I've experienced a sushi art class elsewhere on a previous trip, but this one was better because the steps were easy to follow, the instructor and her husband (tool pics for us and did the clean up and dishes) spoke in English clearly, and were simply delightful!
My friends (from CA, and on their first visit to Japan) and I (from Hawaii and my 11th trip to Japan) are so inspired to make sushi return we return! We found the ingredients needed to color the rice at a nearby supermarket so we bought some to bring home.
My daughter, her husband, and in-laws.are planning a trip to Jaoan in Decmeber, and I will definitely recommend this class to them. 😊👍

Ava is a Master of Sushi making and it was lovely to share her skill. She was very patient with us, but perhaps this is for people who know a little about making sushi already. Her home is delightful and we felt very welcome.

We are traveling as a family with two teen girls and grandparents. This was a truly fun and special experience being able to cook together but also to be hosted in a traditional home made it truly unique. Aya and her husband were not only gracious hosts but wonderful teachers. We had so much fun and feel that this was one of the highlights of our time in Japan.
