moments you don’t forget. The entire experience felt well organized, special, and worth every minute.
The fire pits in the early morning waiting area were a great touch and definitely appreciated with the chilly start. My only suggestion would be to add a bit more lighting near the coffee and breakfast area, since it was still dark and a little hard to see what I was eating or pouring.
The camel ride afterward was so much fun, and the guides were fantastic. They were helpful, friendly, and took some amazing photos and videos for our group, which made the experience even better.
Breakfast was delicious as well. My only small note would be that I would have loved a few more protein options.
Overall, an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of my trip. Highly recommend.

10/10 experience from start to finish. my only downside was that the pilot refused to fly high because there were children in the basket with us. they were not freaking out or scared at all. this was a let down since i feel we did not get the experience that i hoped for. otherwise it was good.

Make sure you know your pick up time. Start time and pick up time are different since you have to be driven to the balloon site. Worth the money and time. Professional team. Would do it again.

The hot air balloon ride was spectacular! Elena our pilot was the best!
The camel ride is not worth it because of the location. There are other tours that you get to do the camel ride in better locations.
The breakfast was ok.
After this experience, I would say just book the balloon ride by itself!

We got a whattsapp message to confirm pick up the night before. It was a bit confusing what to do at the first refreshment stop because we didn’t get any instructions from the driver
The balloon ride was amazing. It’s so fast when people are loaded that our family of five were split across 2 sections of the basket. It would have been better if we’d been together. We ended up squished in the centre so missed the most dramatic views at the basket corners

The adventure started pre-dawn with a 5:10 am pick-up (a WhatsApp message the evening before confirms pickup time & place.) (Unfortunately, the next group to be picked up was very late, which was annoying in the dark & cold morning, and is a factor in group trips, but somehow didn't seem to disrupt the schedule too much.) With the drive and a stop for croissants & coffee, the sun was just starting to peek out as we arrived at the field of hot air balloons. Our driver located our basket and we climbed in and in a few minutes, were airborne. What a beautiful view!! The sun was rising, the sky was clear and it was warmer than on the ground. Our pilot gave us a mini-lesson on how air balloons work. And then we gently returned to the ground. It was a great ride!
We had a delicious & filling breakfast with mint tea, Moroccan pastries & eggs.
The camel ride was ok - like a ride at the state fair - and maybe enough (who knows if I'd really be up for a long camel ride) and a fun photo!
This was one of those vacation-list things to do - and it was a fun choice.
A tip for attire - bring a jacket/sweater, its actually pretty cold in the morning.

This is absolutely a must do in Marrakech!! The whole experience was amazing. The balloon ride was breathtaking. The whole excursion was incredible from the hotel pickup and drop off to the authentic breakfast shared with my new friends. Definitely do this!!

We had a truly wonderful hot air balloon experience, and what stood out most was the kindness and professionalism of the team from start to finish.
We unfortunately got delayed in the morning due to an ATM issue at our hotel and arrived about 20 minutes late. We were quite stressed about it, but the driver and fellow passengers were incredibly understanding and didn’t make us feel uncomfortable at all which set a really positive tone for the rest of the day.
Once we arrived, we were welcomed with coffee before heading to the launch site. The setup was well organized, with multiple balloons and baskets (each divided into compartments that comfortably fit around 4–5 adults). The whole process felt safe and smooth.
Our pilot was fantastic; funny, engaging, and very knowledgeable. He explained everything clearly, took photos for us, and made the entire flight enjoyable and relaxed. It never felt rushed, and you could tell they genuinely care about giving people a great experience.
After the flight, we were given certificates, which was a nice touch. The experience continued with a delicious breakfast, followed by a short camel ride, which added to the overall charm of the day.
Most importantly, our child had an amazing time, and for us, that made it even more special. It’s something we’ll definitely remember for a long time.
Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a well organised, warm, and memorable experience.

I was never communicated about pick up time, so I was assuming it was at 6 AM. Pick up the provider. Texted me that morning at 4:50 say it was too late, so I missed my experience and you guys don’t wanna refund me. I ended a pain $120 more to the provider cash. Worst experience of my life.

The flight was fun though the people running the event were not helpful communicating what to do. They never explained our need to find our initial driver after the pre-flight snack and they left us sitting in our van for an hour with no explanation about why it took so long before our balloon took off. Also no where does it say that you have to be able to climb in and out of a very tall balloon basket. It is nice that you can be picked up and dropped off at your hotel.

Be prepared to get up early. Although the time states 6am, this is the time you arrive at the initial stop for pastries coffee or juice.
Be prepared to get picked up from hotel about 430am.
Wonderful time. Very enjoyable 45 minutes.
Camel rides and breakfast was great as wel.

It was a great way to start our day! The hot air balloon ride was amazing and so smooth. Breakfast was nice and the camels were very chill—so good for someone’s first time. I might recommend bringing water, and the only thing to critique was the change in our pickup time. They let us know the evening before that instead of 6:00am, our pickup was 4:30am and there was a fair bit of waiting once we got to the camp before we took off for the balloons, which left us wondering why the drastic change in pickup time. Even considering this, the balloon ride made it totally worth it! Would definitely recommend to friends who visit Marrakech.

Up and down; literally! Tour guides (drivers) spend more time talking and trying to figure out who they want to drive versus doing anything else. Once getting to the sites, the balloon ride itself is amazing. However, this is where the wheels fell off. We were then switched to different vehicles based on who was going to do the camel riding and who was going back. We were stuck with a group of people who were literally high on illicit drugs and drunk. How could the driver allow them in the vehicle?? They were passed out on my wife the entire time. Literally pushing them off non stop. The driver constantly had to find them because they were no where to be found. We were so late. Awful people and experience. Viator refused to do anything and the tour company refused to assist. Only concern was that everyone paid. We weren’t dropped off at the location but someplace close to our Riad and simply pointed ik the right direction! Bad experience.

I was completely blown away by this hot air balloon trip with Marrakech by Air! The pickup was on-time and the drive out to the camp was good. We waited around quite a while in the dark at the camp, but they had pastries and hot drinks and fires lit for light and warmth. We then got back in the vans and drove out to where they were inflating the balloons. The wind came up a little, so they decided to deflate the balloons and wait to see. But about 45 minutes later they said it was a Go, and we were able to get in the basket and take off. I appreciated the precaution of the company to keep our safety in mind, and was so glad the trip got to go. I would recommend this company for anyone coming to Morocco. Do this balloon flight, you won't be sorry!

This will be a day to remember. The baloon ride was unforgettable and we were very lucky with a great morning wearher. The breakfast afterwards was fantastic. There has been many others participating in this experience, from different countries, different cultures. But to sit together under the same tent and share breakfast and was quite humbling and beautiful.
The camel ride was a great experience as well. I would recommend!

This trip was the highlight of our time in Marrakech. Yannis our 19 year old pilot was amazing. When we arrived the wind was up & it was foggy so unfortunately we missed the sunrise as we had to wait for the wind to ease before we took off. Nonetheless it was a spectacular experience. Breakfast afterwards was plentiful and tasty and the mini camel ride was great too. There was a lot of chopping & changing in relation to busses etc but if you just go with the flow it all works out. It's very cold in the morning so wrap up well. Truly worth every penny. Unmissable!

Roughly an hour drive out of Marakesh. I would recommend to dress warm, traditional Moroccan breakfast was really great. The balloon ride itself was about 30 minutes and the views were incredible. Reda was our pilot and it was very informative and made the experience very fun and lively. The camel ride was far less exciting but still a unique fun experience. Would recommend!
