The Chef came to our hotel and picked us up for a market tour before cooking in her beautiful kitchen. She explained about many foreign food items in the market. We then went to her home where she had prepped many items but still left cooking and chopping for us. The food was delicious and we enjoyed her stories of her Vietnam way of life. What a fun and delicious night. Highly recommend this in Hanoi.

We took this cooking class our first day in Vietnam. It was a great introduction to Vietnamese food and one of the highlights of our trip. Chef Duyen met us at our hotel, then we visited her local market, purchasing a few items for our dinner. So different from shopping at our local grocery store! Chef Duyen introduced us to some unfamiliar ingredients as we chopped and cooked. Who knew you could eat banana flowers. Afterwards we enjoyed a delicious meal with her and her family.

Our time with Chef Duyen was a highlight of our trip. We were able to see the real Hanoi as we shopped in her neighborhood market and cooked in her home. We made a large variety of Vietnamese dishes that I will definitely make when I return home. She made it fun and easy to learn. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Hanoi!

Ich bedanke mich auf diesem Weg noch einmal bei Frau Dzung, die ihren Kochkurs gut durchorganisiert hat. Es begann mit einer pünktlichen Hotelabholung und der direkten Fahrt zu einem lokalen Straßenmarkt. Danach ging es zu Fuß zu ihrem Haus und in die Küche. Speisen waren gut vorbereitet und mit einer gedruckten Anleitung unterstützt. Reichhaltige Kochrezepte und mit vier Stunden Dauer für mich zu reichhaltig und zu kurz. Auch vegetarische Gerichte sind enthalten. Es wurde auch ein Dessert zubereitet, aber leider wurden die lecker Obstsorten nicht berücksichtigt. Ich habe die vietnamesischen Gewürze und die Aromen vermisst. Der Kochkurs endete an ihrem Haus und die Rückfahrt musste man selbst organisieren.
