This tour was very good to get a quick history of Poland and of the city. Great guide, Rudolph, was very engaging and took us on a very enjoyable tour of the old town and castle. Overall, very good tour.

Karolina was an amazing tour guide. She was knowledgeable, friendly, humorous, and easy to understand (for us English speakers). Even though we had a fairly large group, she was able to project her voice and find locations where we could hear well. The tour moved along at a good pace but without feeling rushed. She took time to answer all questions and told many stories which helped bring the history to life. We really enjoyed this tour (parents and 3 teenagers). Highly recommend, especially if you tour with Karolina!

Our tour guide Rudolf was amazing and brought the tour to life. It's a fantastic way to see the vibrancy of the city as well as appreciate the rich and complex history of the area. We also did the Jewish Ghetto tour as well and this is also well worth doing to experience a different side to Krakow.

Our guide (.Dale ) was excellent - fun, informative and really interesting. This was just the outside of historical buildings. You still need tickets to go inside but Dale was really excellent.

Old Town walking tour

Would highly recommend, Dale was very knowledgeable and gave us so much information about the history of Krakow and its involvement in WW2. We enjoyed it so much we went back for the tour with Dale around the Jewish Quarter later in the day. Very tiring and a reasonable level of fitness needed particularly if doing both tours.

Free trip no need to pay

It is free if you book it online the guide gets nothing and still asks for donation also you will not finish back at your start point so you finish in a strange place and you find your own way back so if you do an afternoon trip it may well be dark when you finish and could get lost

Hi Shaun. It is very rare that a walking tour finishes in the same place where you start, because we wouldn't be able to take you very far. That being said, we finish the tour at Wawel Castle. 10 minutes from the starting point and one of the most well known landmarks in the city. This is not a "strange place" as you put it. How the tour works is clearly communicated in the second line of the tour information. We can't make it much clearer. All guests need to do is read the information. Our guides work for donations. Viator charge a booking fee to host the tour, which is the small fee you paid.

Our guide Dale was outstanding and knew the ins and outs of the city. My dad and I learned so many things about the history of the city we wouldn’t have known otherwise, and he does a great job explaining a very complex history with easy to follow and fun stories. Definitely take part in both parts of the tour - the Jewish Quarter portion is critical. So many places we got to visit that we would have missed otherwise!! Highly, highly recommend.
