This tour is a must if you visit kyoto. 10/10
It was a brilliant tour. We got to touch real samurai swords and guns and even got the chance to throw ninja stars. The museum is really cool. It has lots of samurai armour and weapons. The guide spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable. I would recommend this to anyone that comes to kytoto.

Delicious and Fun!
Fabulous! The class was fun for our whole family (parents with teenage/preteen boys). The instructor, Sakura, was so lively and energetic. The staff was helpful and friendly. The cooking was a blast and the ramen was delicious!!! They are also extremely accommodating for dietary restrictions. Would highly recommend for all ages!

Great food tour in Gion with Rika
We had an amazing time on our food tour with Rika! As a Kyoto native, she gave us insights into the local culture, foods, and history. She is a delightful host, and our family really enjoyed spending the evening with her. She walked us through Gion and showed us points of interest, and she was so thoughtful in offering to take scenic pictures of our family. The food was delicious and varied, and each of the three restaurants was intimate and welcoming. We especially loved the first spot where we had a full traditional meal. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Rika, for a wonderful evening!

Must do if you are visiting Kyoto
Wow – what a highlight of the trip. We set off early in a small group from the train station with our guide, Rob, and he was absolutely fantastic. He shared loads of relevant, fascinating information throughout the ride, took brilliant photos of us on his phone (so we could just enjoy the experience), and even treated us to a drink and some snacks at the end – such a nice touch. I’d gone into this thinking the bamboo forest would be the main event, and while it is incredible to see, it was actually everything else that made the tour so special. The shrines, temples, and especially cycling through the rice fields ended up being the real highlights. It was such a great way to experience the countryside and learn more about Japan at the same time. The early start was also a bonus – it felt like we’d really made the most of the day and still had plenty of time left for other things in the afternoon. Definitely a must-do if you’re visiting Kyoto.
