Overview
Experience the excitement of a whitewater rafting adventure on this guided, 2-hour excursion. Choose from a morning or afternoon departure time, then ride along Alberta's Athabasca River in Jasper National Park. This ‘Mile 5’ trip is the river’s most popular, challenging class II rapids. The guide will be taking photos along the way which will be available for purchase at the end of the trip. All the necessary rafting equipment is included.

Next to the Jasper Home Building Center (706 Sleepy Hollow Road), and across the railway tracks from the set of traffic lights at the intersection of Connaught Drive and Hazel Avenue. Look for our yellow or blue school buses with yellow rafts on the trailer. Please arrive 15 minutes early.

- Late and No Show Policy: Please double check the date and time on your confirmation. Our primary pick up location is the RV Parking Lot and scheduled departure times are based on this location. We ask that all participants arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time. There will be no refund provided if you arrive after departure time or do not show for the date and time of your scheduled trip.
- Wear your bathing suit or t-shirt and shorts under regular clothes. All river gear is provided.
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to trip time.

Mac, aRRon, and Jas did a great job. It’s wonderfully refreshing to take a dip on a rafting adventure. Unfortunately the Forrest burned down a few years back so the float spot isn’t as beautiful as it once was. Still a nice long float.
There are not reallly changing rooms so wear dark underwear because it will get wet. Wetsuits are tight so I recommend tight fitting underwear so it doesn’t bunch. Bring a small bag to leave on the bus, with a towel. Make sure you bring a sunglass retainer if you’re wearing them. Sunscreen.

We had an amazing rafting experience! This was the first time rafting for our kids ages 7 and 9, and they loved it (as did we!). The staff, including Tate, Coleman, Jesse, and especially our guide Molly, were all so personable and friendly. Molly is so experienced and fun, making our trip down the Alabaster memorable and exciting, and one of the best parts of our trip! Highly recommend booking!

Great experience and a fun activity. This was our first time white water rafting and we thoroughly recommend it. It’s exhilarating without feeling like you’re going to fall in. Wear a swimsuit under your clothes. Our guide molly was excellent, very knowledgable about Jasper and was great fun too

This was our favorite tour of everything we have done in Canada! Molly was an excellent guide. Fred was a great driver and photographer. The rest of the staff was friendly too. When you arrive at the meeting point you board a bus to head to the river. It’s approx 10 min drive. I wish I had known to wear a bathing suit under my clothes. Everyone puts on wetsuits and booties for the tour (water was only 38 degrees F). You could put on the wetsuit over shorts but it doesn’t go over pants easily so your only option is to strip down to your underwear and t-shirt in front of a group of strangers. The people who wore bathing suits had the easiest time with stripping and then putting the wetsuit on over their bathing suits. Everyone was respectful so it wasn’t that big a deal, just a surprise. You leave your clothes, shoes, phone etc on the bus so you don’t have to worry about things getting wet (other than whatever you wear under the wetsuit). They take photos for you. 2 for $20 or $40 to have all emailed to you. I’d highly recommend this tour.

This is a short 45 minutes on class 2 rapids rafting trip. Not high risk for capsizing or anything like that so if you are new to rafting this is a good trip to do. It is close to downtown Jasper so not a long drive to get to the put-in. They supply wet suits and booties so we were not cold at all (we went in late June). Jasper Rafting Adventures also hires male and female guides which apparently is not the case for some of the other white water operators. Our guide Kate guided us down the river in an excellent manner.

Wear a swimsuit to have on under the wet suit they will ask you to put on. More instructions beforehand of what to wear would be helpful as you need to change out in the open. Guides were fun. Good ride for first timers and children.

This is an amazing introduction to white water rafting!! The river is flowing at a pace & there’s some challenges that give plenty of splash but nothing to feel too intimidating! Mollie & Coleman were great fun and made us feel safe but added to the challenges with their sense of adventure. Don’t hesitate to book!

This was such a great expirience. My kids first whitewater adventure (12, 9, &8). it was super low key and not scary at all, but enough splashing and moving water to keep them interested. Wear swimsuits (they give you wetsuits to put on over them), and bring a towel. Molly was our guide and she was WONDERFUL.

It was amazing experience. They provide full suit so u don’t get wet at all. Meeting place was very good. Easy to find. You can go out right after this activity no need to change any clothes.

I'm 71 years old and not especially fit. It was a bit testing physically but manageable. The team were very supportive and helpful. It was an altogether enjoyable experience and very well managed.
I won't get the chance to do it again, unfortunately!
