The ride and value is not worth it!!!! Just don’t unless you enjoy torcher. Sadly poor planning on top of it made everything worse. It was a lot of money $450usd, and time for very little reward. There was a Marathon the day of the trip. The tour did not plan ahead for this and we got behind an hour from leaving the hotels, yet there were repeated messages to be outside on time. they were an hour late. I stood outside my hotel while being told every so often 5 more minutes that really was 40 minutes. The ride is too long to go the Nazca lines. We split the tour in two groups one to Paracus and one to Nazca lines a few hours into the drive. While we were already behind, the tour guides further delayed us by stopping at a pottery museum instead of getting us to the airport right away, assuming to get us to buy trinkets. When we arrived to the airport we were not succinctly rushed through the process to get us tickets and on a flight quickly knowing how late we were. Additionally, they further split us out into 3 flights instead of the possible two which then further delayed us. And while funny at the time, we were told at 5’8” and 155lbs were were too fat and needed some smaller people to go with us, yet the people they put us in a flight with wee bigger than us. So just a bunch of waisted time at this airport & museum/shop that cost us precious time. They were not trying to give us viable options to ensure we would eat lunch at a reasonable time either. They were suggesting we wait until we got to Hauchachina, do the dune rides and then eat afterwards. This would have meant even though we were up at 3:30am and could only pick up snacks to eat along the way we would eat our first meal at 7pm. We insisted they order us food to grab after our flight over the Nazca lines for our own best interest. However they couldn’t properly coordinate all three groups of 2-3 people food orders even though we were on separate flights and waiting for each other. So of course we had to stop and pick up food a 2nd time. Because we were so behind on time, now 2-3 hours, we got to Hauchachina in the dark and could only do the dunes at night, missed the sunset and couldn’t see much of Hauchachina. There was no informing us along the way of the implications time was having on our schedule and what that meant for the rest of the paid for activities. That was a huge disappointment. I did a 20+ hour bus drive to basically see the Nazca lines in a 30 minute flight with a lot of donuts/maneuvers that make you sick for a lot of money!!!! The best (I’m being sarcastic) part of the trip was getting rushed to leave Hauchachina only to be told we needed to walk 10 minutes to the bus where the driver was stuck in the sand!!! The back up driver left his bus locked and was nowhere to be found. So while we were supposed to be back at our hotel at 8/9pm we were stranded in Hauchachina at 7:30pm with them not having an idea how to get us home. Why didn’t they figure out the bus issue an hour or so before we left Hauchachina? Why didn’t they have access to their back driver/bus? Thankfully one of the people on the tour spoke fluent Spanish and hailed us a taxi to get 5 of us out of there asap. We had to pay another 650sol to take a taxi back to Lima, with a driver that was exhausted and attempting a 4 hour trip. Other than the people that I met that was the worst paid experience I have embarked on in my life. I still don’t know if the fellow passengers made it back safely or not. I just know the amount of money, time, the lack of back up plans, setting expectations when things go wrong and problem solving on this tour left me underwhelmed. I would never recommend this to anyone.

the experience of the day was fabulous. the experience with Viator was the worst ever
they confirmed my ticket on May 1 then when i didn’t hear from them re pick up i discovered although they sent me a ticket with the code they did not follow thru so was left scrambling at 11pm to re book the trip that i had been looking forward to

It’s a long driving day but every activity was memorable. Warring would be very limited restroom stops during the traveling. Our first bathroom stop was 4 hours in to our 7 hours travel.

Long day & 14hrs of driving but oh so worth it! Our 30 mins flight over the lines was well explained by our guide & we were also given an aerial map of where the main designs were so it was easy to follow. And we also made a stop to see some of the Palpa lines, which are visible from the road. Huacachina oasis was also incredible & the buggy ride over sand dunes a lot of fun, with a stunning sunset to wrap it all up! 3.40am start, 7hrs driving (one way) & an 11pm return was definitely worth it!!!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
What an incredible journey to read about! We’re truly delighted that, despite the long day, every moment came together to create such an unforgettable and rewarding experience. It’s wonderful to know you enjoyed the guidance, the landscapes, and the unique activities throughout the tour. We look forward to welcoming you again soon!

