Overview

In 1943, the former concentration camp of Płaszów began to receive thousands of Jews from the Krakow Ghetto. Life there was profiled in the movie, Schindler's List (1993). Today, it is a near forgotten nature preserve that holds a memorial for the victims. We'll talk about its history as well as that of Krakow during the Holocaust with visits to Płaszów, the movie location (a camp replica in a nearby quarry) and the Kraków's Fragment of the Ghetto Wall.
