This was my very favorite tour in all of Costa Rica! We did the twighlight tour and it was amazing! You get the best of both worlds as you start during the daylight and see monkeys, birds and other mammals, then you transition to the night tour with snakes and frogs and tarantulas! We watched a beautiful sunset over the canopy as we trekked across the first hanging bridges and then were given flashlights to explore the jungle at night for the final ones. Our guide, Harvin, was absolutely amazing! He was so knowledgeable, answering our questions about geology and fungi, teaching us about the bioluminescence of different types of insects and such, while still keeping our kids super engaged, helping them to spot frogs and joking with them. Harvin had a great eye and was able to spot many many animals that we never would have seen. He also helped us take some amazing photos, as he would angle the telescopic lens and the light of the flashlight to get these great, dramatic night shots (which made my photos look amateur in comparison!) we saw a ton of wildlife. The kids loved it and so did I. The hanging bridges are really fun and the highlight of our trip!

Found the night tour was lacking in animal activity. Moderate to difficult hike for seniors. While the gide was knowledgeable, at times translation was difficult. The different pavers made it difficult to navigate.

Guide was very knowledgeable and knew where to look/ where the specific animals live to make sure we saw the most! The twilight and night combo definitely felt we got a "night" tour and now don't need to do that separately.
Just wish they provided transportation because hotel transport round trip was the same cost as the tour. Maybe start at 4 instead of 4:30 to get a bit more daylight.

I understand your point about the transportation—it would definitely be more convenient if it were included, especially since the cost of transportation is about the same as the tour itself. Wow! We ended up with a private tour - unintentional and unexpected - and it was fantastic! Our guide was a genius and had an impeccable eagle eye; he spotted everything! We saw walking stick bugs, a baby viper, a wild boar family with a baby, toads, frogs, and everything in between. We got some incredible photos despite the overcast. They had a very cute heart set up in front of the volcano so you can take a cute photo if you wanted. The twilight tour is the best because you get day time animals and night time animals. This is a must do!

It was a great walking tour, but we were expecting to see more. Although it got cancelled due to weather, prior to that, I felt like we didn’t see much (I.e. variety of animals) I’m sure this is out of the tours control.
We probably could have followed the signs ourselves and still had a great experience. But for safety reasons, we booked with a guide. Tour got canceled due to rain, so we missed maybe the last 20 mins. Maybe that’s when we would have saw more animals ?
I’m not sure I would do this tour again.

This was the most incredible tour! There are lots of tours of the hanging bridges, but to be able to do it at twilight with a guide who brings a high powered telescope is unbeatable. Plus, the park was empty as most yours are mornings or afternoons so we had the park to ourselves. Our guide would find the animals, use our phones thru his telescope lens & capture the most incredible photos & videos - things there’s no way we could find or capture on our own or part of a large tour group. The bridges were incredible & as night started to fall, the jungle came alive with sounds! Truly incredible tour!

I’m struggling to find the right words to describe how magical this tour was! Gabriel was the perfect tour guide, and we saw so much wildlife. Some white-faced monkeys even came to play with us! It was the cutest thing I’d ever experienced and was so unexpected. We also spotted howler monkeys, tarantulas, poisonous snakes, a wild boar, bats, lots of birds, frogs, crab and other little critters I would have missed on my own, but Gabriel has a great eye and really knows his way around the jungle. The bridges were quite scary but offered some breathtaking views that are so worth it!