Communication started the night before, with a pickup time coordination. The bus arrived promptly at the scheduled time. My hotel was not listed as a pickup location, but they picked me up there anyway. No 3:30am walk to another hotel for pickup! Thank you so much. We were transferred to a smaller van to head for Nazca, with Spanish only speaking driver. No English spoken to describe landmarks along the way, until Ica where we picked up the guide. Fendy was amazing. There was a coordination issue with stopping for light breakfast at 11, so plan to have food/snacks for the ride. Otherwise, the Nazca flight was amazing, and by following Fendy’s advice, I managed to avoid motion sickness during the left and right airplane banking to ensure passengers on both sides could see them. Also, as a bonus, I also got a brief pass over the Nazca aqueducts— WOW! Once we arrived in Haucachina, we had lunch/early dinner, and stored our items for the buggie ride! This is where Fendy parted ways, and the buggie driver took over. The first runs over the sand were easy enough for me to hold my phone and record, then we stopped for photos and sand-boarding—not surfing. It was incredibly fun, even for a reluctant participant! After sand boarding, both a low run then steep, we got back in the buggie for a ride to remember! No recording of course, but when properly harnessed, the ride was not really rough. This may depend on the driver, and ours maneuvered over the dunes like a pro, even at high speeds! After a day for fun, we were picked up by the original bus that drove us back to Lima and dropped us off at the pickup locations. Yes, the driving was a few hours each way, but I slept for most of it.
Thank you for being apart of such a wonderful experience!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
We’re absolutely thrilled by your feedback! Thank you for trusting our team to guide you through such an unforgettable adventure across Nazca and Huacachina. It’s wonderful to hear how every part of the experience came together so well, from the flight to the dunes and everything in between.

The tour organizers were professional, organized and the guides were great. We were "on time" all day. The Nasca Lines are amazing to see. I would suggest you see them. I would also suggest you do it over 2 days. It was too much driving to go there and back to Lima in one day. It's not the tour operator's fault. That is just the nature of how far away it is. If I could do it over, I would still use this company but spread the trip out over 2 days. But for this particular tour, just expect that the focus/priority is to get you there and back in 1 day. Also to keep you from getting sick on the Nasca flight. I appreciated and followed their advice to the letter and did not have a problem. I just wish we had more time for more stops. In hindsight I would have prefered to skip the buggy portion at Huacachina, but thought I would give it a go. It was not for me. But I already kind of knew that. I think they should let you know upfront it is very jarring. If you have back problems, I think you might want to skip it. Do with that what you will. To summarize, I recommend the tour organizers, but I might suggest taking one of the 2 day trips instead.

Great tour guide, very knowledgeable, friendly, and sweet. She really knew about her country’s history, and was clear to understand.
Berni_N, Aug 2025
One of the best tours I’ve done hands down. I felt super safe and the driver and tour person were a gem. Driver picked me up from the hotel and drove for hours and made sure we stopped to eat and rest for couple minutes. I personally love all day tours because it’s filled with adventure and fun and I’m definitely not going on vacation if I can’t have fun. We definitely have breaks in between so it’s not overwhelming. I had a blast and was traveling solo. If you want an adventure and are patient this is definitely the tour for you.
Miguel_G, Aug 2025
What an unforgettable adventure to Nazca and Huacachina! From start to finish, the day was filled with stunning landscapes, fascinating history, and plenty of fun.
A huge shout-out to Brenda and our driver – they went above and beyond with their attention, kindness, and detailed explanations. They truly made the experience smooth, enjoyable, and memorable.
The only small downside was the long hours on the road to reach the sites… but honestly, it’s just the toll you pay for such an amazing day. Once you’re there, every minute of the journey feels worth it!
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Dear traveler,
We appreciate your wonderful review of the Nazca and Huacachina tour. Brenda and the driver will be happy to hear your kind words. We agree the travel time is worth the amazing experience!

