Tour was really awesome. Our guide SAM was really a knowledgeable, jovial person. He drove the car smoothly, explained the history, wild animals details, shown buffalo berries, Montain goat, Elk, Moose, beaver, otter, bald eagle, many more. We would suggest time of tour should be till 9:30pm as we have seen most of the wild animals between 8:30pm to 9:30pm

Wildlife and history tour in Jasper National Park

Nigel_O, Sep 2026
This is a mini bus based tour from Jasper. The driver / guide provided us with information about the area, its history and the local wildlife. The tour is about 3 hours and although spotting types of wildlife cannot be guaranteed we did see a good variety of animals, birds and plants. We really enjoyed it and learnt quite a bit from the experience.

Response from Host, Sep 2026

Thank you for the great review! We’re so glad you enjoyed exploring the Jasper area and had the opportunity to see a variety of local wildlife along the way. It’s wonderful to hear you found the tour both enjoyable and informative. Thank you for joining us!

Excellent Tour!

Robert_C, Sep 2026
Absolutely must do. Going out in the evening with Jake was incredibly rewarding, he knew the best places to see the animals and resulted in us seeing: a Bull Moose, a Bull Elk, a Cow Moose, a Black Bear and TWO Grizzly Bears. Not to mention the marmots, Pikas and Birds too Jake was a great guide and made the trip thoroughly enjoyable

Response from Host, Sep 2026

Thank you for the wonderful review! What an incredible evening of wildlife sightings—two grizzlies as well as moose, elk and a black bear! We’re so pleased Jake’s knowledge and company made the experience even more memorable. Thank you for joining us and for recommending the tour!

An Awesome Evening of Wildlife & Scenery

Grant_R, Sep 2026
We had a fantastic experience on this tour, and a huge part of that was our guide, Jake. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the park, the wildlife, and the area, but what really stood out was how passionate he was about what he does. He genuinely went above and beyond to give us the best experience possible and worked his ass off to find wildlife for us. We saw several bull elk, a cow elk crossing a river, white-tailed deer, mule deer, and coyotes. Jake was also extremely knowledgeable about the local birdlife and pointed out eagle and osprey nests along the way. You could tell he really cared about sharing the park with people and wanted us to see as much as possible. Overall, we had an awesome time and would absolutely recommend the tour—especially if you get Jake as your guide!

Response from Host, Sep 2026

Hi Grant and thanks so much for your great review of your outing with Maligne Adventures. We will be certain to pass your comments on to Jake, he will LOVE the positive feedback.

Not a very exciting wildlife tour

Bob_S, Aug 2026
We saw almost no wildlife- a deer and muskrat and that was about it. I know that wildlife tours are hit and miss, but I feel that the tour was mainly a bus ride with about 15 people who rushed to get on and off the bus. I just don't think the tour was conducive to sighting wildlife. The driver was very knowledgeable and very friendly and attentive and that is the only reason i gave this tour a 3 because we did learn some things about the wildlife in the area.

Response from Host, Sep 2026

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry wildlife was particularly elusive during your tour. While sightings can vary greatly from day to day and can never be guaranteed, we understand how disappointing a quieter wildlife evening can be. Our guides actively search areas where wildlife is commonly seen while sharing their knowledge of Jasper’s wildlife, ecology and landscape along the way. We also appreciate your comments about the group experience and will take them into consideration. We’re very glad to hear that you found your guide knowledgeable, friendly and attentive, and that you were still able to learn more about the wildlife and the area during your tour. Thank you again for your feedback.

Misled and poorly resourced tour

Matthew_D, Aug 2026
Way too much expected of Bella to drive bus and spot wildlife. The only animals seen were spotted by passengers. Bella had no comms contact with other tour guides in the area to gauge where best to go that night. The cover photo of a bear and cub for this tour suggests we are to be taken down backroads not normally accessible whereas in fact we were only on roads that we could have driven to ourselves. Bella very good and made up up for what may have been ad disappointing experience.

Response from Host, Aug 2026

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad Bella’s knowledge and enthusiasm helped improve your experience, though we’re sorry the wildlife sightings fell short of expectations. Our guides travel only on public paved roads in accordance with Parks Canada regulations, and wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed. We appreciate your comments about communication and how the tour is presented.

