We had a great time, Lagos is beautiful and getting the views from the ocean was amazing. I really enjoyed kayaking under the caves as well. Our guide Diego was great.

Great experience, nice workout for your arms! 🤭 went into some fab caves, guide was very good. Only negative was stopping on the beach, shoreline very rocky and hubby cut his knee and foot getting to shore. Would have preferred to just sit in kayak while others went ashore. Nice to get towed back, that’s when you realise just how far you went. Would definitely do it again.

Pedro was our tour guide and he was so friendly, helpful and experienced. He guided us through tight spaces in the caves and he negotiated us through swells. Bruno was on hand with his speed boat in case of emergency. It was very relaxing being towed back to base as a group to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Excellent family activity. Well organized and staff are friendly. Best way to explore the beautiful caves in Lagos. Thanks to our excellent guides for a great morning on the water.

Took out on choppy waves but manageable. There was supposed to be a guide in the front and back of the group of 6-7 canoes plus a support boat roaming. There was only one guide in front. Not sure where the other two went to most of the trip. Two people at the back waved for help and took some time to get anyone’s attention. When help arrived with the support boat the help were eating and didn’t help the two in the boat. It turned over and the two fell in cold water. On the way back my canoe in the back and no support staff in the back to watch the group. In short, the crew were too busy goofing off to pay attention to the guests. Did not help any of the group into their canoes and water. I had a canoe hit me in the leg and arm and left with a bruise about 2x2 inches on top of leg after llanding on my back in the water. Most of the group were having difficulty with getting canoes in the water. The support boat rammed our canoe twice before we could get far from shore. Might be different if you had a group of experienced kayakers. The route is beautiful but there may be other companies you could use

Had a great time with the group, kayaking is the best way to view the caves as you get access to even the smallest opening that the larger power boats can only look at from outside the cave. We found this amazing and beautiful to be remembered forever.

Our guide Bruno from Kayak Tours was exceptional!!!! Perfect weather! Kayaking through caves was super fun and relaxing (except for the motor boats causing waves 😉).

Beautiful shoreline and caves! Great way to experience a must-see sight in Lagos. The guide was informative and helpful. After paddling through numerous caves in one direction for nearly 2 hours, I was delighted to know we would be towed back to our starting point. I highly recommend this trip!

The trip was entertaining. We had enough time and freedom to kayak around the rocks and take pictures, all while being guided safely around the coast.

Amazing view of the coast of Portugal. Guide was amazing. Opportunity to see beaches and coastline from a very different perspective. It's a must do if you are active and enjoy the outdoors.

We had an amazing time, I would recommend it over any of the small power boats doing the same thing.

I went on this experience with my sister and it was so much fun! The caves and beaches we passed were so cool so kayak through. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and was there to help if anything went astray such as capsizing. We even became friends with our fellow kayakers and would absolutely do this tour again if we come back.

We had kayaked previously from Carveiro to Benagil caves. I don’t know whether it was just a one off (it did feel quite windy as a day), but this was much harder work as the sea was rougher, so it’s probably better suited to slightly younger (and fitter) people. The trip was well organised and supervised and the organisers made the very sensible decision to tow the kayaks back to Lagos rather than make people try to kayak into the wind

This was a great experience, worth every cent! Our guide Ricky was such a nice guy and our group was super fun as well! We had a wonderful time and we recommend it for everyone who enjoys appreciating idyllic and natural beauty while being active. The only negative aspect (which is not a responsibility of kayak tours) is the tour boats in the surroundings, passing by quite fast and trying to get priority to go into the caves. Even though it was amazing!

Magical experience! Our guide Pedro was absolutely amazing, he explained all the sites to us, was very friendly and safe conscious. Pedro also gave us tips about places to eat and things to do in Lagos, all of which we did and loved. There is also a support boat in case anyone needs to leave the tour, which was nice to have, the company gave us lockers, and the kayaks were in good shape.
This was a once in a lifetime experience for sure, highly recommend!

