It was an amazing experience. Breathtaking views and beautiful scenery our guide was very helpful and had lots to tell us about the countryside 😍 one thing I will comment on is getting there. Public transport is limited. It would be great if transport could be added as an option, but apart from that it was amazing and would highly recommend😊

A beautiful location and a great way to get out of the city. Had a wonderful time and views were great.
I booked this tour specifically looking to build more time in nature into my trip. In addition to being a great way to explore outside Madrid, the Sierra de Guadamarras were breathtaking. I kept having to look over my shoulder while riding just to continue taking it all in: the breeze (a welcome respite from the August heat!), the mountains, and the valley below. The horses were well-behaved and Mariano, our guide, took both their safety and ours seriously. As someone who had never ridden a horse before, it was also neat to be able to learn the basics of that skill. If you enjoy being active, want to try something new, and/or just want to appreciate spectacular views in a more remote - but by no means inaccessible - location, you may also find yourself glad you did this tour!
While it was definitely fun to ride horseback, we went at a snail's pace because the guide didn't want to teach anything. The wrong meeting location was provided and there was poor communication, and then myself and one other woman received a nasty attitude for being two minutes late due to that. The guide was on his phone the entire time, both while driving his truck and while riding his horse. He was not kind and even at one point looked at me and told me to "use my brain" when I asked a clarifying question about properly mounting the horse.

Good morning.
I am very sorry that you did not enjoy the experience and that you felt I was unfriendly. If I gave you that impression at any point, I sincerely apologize, as it was never my intention.
That said, I do not agree with several of the statements made in your review.
Regarding my phone, I used it in the truck because the entrance gate to the property is automatic and must be opened and closed using my mobile phone. During the ride, I did receive one important phone call that I had to answer. It lasted about five to ten minutes, and if that made me seem distracted, I apologize.
As for the pace of the ride, you are correct that we went slowly, but you left out an important detail: two people in the group had never ridden a horse before. My first priority is always the safety of every participant, so it was necessary to keep a slow pace. Before we set off, I explained the basic rules and gave everyone the instructions they needed to enjoy the ride safely. This is a guided trail ride, not a horse-riding lesson.
Regarding the meeting point, it is clearly shown both on the website and on your ticket. In addition, during our conversation you changed your travel plans several times: first you said you were coming by bus, then by Uber, and later that the Uber would drop you at the bus stop. I simply told you that I had waited for you there for ten minutes and could not find you. At no point did I scold you or speak to you rudely. I then returned to the meeting point, where we met.
Finally, I would like to clarify that I never told you to "use your brain." That statement is simply not true and is not something I would ever say to a customer.
I genuinely regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. We are all human and sometimes make mistakes, and if there is anything I could have handled better, I fully acknowledge that. However, I do not believe it is fair to describe me as rude or disrespectful, because that was never my attitude.
Really cool experience! There were amazing views of Madrid. The horses were calm and relaxed. Mariano was helpful!
The scenery was absolutely stunning! The horses are well trained and the route has some nice variety and elevation gain.
This was fantastic. Excellent way to see the countryside. The scenery was breathtaking. You climb up a mountain and can even see the valley of the fallen in the distance. Horses are well trained.
Amazing experience!!! The guide was so friendly and helpful. The communication was great so it made the process very easy to navigate and get to where you need to be picked up by him. The trail & views were breathtaking, such a peaceful morning. worth every penny. Absolutely recommend!

Best experience of my life even in the fog. Would highly booking during the summer when weather isn’t a factor, but even during the late autumn it was a great experience.
Ride far exceeded our expectations. 2.5 hour trail ride on a mountain with breathtaking views. This is not a flat ride and has plenty of ascents and descents and was a workout for myself and my horse! Well worth the time and cost to get there (we arranged a driver through the tour operator). Excellent and quick communication with tour operator.

I highly recommend this trip. The scenery was spectacular and the horses were so good tempered. My daughter and I really enjoyed it. We are experienced riders but you definitely don’t need to be. The tour is done at a walking pace but the terrain is very mountainous.
It was a great time and a nice way to see something other than Madrid. It is beautiful country not too far from the city. The horses were amazing as was our guide. If you take the bus-you go inside and downstairs to get on the 691. Go early as there is a long line. You need to tell the bus driver to let you off-they do not stop at every stop. $3 euro each way, easy and clean buses.
The horses were sweet, the ride was enjoyable, and Mariano is a great guy! Fresh air, views, wonderful...I would do it again in a heartbeat!
A couple of things to keep in mind...you cannot take Cercanías bc Mariano can't pick you up from there. Taking an Uberto and from the horses was about 30€ I wasn't counting on. Also, no water or soda is offered, as advertised, so bring some water!

What a great day in the hills outside of Madrid. Great horses and a great guide through dusty trails. Great for all skill levels.
This was an incredible experience and one of the coolest things we have ever done. If you’re in Madrid it’s very easy to get there by bus, and Mariano will pick you up at the bus stop closer to the stables. Both of us were beginner riders and he made the experience very comfortable for both of us. We went in the evening and the sunset view was gorgeous. Can’t recommend enough!
Great time with the horses, the views were spectacular, and seeing the area from a different point was exciting
Excellent horse riding time in the trails in the mountains. Don’t forget to play with Taco the dog who goes out on the trails with you.
Mariano is such a class act. He cares about his horses and takes time to educate beginner riders on how to ride. The property is stunning! Mariano even scheduled a private Uber for us from downtown Madrid. I highly recommend his equestrian center!!!

It was a wonderful trip!! It did rain and a lot of people canceled so it was just me and the guide but he was fantastic!! We still rode in the rain and half way thru it cleared up and we saw the beautiful views! He truly cares for his horses and riders, highly recommend doing this experience if you’re looking to get out of the city for an afternoon!

We bought the package for the 2:30-hour walk, Mariano was super nice, kind and helpful. He explained and told us the stories of the things we saw on horseback.

Difficult to say just how lovely this experience was. Mariano is an absolute gentleman and his horses are beautiful. He was contactable at all times leading up to the booking and we availed of the Uber which was great but I’m sure we would have been fine with the public transport route he suggested. I went with my daughter who loves horses and rides frequently and I have been on a horse (reluctantly) twice before! It was just so lovely and different to be out of the city and in the beautiful mountains. I enjoyed every second (apart from the first 5 minutes when I was petrified!). If you are even thinking about doing this then definitely go ahead. You won’t regret it. Thank you Mariano for a memorable experience.