Complete let down

Ian_F, Aug 2026
We were completely let down . We waited 50 minutes and the tour bus did not pick us up. We had to contact them and they advised they forgot to add us to the list of pick ups and would not come back to pick us up. Complete let down. Would not book with them again!!!!

Response from Host, Aug 2026

We’re very sorry. Your pickup was mistakenly missed due to an error on our list, and we completely understand how frustrating and disappointing it was to wait 50 minutes only to miss the tour. This was not the experience you should have received, and we sincerely apologize for letting you down.

Absolutely worth it!!

Victoria_W, Aug 2026
The tour was fantastic, not only were the views amazing as we travelled up to Maligne Lake and beyond, but we saw so many different species of wildlife! Our guide was fantastic and very informative, and he had amazing stories as well! 10/10 highly recommend.

Response from Host, Aug 2026

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled you had such a fantastic experience exploring the Maligne Valley and were lucky enough to spot so many different species of wildlife along the way. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the scenery, stories, and knowledge shared by your guide. Thank you for the 10/10 recommendation!

Lovely evening tour through Maligne valley

Danette_B, Aug 2026
Small bus tour, around 20 people, so a more personalised tour. Our driver Logan was a great resource of knowledge, due to his work as an animal researcher, specialising in birds, but he knew so much about all the animals in the park. He managed to ensure we saw all that was there, but with our safety as a priority.

Response from Host, Aug 2026

Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re delighted you enjoyed the small-group experience and Logan’s extensive wildlife knowledge. He’ll be so pleased to hear your kind words. We’re especially glad you appreciated his commitment to helping everyone enjoy the park’s wildlife while keeping safety a priority.

Exciting wildlife adventure

Bev_L, Aug 2026
3 hour tour with bathroom break. Knowledgeable tour guide. Mini bus transport with air conditioning. Guides communicate with each other re sightings of wildlife for your best chance of seeing something interesting. Happy to recommend this tour!

Response from Host, Aug 2026

Thank you for the great review and recommendation! We’re so glad you enjoyed the tour and appreciated your guide’s knowledge and the teamwork that goes into maximizing wildlife viewing opportunities. Thank you for joining us, and we hope you left with some wonderful memories of Jasper!

Wanted to see Beers and saw none

Patrick_A, Aug 2026
Bear sightings are not guaranteed. This is a tour you can do yourself if you have a vehicle and ask about the best routes to follow for wildlife sightings. Met lots of people along the route doing the tour with their own vehicles. Main value is if you prefer not to drive or don't have the means to drive yourself.

Response from Host, Aug 2026

Thank you for sharing your feedback. You’re absolutely right that wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, as the animals roam freely throughout Jasper National Park. Our tours travel on public roads, with the added value coming from our guides’ local knowledge, wildlife spotting experience, and interpretation of the animals, habitats and park. We appreciate you joining us and sharing your perspective.

Brilliant guide

Merran_T, Aug 2026
Our guide was absolutely brilliant! Knowledgeable, friendly, amusing and totally went the extra mile. We saw lots of wildlife, including things we'd never have known to look for like a wonderfully close sighting of a hoary marmot and two bald eagle chicks on a nest.

Response from Host, Aug 2026

Thanks for letting us know of your successful and informative outing on our Maligne Adventures Wildlife tour. Marmots a rare sighting, but really fun to watch when you are lucky enough to spot one.

Highly Recommend!

April_M, Aug 2026
Sam was amazing. We were so lucky and saw bears, moose (including a male), and elk, amongst smaller animals. Sam was very informative about the animals but also wildfires. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed it. He even stayed out an hour later to ensure we got prime feeding time.

Response from Host, Aug 2026

Hello April Thanks for taking the time to let us know that you enjoyed your recent Wildlife Tour with Maligne Adventures. We will be certain to pass your comment on to Sam, he really is an amazing guide.

Exceptional wildlife tour

Stuart_A, Aug 2026
The experience is scheduled for 3 hours but ours lasted a lot longer. This is because our driver Sam literally went the extra mile to spot animals down little roads and unknown spots. We saw moose, grizzly and male elk. Way more than expected.

Response from Host, Aug 2026

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re thrilled to hear that Sam went the extra mile to make your wildlife tour so memorable. Seeing a moose, grizzly bear, and bull elk is an incredible lineup of sightings! Wildlife is always unpredictable, so it sounds like you had a fantastic day out in Jasper. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to Sam. Thank you for joining us!