If you’re planning this Nazca & Huacachina tour, here’s what to watch out for. We were given the wrong pick-up location and got no response from the Viator coordinator, so we had to reroute ourselves at 3:25 AM. The driver didn’t confirm who he picked up and ended up wasting time going back and forth. Also, the buggy ride in Huacachina was rough—our group was dropped in the middle of the dunes with no guidance and had to find our own way back. The Nazca flight was great, but overall, the trip needs better coordination. Plan carefully.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you very much for sharing your honest feedback 🙏 We’re truly sorry for the inconveniences you experienced during your Nazca & Huacachina tour. Your comments help us improve our coordination and communication with both drivers and external operators to ensure a smoother experience for future travelers.
We’re glad you still enjoyed the Nazca flight ✈️ and we’ll make sure your observations are shared with our operations team to reinforce quality control. 💛🇵🇪

Oswaldo and Frendy were great guides on this all day trip. The 4am departure was worth the beauty and excitement that awaited me! The Nazca lines from the air was an unforgettable experience. The sand-dune buggies at sunset was more than thrilling!
Krzysztof_W, Jul 2025
The trip to Nazca was amazing from start to finish. The service was fantastic – they really took great care of us the entire way. We had excellent communication with the company via WhatsApp both before and during the tour – quick replies, full engagement, and constant support.
The driver was great – calm, punctual, and very helpful. The guide was brilliant – knowledgeable, warm, and passionate about everything she shared.
The flight over the Nazca Lines was breathtaking – truly an unforgettable memory.
On top of that, the sandboarding and buggy ride through the Huacachina dunes was such a fun adventure – lots of laughs, adrenaline, and great moments. The photos turned out amazing and the experience was pure fun.
That day, there happened to be a miners’ strike blocking the main roads, but the team did everything they could to get us to the flight on time – taking an alternative route that wasn’t even on the map. Total professionalism.
An excellent company – we highly recommend them to everyone. They are super great! 100% sure!

The trip was booked and it stated all activities and lunch provided. When on the bus I was told there were airport taxes and lunch wasn't included. I asked about this and was told I had to pay airport taxes they weren't included. I said lunch was advertised as included, I was told it wasn't, another time I said lunch was definitely included. Sitting down to lunch I said we have this included, she rang head office and yes it was included we didn't have to pay. Shouldn't have to argue to three times to get what we had booked.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for sharing your experience, Vicki. 🙏
We’re glad the lunch issue was resolved, but we’re truly sorry for the confusion and inconvenience regarding what was included. Clear communication is very important to us, and we’ll make sure to review our procedures so this doesn’t happen again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with the flight over the Nasca Lines, the sand boarding and the buggy ride. It was a 20-hour day but it went fast, was well organized and full of unanticipated delights. Our guide for the day, Brenda, took excellent care of us. She was informative, sensitive to our needs and adapted the tour to our personal interests.

Overall a great experience!
But you have to be prepared to a very intense day, and be on the car a lot of time.
Very short time for meals and the restauts weren’t that good.

