Phenomenal tour by a very knowledgeable guide! Prado has a massive collection, so easy to get lost. Small group with a passionate professional makes a lot of difference, highly recommended!
This experience was worth the price. Our very knowledgeable guide Munroe connected art with history wonderfully. By explaining the historical context of the pieces he showed us, we gained a greater appreciation for them. If we had just wandered around the museum ourselves, the experience would have been disappointing. Monroe made it one of our favorite activities in Madrid!
Fun and engaging tour with Monroe. He kept it lively and informative. Well worth it. Do this tour first before you do anything ! Great information for other sights you will see in Madrid
We had a private Prado Museum Tour, 1 1/2 hours long, with Monroe. He has such a wealth of knowledge and is so gifted in his presentations of numerous pieces of art. His explanations, use of humor and iPad photos, made our trip to Spain an unforgettable experience. Our 11 year old granddaughter was also following his every word! He is a gifted guide and teacher.
Our tour guide was wonderful! He had so much knowledge and he shared it enthusiastically with our whole family. We have 13-year-old and 19-year-old kids, and he told just enough dad jokes to make the whole family laugh. Very engaging and very knowledgeable. Five stars!

Monroe was a very insightful tour guide, providing us with a good understanding of the key works in the Prado museum and the feautured artists' lives. We could tell he loved art history and painting techniques, and he gave us so many cool facts that we would never have hear of if we just went to the museum ourselves. He was also good at making relatable jokes, and made the experience really enjoyable. We strongly recommend going on this tour and museum.
Monroe was an amazing tour guide, he kept our entire family engaged, three teen-ish Boys included through the entirety of our time in the Prado which is a tall order. His knowledge of art and history are unmatched. We all very much enjoyed this tour. Highly recommend.

Our guide Monroe was very insightful, enthusiastic and entertaining. He exposed us to all of the most significant pieces of art in the museum. He was a master at working us through the crowds of others touring the museum.
The tour guide was outstanding, he explained certain aspects of different paintings and made the tour much more enlightening. I was not going to sign up for a tour, but I’m glad I did. He was excellent. I learned a lot.

From start to finish, Monroe provided an excellent introduction to the Prado. He began by asking our small group if there were any particular works that we wanted to see. He then proceeded to take us to those key works and added a few extra ones. He had a rich knowledge of the Prado and the artists we saw. He was informative and humorous. I highly recommend this tour and Monroe for anyone who wants an introduction to the riches of the Prado!

This is a very well designed tour of Museo del Prado. The museum is huge - one of the largest in the world with an enormous collection of classical art. A guided tour is definitely the best way to see the highlights. Our guide, Monroe, was perfectly suited to the role. He displayed a wealth of knowledge regarding both the art and artists. His sense of humour was also appreciated given the at times dry subject matter. He did bring it all to life and the allocated time flew by for our group of five. Small groups are the only way to experience such a popular and busy museum. Very enjoyable and informative.

Excellent tour - looking around at other huge tours, this one limited to 7 people and with Monroe was amazing. Very informative and didn’t feel rushed. I have been to the Prado before but definitely enjoyed this time the most, given the explanation. It was about 2 hours. Monroe has a lot of knowledge, is from the US, was easy to understand and has a degree and work experience in this area. He could easily talk about other paintings we had questions about and the overall movements in art. He even led me to another area of the museum that I was interested in after the tour was over. Highly recommend this tour over others!

We had an excellent tour of the museum with a very knowledgeable guide who is an art historian from the University of Texas. I highly recommend this tour as an easy way to see the Prado over a two hour period of time.