A must for Jasper

Great evening with an amazing tour guide

Nicola_V, Aug 2026
Amazing tour with amazing tour guide. Kellie knew everything and kept all five of us including three kids enthralled for the whole trip with her knowledge and stories. Kelli helped us see so many animals - moose, elk, white tailed deer, mule, eagles, coyotes and best of all a mama grizzly with her two cubs. Such a wonderful evening, thankyou Kelli!

Response from Host, Aug 2026

Hello Nicola Thank you so much for your great review of your recent Wildlife tour with Maligne Adventures. We will be certain to pass your comments on to Kelli, she will really appreciate such positive feedback.

A great tour

StephenGormley, Aug 2026
A really fun excursion. Login, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and went out of his way to find us all the animals we wanted to see including Grizzly bear, moose, elk, Marmot, osprey and many more. A great tour and we highly recommend it.

Response from Host, Aug 2026

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you had such a fun experience with Logan. We truly appreciate it and hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Jasper!

Wildlife Tour

Debra_S, Jul 2026
It was a great tour we were able to see 4 different animals. Our tour guide Bella was friendly, funny and really knew her stuff. She made the tour extra fun.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Hello Debra Thank you so much for taking the time to review your recent Wildlife Tour with Maligne Adventures. We will be certain to pass your comments on to Bella, she will very much appreciate the positive feedback. Regards

Seeing no bears or moose...

Daniel_K, Jul 2026
Seeing no bears or moose was unfortunate, though that’s nature for you. What disappointed us more was that we stayed on the main public roads rather than going to off-the-beaten-path observation spots. To top it off, a quick rain shower caused the bus windows to fog up, significantly ruining the view for the remainder of the drive.

Response from Host, Aug 2026

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry the tour didn't fully meet your expectations. For the safety of our guests and the wildlife, all of our tours remain on public roads and designated viewing areas within Jasper National Park. We also apologize that the fogged windows affected your experience. We appreciate your comments and will share them with our team.

Our guide was very...

Richard_W, Jul 2026
Our guide was very knowledgeable and knew where we had the best chances of seeing the wildlife. We were lucky enough to see Bears, Elk, Bald Eagle, Beavers and Marmots, plus a Coyote.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Hi Richard, you certainly were fortunate to see such a variety of wildlife on your recent tour with Maligne Adventures. The guides do a great job of finding the critters and explaining their habits and habitat! Regards

Worth it

Krishanyl_S, Jul 2026
We were able to see 3 bear in total! 2 grizzly bears and 1 black bear. It was a great experience. We’re aware that every experience is gonna be different since it’s in the wild but we were lucky to be able to see various wildlife that day. Our tour guide was very knowlegeable and have antlers/horns that was pretty cool! Would recommend 100%

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for your fantastic review! We're thrilled you had such an incredible wildlife experience, including seeing two grizzly bears and a black bear. It's wonderful to hear your guide's knowledge—and the antlers and horns they brought along—made the tour even more memorable. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back to Jasper again soon!

Disappointing tour. Wish I could have gotten my $$ back

scotthahn, Jul 2026
I have been struggling with how to write this review and not sound terrible. I’ll just focus on my positive and negative takeaways and let you use them to decide. Positives, driver was very knowledgeable and thoughtful. Negatives. The bus had a clearly water stained ceiling, AC was lousy on a very hot day and so loud I could not hear driver. The ride was very rough. The tour started a bit late as we waited for a passenger to buy water, but most importantly a 3 hour tour went over 4 hours as the driver had a “hot tip” on some wildlife and group consensus was to go see it. Not a tour I would do again.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback. We're pleased to hear you found your driver knowledgeable and thoughtful, and we'll be sure to pass your kind words along. We're very sorry to learn that other aspects of your experience fell short of expectations. The condition of the bus, the air conditioning and noise levels, and the delayed departure are certainly not the experience we aim to provide. We also apologize that the extended tour duration impacted your day. While our guides will occasionally offer the group the opportunity to spend extra time viewing wildlife when there is a rare sighting, we understand that not every guest wishes for the tour to run longer than scheduled. We appreciate you sharing your experience, as feedback like yours helps us identify where we can improve. Thank you again, and we wish you all the best with the rest of your travels.

