The girl who helped us was very sweet; we chatted and joked throughout the entire experience! Very happy to have spent an hour on this experience! The ring is also very cute!

Knife forging with my sons.

This had to have been one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. My family are welders by trade and forging a knife from a piece of metal was out of this world. We started with a piece of High carbon steel and hammered away for a few hours to shape it into a knife. We then sharpened it and polished it as best we could. At the end we’re taking home a hand made knife my sons and I made. Couldn’t have asked for a better day. I do want to say. It’s not so easy to do but after it’s all said and done and your forearm is hurting from hammering away. You go away feeling proud you did it. Ako and Atsu were beasts hammering away and helping us. Just a great experience. Just an fyi. We then paid almost 200 dollars for Japanese knife so making my own for a bit over 100. Can’t get better than that.

Great Kintsugi workshop for beginners in a friendly environment

A wonderful experience for anyone who is in Kyoto for a time. The course takes place on the sixth floor of the building and is easy to find. Upon entering, we were welcomed very warmly and were able to get started right away with our teacher, Sabbie. For the course, you can choose between the standard bowl, which is included for free, or you can choose one of many other options, which then cost a little something (between 1000 and 3000 yen). Sabbie was extremely friendly from the beginning and explained everything perfectly. Not only were the various steps of Kintsugi introduced to us, but Sabbie also told us something about the history and origin, which we did not know until then. With the polite guidance, it was very easy to transform our bowls into a beautiful Kintsugi piece. We would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to experience a little bit of Japanese art and history in a calm and cool atmosphere; it is definitely worth the price a thousand times over!

Honestly for the price 10/10. Shuto did an amazing job explaining the process and really worked with us to make sure we got a quality set of chopsticks. They have some upgradable items like the wood and getting an engraving and I would definitely say for the experience, it is quite worth it.

Awesome Kyoto Tour

We had a wonderful tour with Akiko! She was so knowledgeable about Kyoto and the sights and so kind and fun to hang out with for the morning. She gave us some other great tips for the rest of our stay as well. We highly recommend booking the tour! It's an early morning, but definitely worth it to avoid some of the crowds at some of the most popular Kyoto sights.

We had such an amazing time on our sake tour in Japan! 🍶🇯🇵 My sister and I had the best experience exploring the sake museums, learning about the history and process of sake-making, and, of course, tasting an incredible 22 different types of sake! Our guide was wonderful, and the entire experience was fun, informative, and such a memorable part of our trip. It was the perfect combination of Japanese culture, history, and tasting something new. My sister and I had so much fun together and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Japan! ❤️🍶 Definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

A private, personalized tasting for our honeymoon!

We spent our day in Uji before taking the train and walking over to the location for this event (which is conveniently located on Google Maps). While we were expecting something that was heavily manufactured for tourists, we realized this is just a small kitchen/room in the middle of this small town with 2-3 people running the facility. We were also expecting to be attending this tasting with a number of other people, but we were surprised to learn we were the only couple for this timed tasting, which made everything feel like a personalized and private event — perfect for our honeymoon. Kiyomi was our sake sommelier and she made our experience one to remember. She took care to build out the 1.5 hours with an excellent presentation on learning how to read sake labels and understanding exactly what goes into the process of making sake — all before even taking a taste of the 7 curated sake bottles. What was nice, too, was that each sake was paired with food to help you differentiate and try on new tastes, which Kiyomi provided note cards so that we can take home and rediscover what worked for us personally. We truly had a wonderful learning and tasting experience and we would not hesitate doing this again with a different variation of the excursion, as they offer multiple versions. Highly, highly recommended!

An absolutely fun and amazing experience. If you are looking for an immersive activity to learn about Japanese Samurai culture and history then this is the place to go. The activities led by the instructor were well paced and very fun to do. He was absolutely brilliant with his instructions as well as his sense of humour and warmth towards us. The museum tour afterwards was also absolutely amazing. The guide did a phenomenal job of both entertaining and educating the visitors as we toured the exhibits. Honestly she would have made a phenomenal history teacher if she ever decided to become one! Visiting this museum is a huge reason why I have enjoyed my holiday to Japan thus far!

Fun for kids

Wonderful experience with kids. Cute and fun and not too long of a commitment if you’re trying to fit a bunch in. Kids had a great time and I got some really fun photos to remember. Guided tour was animated and engaging. Little packed in… so if you’re claustrophobic, make other plans.
