      Check in 15 minutes before your scheduled departure at the white Maligne Rafting van in the public parking lot at the corner of Connaught Drive and Hazel Avenue (638 Connaught Drive, Jasper). Look for the van parked near the public washrooms, opposite the Shell gas station.

    • Not recommended for travelers with back problems
    • Not recommended for pregnant travelers
    • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
    • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
    • Participants must be at least 12 years old, weigh a minimum of 90 lb (41 kg), and be able to swim and feel comfortable in the water.
    • Guests under 18 must paddle in a double kayak with their accompanying parent or guardian.
    • No previous kayaking or whitewater experience is required. Full safety and paddling instruction is provided.
    • Wear a swimsuit under your clothes. Bring a towel, warm clothing for afterwards, water and a snack.
    • We provide inflatable kayaks, paddles, wetsuits, paddle jackets, life jackets, helmets and neoprene booties. On colder days, bring fleece, wool or other non-cotton layers to wear under your river gear.
    • Trips operate rain or shine.
    • Check in 15 minutes before your scheduled departure at the white Maligne Rafting van in the public parking lot at the corner of Connaught Drive and Hazel Avenue (638 Connaught Drive, Jasper).
    • All departure and check-in times are in Alberta Mountain Time (MT).
    • The complete experience takes approximately 2 hours, including round-trip transportation from Jasper, changing, safety and paddling instruction, and approximately 1 hour on the water. Return times are approximate and may vary with river, traffic and operating conditions.
    • Minimum participant numbers are required for this trip to operate. If minimum numbers are not met, you will be offered an alternative departure or a full refund.
    • Single and double kayak assignments are determined based on participant requirements and operating conditions.
