- Guests must be able to climb 3 steps, with assistance if needed, to board the minibus. Foldable walkers can be stored on the vehicle.
- Hotel pickup is ONLY available to registered guests staying at one of our listed pickup properties. If your accommodation is not listed, select Two Brothers Totem Pole as your pickup location. Hotel pickup times vary; your specific pickup time will be confirmed upon booking.
- Two Brothers Totem Pole is across from the Parks Canada Information Centre on Connaught Drive. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure. All-day paid parking is available nearby.
- A small amount of walking is involved, including a short shoreline walk at Medicine Lake and a short viewpoint loop overlooking Spirit Island as part of the Maligne Lake cruise. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- Tour operates in all weather. Bring warm layers and a rain jacket or umbrella for outdoor portions.
- Meals are not included. Bring snacks or a packed lunch; food may also be available for purchase at Maligne Lake.
- The 90-minute Maligne Lake cruise is operated by an external supplier. Cruise schedules may be subject to delays, changes or cancellations outside our control.
- Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All passengers, including infants, must be included in the booking and allocated a seat for vehicle capacity purposes.
- Tour and transfer times are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, cruise timing and other conditions.
- Minimum numbers apply. If canceled due to low numbers, you’ll be offered an alternative or full refund.
- No pets. Service dogs with valid documentation only.

A great tour with Jake! He was really knowledgeable while bringing fun and humour to the trip. We enjoyed all of the stops, with Maligne Lake being the highlight, absolutely beautiful. All in all a great day and we’d definitely recommend.

Jasper your was great. Our guide did everything he could to show us as many wild life as possible and was very passionate about Jasper Parls. Malign lake was very nice and Speitit island was amazaing

Kellie was a fantastic guide. Engaging, friendly so endlessly knowledgeable about a whole range of subjects. Enjoyed hearing about all the wildlife (and seeing some elk, marmots and chipmunks!) and the forest ecosystem. Great tour, thanks again Kellie.

This was a very enjoyable experience which we both enjoyed. Jake was our tour guide and he was very nice and kind. He was knowledgeable about the area, history and wildlife, making sure we had every opportunity to take advantage for viewing and photos. He even took a picture for us!! I am late in reviewing, but we thought the tour and Jake were both great!!

We were so fortunate to have Logan who not only was our guide/driver but a wilderness biologist. He was knowledgeable, took his time, and gave us a great experience in Jasper park.
We did see some 🫎 moose and he let us all get a good view for pictures. We then had Captain Bea & Kegan on our boat ride on Maligne lake which was just as beautiful and fun.

We found this experience just fine, but probably not worth the money for us personally. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly enough, but you're essentially just paying for a drive up to Maligne Lake and the cruise to Spirit Island (which you can book separately). I understand that most of the cost to this tour is going to the Spirit Island cruise, but even that we were underwhelmed by (to be fair, the weather was not in our favour - gloomy and cloud coverage most of the day).
On a positive note, our guide was very adamant about getting us some wildlife sightings. We were lucky enough to see two moose and some young elk. We also did enjoy learning about the Jasper wildfires, and Indigenous heritage around Spirit Island.
If we were to do this trip again we would just do the drive ourselves and save the money!

Jake was a great host, incredibly knowledgeable and explained to us all about the wildfires and how it has affected/changed Jasper
He was also very knowledgable about the wildlife and we were incredibly lucky to see a Bull Elk, a Cow Moose with a juvenile, Marmots and Ospreys
Leah on the Maligne lake cruise was incredibly knowledgeable about the lake and surrounding areas and was incredibly passionate too.

Had a wonderful experience with our guide Kelli. She is extremely knowledgeable with deep knowledge and experience in wildlife, nature and geology. We were lucky enough to see three moose and although the weather was rainy we still had a wonderful experience..

Weather was cloudy with periodic rain but still beautiful. Just a totally different feel. Pictures were moody because of low clouds.

Loved the glacial lake and the way the sand freezes your footprint everywhere you look it's beautiful. The boat ride out was nice too

The iternary. on the site doesnt match what we did other than Medicine lake and Maligne lake. The canyon and waterfalls have not been available since the fire yet it is still on the iteniary. Do not feel that we got our money's worth.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re very sorry for the confusion. Maligne Canyon has remained closed since the 2024 wildfire and is not part of our current tour. Although we had removed it from our supplier-provided information, we recently discovered that outdated references were still appearing elsewhere on the live listing. Our current tour includes additional time at Medicine Lake for a scenic lakeshore stroll, along with the Maligne Lake and Spirit Island cruise. We have contacted Viator to correct the outdated information and sincerely apologize that it created inaccurate expectations for your tour.
This tour will introduce you to many facets of Jasper area and Lake Maligne. Liked that it was a bit flexible based on things like Elk being spotted in downtown, so we went to see them. Our guide Sam was awesome, very knowledgeable, funny, and engaging. He brought excellent context to the beautiful sights. Our boat guide Michael was equally engaging, funny, and informative. Great tour to see a lot, learn a bunch, and not have to drive and handle all the logistics.

Wasn’t lucky enough for much wildlife, but our guide Sam was full of knowledge and great fun. Ky and Bree on the boat were also fab! Learnt lots and the views from the boat are stunning

The tour was great. We saw a few animals like moose, bear, birds. It was great to learn about the devastation caused by the fire in 2024 and a new life it brought to the wildlife and the forest.
The Maligne lake and the cruise to Spirit island was spectacular. Well worth the time. Our guide/driver was very good and entertaining.

Very informative guide called Logan . Wildlife and local history and impact of recent fires. Worked hard to show us a Mouse, Deer and sheep. Gave us a top tip to see Bears which we followed up and saw a mother and two cubs later in the day . Fantastic

This was an amazing tour. Our guide, Sam, was very knowledgeable about the area and we learned a lot about the lakes, rivers, animals and the 2024 fire. The boat ride to Spirit Island was good. It's a special place for sure.
