Amazing views from the Sierras. Tour guide, Frederic was fun and knowledgable and very helpful. Bus driver was very skilled going up amd doen the switchbacks without creating any concerns! Beautiful villages and other sites and a very nice tour of an Iberian jambom dey cure facility and retail outlet were we vot a generous sample tray of different jambon and sausage and cheese.

We had an absolutely wonderful day in this amazing region in the mountains with our terrific guide Alfredo who was friendly, knowledgeable and tried hard to ensure the tour was enjoyable to all. (He thoughtfully addressed my special dietary restrictions throughout the tour which was greatly appreciated.) The tour featured some special sites and experiences that gave us a view into the everyday life of living in small, off-the-grid towns with friendly people, beautiful artisan work, and delicious food. A fantastic full day experience at the Alpujarras. Breath taking views throughout the whole day. Professional explanation for all the places we visited. Our professional driver Michael is expert on the history of the place, has a very good English for explanation and statisfied with his driving ability for the zig zag ongoing roads. We highly recomend it as it is value for money paid

This was great trip with an excellent guide and very safe driver. The villages and other locations visited were interesting and our guide explained their history and importance. He is very enthusiastic about the history of the region. While there is a lot of sitting on a bus the scenery is breathtaking in places.

An excellent day, would highly recommend! Small group made it easy to move around and didn’t have to wait for people. Alexandra (our guide) was exceptional. A good amount of time in each place and the amount of detail Alexandra gave was perfect and delivered in an interesting way. The surprise stops were wonderful and welcome.

I arrived at the pickup location and waited for an hour, and I did not receive any communication about a difficult pickup location. BEWARE booking this tour as you may not even take it

Wow, what a great day we had on this tour with our guide, Michael, despite the gloomy, cold & rainy day.
1st stop at the lower village was great! Had coffee, tried the chocolate and bought a few souvenirs.
2nd stop was very interesting! We tried the water directly from the spout off the wall and went down 68 steps to a beautiful Waterfall.
Last stop was at the highest point where we had a nice lunch. Took a little longer than expected but it was a Sat & they were busy. Didn't have much time to shop but, had a glass of wine at a bar by the bus stop.
But truly what made this tour even better (besides the beautiful views) was Michael. Wow, what a true gentleman. So friendly. Full of knowledge. Very passionate about his work. Had a few secret stops that we loved.
Definitely recommend. Great Dat if you want to experience more than the busy city center. And if you get Michael, I can assure you, you'll have an even better day!

Friendly and knowledgeable guide. It was a sunny winters day and we could see all the way to the sea. It was not rushed with plenty of time to explore and the guide was around to talk to. Bus was clean nice and warm although not an excess of legroom. Overall a great day

Although our bus had a trouble in the beginning, they quickly arranged for another bus and we could start the tour an hour late. Everywhere they took me was amazingly beautiful, and the guide Zaruq was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. Ham tasting was wonderful, and the lunch was very nice, too. Thank you!

I am so glad I booked this trip as it is a definite highlight of my holiday. Michael was an excellent tour guide, explaining the history, culture, geography, food etc of the Alpujarras. We were a small group of 4 people with 3 languages: English, Spanish and French, but Michael expertly switched between all 3 languages to ensure everyone understood everything and was included. We saw and experienced so much and Michael also had a few surprise stop offs during the day to break up the driving. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who needs a break from the tourist crowds, but still wants to experience authentic Spain.

Had a great day with our guide Zaruk. During the bus ride to the different villages he would give explanations in both English and Spanish.
Did a ham and cheese tasting in Trevelez and the owner of the shop was a fantastic guy.
During lunch also got to know the others on the tour a bit. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful experience! Didn't know what to expect when we booked it, as this visit to Andalucia was our first. We learned so much!, and appreciate the time Michael took to speak with us and educate us on the history and current lifestyle of the area. We were the only english speaking/non-Spanish speaking people in our group, and Michael made us feel very much a part of the group, offering us a little background to the information that he was sharing re:the areas we were traveling through - some background information that most Spanish educated peoples would have perhaps learned in school. We learned so much and enjoyed the day! Thank you Michael!
** if you get motion sickness - please please know that the road this journey takes is filled with switchbacks and ascentions&descentions. Michael is an excellent driver and was very kind to my situation. Take motion-sickness medicine with you if you have any previous experience with 'back-seat car sickness.' Better to have it and not use it, than to not have it and get to pharmacy at the upper hill towns!

This excursion is well paced, informative, and delightfully relaxing. Michael is an excellent guide and driver, giving us detailed history of the towns we visited and showing us some unexpected and intriguing natural and man-made sites. The tasting visit to the jamón establishment was superb and, although there was no pressure to buy, the food on offer was irresistible. Dani, the proprietor was highly entertaining. The lunch stop high up in Capileira was hearty, satisfying and accompanied by spectacular views. This tour should be a part of any visit to Granada.

We had a beautiful trip to Las Alpujarras thank to Michael's enthusiastic and professional guiding. We loved all surprise stops on the way and learned a lot about the area and the history of people living there. The tasting stop at Dany's Jamon store was brilliant and the lunch afterwards with generous homemade food in a restaurant in Capileira was great as well. Thank you Michael! Great time away form Ganada seeing how people liv in small towns and enjoying the scenery. Great lunch. Tour guide emphasized explanations in Spanish so some sights were lacking since we speak English

This was an excellent day long excursion from Granada. It was conducted in both English and Spanish, and the guide did a good job of balancing explanations in both languages and responding to questions as they arose. The landscape is beautiful with striking mountain vistas and picturesque villages. The guide gave us a historical perspective first of Granada and then of the Alpujarras and how the Christian persecution of the Moriscos shaped the area. He also showed us the water management system in the area and explained how integral it is to the local agriculture. As we wandered around one of the villages we were shown some of the area’s unique architectural features. There was a stop at a gourmet food shop featuring a jamón and sausage tasting that was delicious. This was followed by a good meal later in the afternoon. If you’re looking for a nice escape from the city, this is a great choice.

The tour was excellent as we were fortunate to have good weather in November and the mountain tops were covered in snow.. The guide was excellent, cheerful and informative .
The only negative comment was the lunch. The honeyed aubergine and melon were fine but most of the main meal was left by everyone as was the red wine. Main meal comprised of cold fried egg, sliced potato which was hard and semi cold, a sausage that was uncuttable and black pudding.
This did not spoil our day as the views were spectacular, and the tapas tasting earlier on was excellent

This was not worth the money we paid. Although we booked English tour the tour guide spent more time explaining in Spanish and very little time in English. One English couple told the tour guide that this rude.

We were glad we signed up for this outing, rather than rent a car and do the driving ourselves. The guide and driver were thoroughly professional. The itinerary was well-planned and the stops were interesting. The ham and cheese sampling plus the lunch were very enjoyable.

Went on tour yesterday. It was raining and visibility in the mountains was poor. I am sure the views would have been stunning if we could have seen them. The main problem was the guide. Although she was friendly and helpful she gave huge amounts of information in Spanish and very little in English plus when she did eventually say something in English she spoke so fast it was very difficult to understand her. I don’t know whether the lack of English commentary was because most of other travellers were Spanish speakers. However I was expecting an English commentary as we had specified our required language when booking. The little hill villages were attractive but hopeless to explore in pouring rain. Good weather is essential for this trip!