Awesome guide Pedro made the experience. All staff pleasant & helpful.
9:00 AM excursion actually starts at 9:30; 9 AM published on ticket includes the 30 minutes before cited in excursion details. Be sure to note this is Kayak ADVENTURES because there are several similar in same spot.
Great place for organic coffee & legit chai tea in shop above across street.

Guides were enthusiastic and fun. They were knowledgeable about the landscape and took us into all the grottos then gave us time to swim on the beach at the end.

I'm usually stingy with stars, but if I could give them 6 stars, I would. I screwed up the booking and showed up a day late. They chuckled and said "don't worry" and fit us in. No grief, nothing (my wife and son took care of that category). Now probably they wouldn't be able to be as flexible in high season but it was MUCH appreciated. The tour was excellent, there are lots of reviews attesting to that. We are living here and I'm already feeling guilty for not pushing some previous house guests to do this, it's awesome, worth the time and a good value. I particularly like this tour because it is all in the kayak and starts closest to the grottoes by the Fort. So it's all paddling unlike some of the others where you are in some sort of motor boat for a lot of the trip and you have to go to the Marina to start. There is a support boat that will tow you back if you need, but it's a pretty easy paddle, no one in our group opted for that (including at least one boy who looked like he was about 12) as it was a beautiful day with about a 10 knot breeze.

One of my favorite kayak tours. I was asked to reschedule to the next day due to poor conditions but I'm glad they did because the next day was perfect weather. I had a very small group of 4 of us and our guide Pedro which made for a very personal experience. He even took us into some of the smaller caves for unique experiences. The sights from land are beautiful but even more stunning from the water. Would highly suggest this to anyone who wants an active and fun tour.
But you should know that this tour leaves from shore. Some take you on a boat out in the water and then have you start kayaking. So this one is a bit more "work"

Amazing experience with breathtaking views and I wouldn't trade it for anything, but I wish the waters had been less choppy on the day we went. Mother Nature is glorious!

Awesome experience! It was too windy to go in the caves, but we were able to see them from nearby. Tandem kayak with near constant paddling (3-4 short breaks) for a few hours. Water was sparkling, guide friendly, nearby power boat alongside in case anyone needed support (one kayak) was towed due to difficulty paddling.

It was a challenging kayak trip for us. The swells and boat wakes and crowds of other kayaks and motorboats at key sites made paddling a challenge. The caves were very interesting but it felt a bit dangerous going under the first arch - really had to duck low! - and the rock walls were unforgiving. The guides kept us safe and helped out - removed one of the group via the rescue boat when she felt sick. The main guide was informative. We enjoyed the trip. We heard from other kayakers using a different company that they were not as concerned for safety and some of their kayaks overturned in a cave. So we appreciated our guide even more.

Any of these companies can fit the bill to explore the grottos. Super amazing on the water. Highly recommend. Helpful to have some kayaking experience to guide you in the narrow passageways especially when the ride is high.

Milton did a great job leading our group through the caves, not only navigating but sharing some interesting history of the area. He also took time to get to know each of us and made sure we all had a fun time! This a great tour to be out on the water getting a different perspective of the water, cliffs and caves!

Our tour guide was very kind and helpful the entire tour. We really enjoyed kayaking through the caves. However, we were under the impression that we would be able to stop at a cave and swim / snorkel. Instead, we made a quick stop on a beach for 10 minutes. The rest of the 2.5 hours were spent kayaking through the waves which was really tiring and difficult at times. For $35, you get the kayak, a locker, a wet bag and your tour guide. But if you’re not able to kayak for over 2 hours, then maybe consider choosing another tour.

Thank you for you comment.
But its not allowed to swimm/snorkel inside the caves. This is the reason why we stop at the beach.
The coast guard do not allow us to swim inside the caves.

Highly recommend this trip to anyone who loves kayaking and looking for a great up close view of the areas beauty.
