Jasper Ice Climbing Experience

We booked the Experience Ice Climbing tour with Rockaboo Mountain Adventures during our trip to Jasper, and it was hands down one of the highlights of our winter vacation! This six-hour adventure takes you out to climb a frozen waterfall in spectacular surroundings — a truly unique way to experience the Canadian Rockies.  From the moment we met our guide, Ethan, the day was awesome. Ethan was knowledgeable, encouraging, and patient — making sure everyone in our group felt confident and safe, regardless of previous experience. His coaching on technique and safety really helped us ease into the climb and get the most out of the experience. The gear was all provided (crampons, helmet, harness, ice axes, etc.), and it was great not having to worry about equipment logistics. We learned how to use everything properly before heading onto the ice, and Ethan made the whole learning process fun and engaging. The location was breathtaking, with towering ice formations that you don’t get to see as a regular visitor to Jasper, and climbing them was exhilarating! Whether you’re a total beginner or just looking for a fun, active winter adventure, this tour delivers. We’ll definitely be recommending it to friends and would do it again ourselves! Highly recommend — especially if you get Ethan as your guide. He made the trip unforgettable! ❄️
