Jose Raul was an amazing guide through the night tour. We saw so many amazing creatures and his passion for nature and his country had a big impact on us. He was so friendly and engaging! We went on many tours during our 8 day stay, and this one was our favorite. There was no night creature, no matter how small, that Jose Raul didn't see with his trained eye. He also was a fountain of knowledge about the plants and trees in the forest. The best part was getting to finally experience the pura vida vibe of Costa Rica through Jose Raul's serene and joyous personality. Thank you for a most wonderful tour!

Too Wet to Enjoy

It was nice seeing the nocturnal life but it was pouring rain so there wasn’t much to see and after an hour, it was uncomfortable though we had dressed for the weather with ponchos and waterproof shoes. Maybe some tours shouldn’t go forward in the rain?

Hi, Amanda! Thank you for your pretty comment and score! We appreciate it a lot! Mistico Park is a nature reserve with dense wildlife. Sometimes it is not easy to see it, and that can be due to several factors; the natural camouflage of the species, they're hiding from us on propose, visiting hours (the best hour is at 06:00), especially in peak season (Nov-Dec-Jan-Feb-March-July. In Mistico Park) Many times the animals are very close, but they are not visible, even with a guide the animal sightseeing is a random thing. Every day we endeavor to make your experience as good as possible, we're happy to see you had indeed a great time!

4 is only due to the mixup and the issue with the company getting there. They have departure at 6pm, and the departure was actually at 5:40, so we missed it, and they were able after some haggling to agree to take us the next day, but for an extra fee. The tour itself was fantastic. On a beautiful paved path. We took our time and really discovered tons of animals and plenty of insects. I'd definitely recommend the tour, just be ready at 5:30pm for hotel pickup otherwise you might end up in the same situation as us. Our guide spoke great English and was fantastic!
