City bike tour

Rudy was a great guide. There are a lot of good bike paths in Lima so we felt safe. As we had already taken a walking tour, we got to see different things that we did not know about that were not too far from our hotel. The only negative I could add to this was that the bike seats all need to be replaced. They look tattered and old.

Extremely poor service on today's bike tour

Extremely poor service on today's bike tour. We arrived before 1000 and the gates were locked. We should have been given instructions to arrive at the correct entrance. My companion told the bike rental company his front tyre was flat but this was ignored. I was given a helmet where the straps would not adjust. I was told there are no more helmets and the guide asked if I am happy to ride without a helmet (in Lima morning traffic). I was then given a second helmet but without a size adjustment wheel. We started the four hour ride, and 2 blocks/3 mins later my companions tyre went flat. He and the guide returned to the rental company and they were told they don't have a suitable bike for him. He ended the tour. I continued with the guide to the first stop on the tour, my chain slipped and the rear wheel continued to rub against the frame. At 1045 I ended the tour and returned the bike. Both bikes are poorly maintained. The experience was disappointing. The guide however is knowledgable.
