Was pretty much a full day trip from port. Long ride there and back to the ship. Was interesting in how they engineered an aqueduct to bring water that irrigated all the gardens and to the palace.

The tour itse;f was fine. Information provided by Viatour was awful.
Noplace did Viatour provide a pickup time. I had to chat with them at the last minute to find out the time. Also, they did not provide the name of the company that was giving the tour.

This was an amazing experience and our guide, Debbie, was so well organized and knowledgeable. Once we arrived at the cruise port pier from our ship, she was waiting to take us in a nice air-conditioned bus for the approximate 2-hour trip to Granada. We did have a bathroom break mid-way on our to and from trips there.
Alhambra was amazing and we were with Daniel, who was very knowledgeable and charismatic but spoke a little too fast at times. He took us to the highlights of the gardens and palaces. Considerable walking, stairs and hills is required. It was amazing!
The bus took us a short distance to the heart of Granada where we chose to have a leisurely lunch nearby. Others may have wandered farther into the plaza.
There was confusion with the name of the tour company as sometimes they go by a couple of different names. Communication prior to the trip was also sometimes delayed and lacked clarity. You are required by Alhambra to give your passport information ahead for the skip-the-line ticket of 26 EU. This is sent to tour company ahead of visiting.

There wasn't much info about the specific meeting point, but it works out. The guide at Alhambra was outstanding and made our visit there even better. The short city tour was not done. The bus driver was very good

As for the city tour, this portion of the itinerary is dependent on the time available on the day and the ship’s schedule. Since cruise timings are outside of our control, there are occasions where there isn’t enough time to include the city portion while still ensuring a relaxed and complete visit to the Alhambra.

Good all round. Good rep on bus then transferred to small group with local guide to tour around Alhambra site. Would be a mistake to try and do on your own.

Excellent experience to visit an amazing site! We were worried about the timing of such a long trip & the timing to return to the cruise ship. No problem at all! The one small hiccup we had was looking for the agent holding the Viator sign on the dock. The agent was holding the sign of the organizing company, not Viator.
There is a good deal of walking on uneven ground so wearing comfortable walking shoes is a must. Bringing water is also helpful.
Both our bus and Alhambra guides were very knowledgeable & approachable. Great experience!

The tour operator was great on pickup and return to the ship on time. A good guide walked us thru the vast and amazing Alhambra in small groups (ours was 14). Deducted one point for precious time wasted. The drive was 1 hour 45 minutes. We stopped both ways in between for a 20 minute break. The drop off for free time in the city of Granada was not near the Cathedral or Royal Tomb or obvious taxi stand but by a city park. So the 50 minutes we had there only allowed for a bite to eat as our guide said there was no time to do both. Overall a better tour than cruise ship offered but with tweaks could have allowed us to appreciate the city of Granada more.

Very nice tour. Great Tour guide. However, people with mobility issues should not do this tour. Although this is stated before reserving the tour, we had 7-8 people who could not walk without very frequent stops. They eventually had to leave the tour as they felt they could not walk further. It did slow down the rest of the group.

We had two very knowledgeable and friendly guides. One was on the way to Alhambra the one was the tour guide for the Alhambra palace. Despite the far distance Viator managed the time very well and we were able to get back to the ship 45 mins before boarding time. Highly recommended.

Although it an hour and a half trip each way from Malaga to Granada, the trip is very entertaining with a stop for snack and restroom break. The tour at the Alhambra is excellent qnd the tour guides are insuperable. This have been one of the best tiurs I have had. I highly recommend this tour.

When visiting Malaga you have so many beautiful towns to explore but if you have the time, highly recommend the visit to Granada/Alhambra. You won’t be disappointed.

The entire experience was wonderful ! Met right where they said at the port and the bus left exactly on time. Nice history of the area on the way. The Alhambra was magnificent and the local guide was fantastic. We also had time to stop for an hour in town and have a meal. All around fantastic experience. Just so you know… 3 plus hours of walking there with no breaks. So much to see !

Arafa and Jouad were the best tour guide and driver. They were knowledgeable and we felt safe the entire time. If you are ever in Casablanca, look then up on Viator.

Wow, this was a well organized and terrific tour. Our initial guide on the bus Debbie was full of interesting facts about the region. Once at Alhambra, we went with marvelous Margherita. She was also incredibly knowledgeable.

Very knowledgeable guides, on the bus and at the Alhambra. Gave alot of info on the drive to Granada on the history of the area and alot of history at the Alhambra. The tour was very well organized. Also given an hour to roam around in town after the Ahambra to enjoy lunch. The only suggestion I would give is to go over the history on the drive back to Malaga instead of the drive up to Granada since the tour left so early in the morning.

We spent 3 full hours touring the Alhambra and our guide was Marga (Margarita). She was knowledgeable, passionate, and funny. She wasn’t the main tour leader who was Debbie. Debbie picked us up at the port and escorted us for everything but the Alhambra (the driving and the 1.5 hours in Granada. To be more accurate, she did not guide us in Granada-we were given free time to explore which was better for us. But if we wanted to stick with Debbie we could have. I definitely recommend this tour!
So why four stars instead of five? I’m a believer in communication and there was very little communication telling us who to look for when we got off the ship. This caused other tour members to straggle in. Whereas we were told to show up at 7:15 am, others weren’t and consequently we waited until about 8:15 to depart. I believe this was the fault of the tour organizers (not Debbie). Also, I do not believe you should advertise that the tour maximum will be 18 people and then have a bus with close to 40. If the number had gone up, communicate that change, it is the honest thing to do.
But Debbie, Marga, and The Alhambra were great!

When we booked this excursion we did little research on the actual Alhambra. More on the actual city. We did not spend any time in Granada, the whole time was spent in the Alhambra Palace and gardens. Let me just say we were blown away with everything we saw! A must do.
This is the second tour we have taken with this particular tour company and they are professional, punctual, and very knowledgeable. Noella provided so much history and information we were really taken aback. The tour ran smoothly.

I can’t say enough about our tour. It was so stress-free. The guides were waiting for us with buses immediately outside of the ship terminal. We started promptly on time. The bus was comfortable. The guide provided us with an interesting running commentary. We appreciated the comfort stop. The guide at the Alhambra was waiting for us and immediately took us inside. He was excellent. We returned to the boat in plenty of time. The Alhambra was amazing and overwhelming. PLUS, the tour was about half the price of the ships same shore excursion.

The guide in Alhambra was very knowledgeable, and the walking tour was not rush, nicely paced, she took times to wait for those who walked slow.
Another guide who took us to Alhambra was quite good too..
The only hiccup happened to us was that our names were not on the booked passengers' list, we had to show the guy our booking confirmation and messages that we should board on bus number one.

Everything about this tour was fantastic! Our guide was informative and hilarious! Stunningly beautiful area and by far the best pics of the trip. Bus ride was very comfortable and they brilliantly divided our groups into put those of us who are a bit slower together.

Sunday so most everything was closed. Weather was hot and sunny but a lot of walking! I needed wheelchair to get back to our bus but missed the bus so had to get a taxicab to the meeting place in Grenada.
