This was an amazing tour in Malta. It was very informative and memorable! Mark was incredibly helpful and even went out of his way to find us when we got a little lost. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting. It was well worth it! The boat ride was definitely the highlight, hands down the best €10 we spent.

The guide was exactly where he said he would be at the time he said he would be there. It is extremely busy on the streets there near the port. Going to the Blue Grotto and the boat was great! We also went to the old city and saw St Paul's church which is beautiful. It would have been nice to stay a little longer there. We did two stops for 10 minutes to take pictures and it wasn't that easy getting in and out of van for such a short time. The speaker system in the van was not so great because we were in the back of the van and could not really hear him. He dropped people of in Valetta to see st. Johns church. When they arrived, the church was closed. I guess we should have looked it up because they were dropped off 45 minutes after it was closed.

It was a very good experience. The views were amazing. Our guide, Mark, was very polite, friendly, and very clear with his explanations for those who wanted to stay in the city and walk back to the ship later, instead of being dropped off by him. Unfortunately, we couldn't do the boat ride because of the weather, but the experience was still worth it.

Great ride and informative videos on the way. Perfect timing to get to the boats. Make sure to bring cash for grotto boats. The cliffs were great. We stayed on in Mdina and took a bolt back with was only a few euros. Definitely great recommendations from guide. Thanks !!

I loved the Blue Grotto, even if the sea was too choppy for a boat visit, and the lovely Mdina. The guide was excellent. He was an excellent driver and spoke English perfectly. He was knowledgeable about present day Malta as well as the history which was presented in a very interesting way. I appreciated his tips for an afternoon in Valletta.

Mark truly cares about his customers and about Malta! We truly enjoyed our half day tour, in a very comfortable vehicle, seeing all of the highlights we wanted to see in Malta. Malta is a fascinating country, and this is an excellent way to learn and see more in a short period of time. Tour guide showed up 20 minutes late! Very stressful for all the people involved. Blue grotto was amazing but the rest of the tour was shortened because of his tardiness

The blue grotto was excellent as was the swim afterward. Would have preferred just to stay there and enjoy the half day. Mdina was interesting but hot and cliffs were meh.

Tour was great. Chris was exceptional!! The driver knew his way around town and was very knowkegable to the history and current events of Malta. Pleasant, helpful and overly accommodating (we had an issue that needed some extra help and Chris was amazingly at our service!!). Blue Grotto is an absolute must see!!

Blue grotto!

The blue grotto was beautiful and worth the trip. However I was promised time to swim that I didn’t get. There were 17 people in a 16 person min-van with the a/c not adequate. We were all sweating. A positive is we got a free guide in Olympia and she was excellent. The communication system couldn’t be heard by half the van and by most when we were walking. They didn’t tell us when to come back even though the driver argued with me that they did. We had to pay separately to get the boat to the caves. It should be included.

You had 45 minutes in blue grotto and you spend them how you want, others from your van where swimming. Our Vans carry 19 passengers and the driver, So I believe there was enough seats for everyone. Our vans AC system works well, did you consider that the temperature was 37 Celsius, 98.6 Fahrenheit, trips are short, big doors always opens the AC needs time to replace cool air again. We always tell our passengers how long they can stay in each place, actually the others where on time. We don't include the price of the boat ride because some times the trips will be cancel because of the high winds, and in that case the passengers will loose a €10 admission as well. Thanks for showing appreciation for the free guide.

Malta tour

Had a great tour with Chris as our guide. He told the passengers information about the area during driving time, and we explored the locations on our own. Blue grotto is beautiful (additional 10 euros pp/cash). Be sure to walk through the small old lookout building located close to the restrooms. Mdina was the next stop and it was interesting. Lastly we had the option to be dropped off at Valletta (instead of the cruise port). It was a good way to see the island since our time in port was on the shorter side.

Not a tour--more like a glorified taxi ride

I thought at first that this would be a great "tour" of Malta, taking us to all the highlights. The driver did provide some commentary. However, it is NOT a guided tour of Malta. The driver tells you a little bit about each location and mainly just drives you there. Your time in Mdina and Valletta is on your own. You have to pay for a boat ride (10 euros) at the Blue Grotto which they did mention in their listing. And the Dingli cliffs was just a quick picture spot. The driver was nice and extended our time at the other sites. He also gave us the option of being dropped off either at the cruise port or in Valletta where we could explore that more.

Morning in Malta

Mark was very knowledgeable and very good company and the tour was great. A few things to know: the meeting point is near the taxi stand at the Valleta port, which is only a very short walk if your ship is docked there. Private tour vehicles are not allowed to wait there, so the driver has to be sure that everyone is there before he pulls up. He is very reachable by Whatsapp, so we knew he was on his way. Secondly, the ticket for the Blue Grotto boat ride is not included in the price because the boat rides are EXTREMELY weather dependent. They are 8-seater open boats that take you to a number of caves and the addition 10€ price is totally worth it if the boats are running, but they are not guaranteed to be running. We were able to go, but they were not available in the afternoon due to high winds. It was a really enjoyable morning in Malta!

A great way to experience Malta

We spent the afternoon in Malta and loved everything about it. As did my kids, 14 and 16, and mother in law! We did this tour and it was perfect. It was an easy way to explore and very low key. They pick you up at the top of the cruise port (sent us pictures so we knew where to go and what signs to look for). They were very organized and took us on a 15 person bus, small and comfortable. They take you to a few look-out points for pictures, then on to Blue Lagoon where we went on a boat, 10euro cash per person (highly recommend!), and then to cliffs for more pictures and exploring, then to Mdina where you can walk around or take a horse carriage tour, easy walking here. We then went on to Valletta and opted to stop our tour here as it is very walkable, including great places to eat and shop, which allowed us to explore longer before walking back to the cruise ship. Our driver made sure we knew how to take the lift down to the port. Wonderful day! A great way to see Malta!

We had the best time on our tour! It was a last minute booking so I was glad I was able to get in. Mark was an amazing tour guide. Very informative, friendly, and accomodating. I would definitely recommend it to anyone going to Malta. It is a beautiful place with so much history I didn't know about and he made it a great experience for all of us. Even though we weren't able to get on the boat in the blue grotto due to the water conditions, we were still able to see it and get some great photos.