The bus is configured for people much shorter than the average European or North American. It is almost impossible to fit into the seats, and the guide has no training to help those who are taller get seats where they can fit. In short, it is a painful, terrible experience traveling with your company, especially when there is zero consideration for passengers who are different from what you consider to be normal.
Response from Host, Oct 2024
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We regret that the size of the tourist transport did not meet your expectations and that it was uncomfortable during your trip.
We understand that the differences in vehicle dimensions can be surprising. We would like to point out that the size of the transport we use is the same as what is commonly used in Latin America. Additionally, since this is a shared service, we are unable to offer the option to separate or select preferred seats.
We appreciate your understanding and will take your feedback into account to improve in the future. If there is anything else we can do to compensate for your experience, please let us know.
Miriam_O, Aug 2024
It was an interesting experience but the way there is very long (7 hours by drive each way) and the second van was not comfortable (we shared a great van with people going to Paracas when we were separated, going into a second van). I wish there was a toilet on board because the toilets on the way are not very clean. The experience at Nazca airport was great. The buggy in Huacachina took a long time to show up so we shared a bigger one with another group. Sunset restaurant in Huacachina is great and inexpensive.
Alam_M, Jul 2024
Nazca Lines from the airplane was truly a memorable experience. Huacachina Oasis with Buggy was also incredible. So why 4-star.....because few things went wrong which was attributable to the local tour company.
Our trip from Nazca Lines to Huacachina Oasis was late by 1 hour, not leaving enough time to enjoy before it got dark. The youngsters hardly had anytime to do sandboarding. On return from the oasis to the base site, it was a struggle to find the guide....lack of clear communication. On the way back to Lima, the bus had to stop couple of times for almost 1 hr each time to pick up a fellow traveler who was rejoining after hospital checkup from sandboarding injury. There was very little communication from the guide about this. Finally on the way back, 1:30hr from Lima, the bus broke down in the middle of the highway. Stranded on the side of the highway from 10pm-2am, replacement bus came but the communication from the guide when replacement bus would come was very poor. Once we started back, the driver was struggling/sleepy and I had to wake up the guide couple of times to help the driver stay alert.
So although I would recommend this tour, I would not recommend local company Inca Trilogy tour for assigning a guide who was not very professional and assigning a bus which was not properly maintained.
Jesus_C, Jul 2024
Great tour that we were looking forward to for months. We were really excited for the Nazca Line plane ride and it did not disappoint. The tour guide handled all the logistics, we just had to ride along. Frendy (our guide) was super nice and friendly.
The dunes and buggy ride were cool. Doing it later in day helps beat the heat and you can view some of sunset depending on time of day. Buggy is a little fast, but not nearly as fast as a coaster.
Yes drive is long. We knew that so we had no issues. We slept a lot :). Highly recommend
Francois_Z, Jul 2024
The best part were the nazca lines but the tour is too long to do both lines and the oasis. This needs to be cut into 2 tours. I spent pretty much no time at the oasis and I was ok with that but others no.
Response from Host, Jul 2024
Hello dear Francois, Thank you very much for your suggestion, we will take it into account for our future reservations, this helps us to continue improving. We hope you enjoyed the flyover 😊
Theodore_W, Jul 2024
It was a good trip, though I wouldn’t recommend doing it in one day if you have time! The flight for the Nazca lines was very cool, just being in the plane was fun. Dune buggy was fun too, only two rides if you don’t walk back fast though and create your own experience. All in all, too little experience for too much driving. I’d recommend doing it over two days and including Paracas island or something into the trip.
Response from Host, Jul 2024
Hello dear Theodore, we are very happy that you enjoyed the flyover. This helps us continue improving our experiences for future reservations and continue reaching more tourists!
Leena_M, Jul 2024
Was a very fun experience! Loved the plane ride (although motion sickness might occur), was very cool to see the lines! The oasis was very cool and bugie ride was fun. Would do again
Sandra_F, Jun 2024
Overall, it was a pleasant day. However, I was very cold and asked the driver twice to turn on some heat, as it was a very cool morning, after I was picked up from my hotel very early. That was uncomfortable until it was finally turned on/up about 4 hours later, when I asked the guide to get the driver to turn on/up the heat. The best part, of course, was the Nazca lines. Good guide and good driver, otherwise. Very interesting part of Peru to see. I also enjoyed the Oasis and dune buggy; however, I would have like more time to explore the oasis, and see the different birds. Felt like we were very rushed through there.
Caroline_G, Jun 2024
Amazing tour, well worth it. It's a Must do. Scenery is breathtaking. Loved it !! I would recommend this tour to everyone
JamesP_L, May 2024
The trip and itinerary was a 5 star. However there was one major problem. The description of tour was that for safety purposes we will be exchanging drivers. That did not happen. We had the same driver for 20 hours. You are playing russian roulette with the tourists.
faenza, May 2024
Long day and lots of driving but worth it in the end. Amazing to see the lines and so much fun doing the doon buggy and sand boarding. Awesome experience!
Response from Host, May 2024
hello traveler, we are happy to know that the experience to the Nazca Lines was to your liking, I hope you can continue to know the most wonderful country in the world.
Mgane_R, May 2024
We had a truly great time and cannot thank Frendy, our guide, enough for it!
Pick-up was right on time (4am) and the layout of the day was clearly shared.
The flights over the lines was absolutely magical, but beware of dizziness! We then drove to Huacachina where we had the funniest buggy and sandboarding session, as well as some food before meeting with the rest of the group and heading back to Lima.
Although it is a long day (4am-11pm) and you will spend a lot of time on the road, you do not see time go by. You will get to see and experience a lot.
Thank you once again to Frendy for being an amazing guide, sharing your knowledge and kindness with us.