Excellent trip

Katharine_C, Jul 2026
Excellent organisation. Owain was a very informative guide. We were very lucky to see osprey, bald eagle, bull elk, black bear and grizzly bear. So lucky.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted you had such a great experience with Owen. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words. Seeing an osprey, bald eagle, bull elk, black bear, and grizzly all on one tour is incredibly special—we're so glad you had such a memorable day. We hope to welcome you back to Jasper again soon!

Wildlife viewing

Jim_S, Jul 2026
It’s fantastic. I would not schedule something immediately afterwards cause there’s not a good guarantee you could get back at it exact time viewing wild animals. It’s on their terms.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for your great review! We're so pleased you had a fantastic experience. You're absolutely right—wildlife sightings happen on nature's schedule, so allowing a little extra time afterwards is always a good idea. Thanks for sharing your helpful tip, and we hope to welcome you back to Jasper again soon!

Wildlife with Sam--WOW!

Susan_R, Jul 2026
Absolutely wonderful experience. Our guide, Sam, was the best. So knowledgable and so wanted us to see some wild life--which we did, a mountain goat, 2 bears up a tree, a moose (very close) and several elk (big). He spent extra time at the end to enable us to get pics of elk and offered to drop people off at restaurants or wherever. Can't say enough good things about Sam and this wildlife tour.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear Sam made your experience so memorable and that you enjoyed such incredible wildlife sightings. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to him. Thanks for the recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back to Jasper for another adventure soon!

Trust me, its absolutely worth it!

Laressa_H, Jul 2026
Had such a lovely evening, and im so sorry I dont remember the tour guides name (older gentleman, use to be a photographer - sir you are an absolute legend and I would love to go on another tour with you). He knew so much and was the perfect amount of chatty, I loved the stories, especially about Pete the bear! Also really appreciated being able to borrow your binoculars!

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad you had such a lovely evening with Ross. He'll be thrilled to hear you enjoyed his stories, knowledge, and even the borrowed binoculars! We'll be sure to pass along your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back for another tour soon.

Great chance to see wildlife

DavidB, Jul 2026
Kelli was a terrific guide. We got to see elk, eagle, sheep, and even a grizzly mama with two cubs. It was very easy to do and I really enjoyed our experience.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for your great review! We're so glad you enjoyed your tour with Kelli and had such incredible wildlife sightings, including a grizzly mom and her two cubs. We appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon!

Chasing wildlife

Deborah_D, Jul 2026
It was fine. Our guide/driver was very engaging and really wanted us to see wildlife-especially a bear. We saw 2 adolescent grizzly bears from great distance, and a black bear up close. It’s a tourist activity, and you are confined to the vehicle.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for your review! We're glad you enjoyed the tour and appreciated your guide's enthusiasm and dedication to finding wildlife. It's great to hear you were able to see both grizzly bears and a black bear during your outing. We appreciate your feedback and hope you enjoyed your time exploring Jasper with us.

Great family fun

Billie_C, Jul 2026

Great tour with an excellent guide

Janne_H, Jul 2026
Top experiences in Canada! We spotted plenty of fauna and flora: a grizzly mother with 2 cubs, black bear, loons and elks. Our tour guide Catherine was fantastic. Catherine was an excellent tour quide in many ways: she is an outdoor enthusiast, has a wide and deep knowledge of the nature in Jasper and knows how to tell a story in a clear way. Great experience and highly recommend.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for the wonderful review! We're delighted your wildlife tour was one of the highlights of your trip to Canada and that you were lucky enough to see a grizzly with two cubs, a black bear, elk, and more. We'll be sure to pass your kind words to your tour guide—she'll be thrilled to hear her knowledge and passion for Jasper helped make your experience so memorable. We hope to welcome you back again!

Do it!

Kwynn_N, Jul 2026
Logan was AWESOME! Super knowledgeable and passionate, that his tour alone is worth it even without seeing any wildlife. Would definitely recommend, even for Albertans who think they already know Jasper.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for the fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear Logan's knowledge and passion made such an impression. Hearing that the tour was worthwhile even beyond the wildlife sightings is one of the best compliments we could receive. Thanks for recommending us, and we hope to welcome you back to Jasper for another adventure soon!
