Mt. Kurama

Wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water if you plan to walk up to the temple or hike to Kibune—the trails are uneven in places.
There are a number of souvenir shops and restaurants in Kurama, most of which are located around the train and cable car stations.
Although you can ride the cable car to see the temple, Kurama Dera is not easily accessible for wheelchairs due to its many steps.
