Overview

Get ready for Jasper’s only class 3 rapids on the Sunwapta River. Be prepared: you’re going to get wet. Wear your bathing suit under your wetsuit and bring a towel and your sense of adventure. If you have your own wheels, you can save a bit by meeting the guides at the river instead of paying for the shuttle from the Jasper townsite.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your trip time. It is a ~45 minute drive from Jasper to the Self-Drive pickup location, so please plan accordingly to ensure you arrive on time. The Self-Drive pickup location is the Highway 93 rest stop located 300m south of the Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge.

Late and No Show Policy - Please double check the date, time and pick up location. on your confirmation. The pick up location for this trip is 40 minutes south of the Jasper townsite. Out of respect for other guests, we ask that all participants arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time. Please note the pick up time for your location. There will be no refund provided if you arrive after departure time or do not show for the date and time of your scheduled trip.

We had an amazing experience! I've been on a few rafting trips and this was my friend's first. We both had a blast! Class 3 rapids are enough to get an adrenaline rush and get soaked, but it's not scary. Nate was our guide and he did an awesome job, but all the guides seemed super cool and knowledgeable! They walk you through all the maneuvers and safety but make it fun. It poured rain for a portion of the trip, which made the camera go on the fritz so the photos came out blurry, which was disappointing — but they gave them to us for free when they're normally $40, which was very nice! Definitely recommend this!

First time rafting. We are a family of 4 and we had a brilliant trip with Erin on helm and Kim on shore. Well organised, and Erin was brilliant at explaining everything. Great fun, very exciting, but felt safe at all times thanks to Erin. We can't wait to rafting again.

Amazing white water rafting experience. We went on a very cold day, but our guide Nate was super enthusiastic which made the experience!

Went with a bachelor party of 7. Thick Nick was able to successfully pilot 7 hungover medium to large gentlemen down the river on a fun, intense cold river run. Plenty of good times of gentle floating followed with intermittent intense rapids. 11/10 would recommend. Thanks Thick Nick for making it a great time!

We did the the Sunwapta River rafting trip, class 3 rapids. It was exhilarating, our guide was Karleigh, she was experienced and directed us to row when we needed to, we felt very safe. We got wet and it was not a constant row, which was nice, as we took in the beautiful scenery along the way. The water is very cold and the rapids are challenging but not something that is difficult when you have 6 people rowing. We never did this before, and no experience is required. This tour is a very good introductory to white water rafting !!! Loved it and would definitely do it again !!! Miss the mountains already !!!

Had an awesome trip. Highly organised, good focus on safety whilst ensuring it remained exciting. We had a great time. Jeffery led our boat, he was clearly very experienced and knowledgeable but ensured it remained fun and chasing the best waves. Would highly recommend.

Très chouette expérience en famille avec un staff super. La descente dure réellement 1h15 donc il faut savourer chaque minute car ça passe vite. On a fait le plein d’émotions fortes. C’était ce que recherchaient nos 3 ados pour leur première expérience. Dommage que les photos vendues à la fin soient si cher.
