The Alehambra itself was fantastic. Our tour was not. The guide messaged the night before, moving our tour from 9:30 am to 3pm. We were at theeeting point at the requested time of 2:45pm. We asked many tour guides if we were on their tour. Saw many wandering around trying to find their group members. 3pm came and went. 3:15 came and went. No tour guide. No answer via messaging on Viator and calling.
Viator's response to this was less than barely acceptable. They said they would look into refunding us and give us 10% off another tour of something. We left Madrid 2 days early and spent over $1000 to come stay in Granada for this tour. After waiting 30 min to discuss this with a supervisor they said they will give us the maximum percent available depending on what future tour we wanted. They offered nothing in writing, said the percentage amount would vary by tour, and said they would leave a note on our account to offer this unknown discount. Again, after 45 min on the phone, nothing in writing, no immediate refund, they asked for proof somehow, and gave us I guess their word they would give us a good discount on one other tour. It is highly unlikely I will ever use them again. I will book directly with a reputable tour company which is really what I should have done in the first place.

Emilio, our guide, was very knowledgeable and gave us great insight into the history of the Alhambra. The visit was very comprehensive; we explored many different parts of the monument, each more impressive than the last. The gardens and palaces were absolutely breathtaking. The Alhambra is truly a must-see when visiting Granada!

Wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking. Plenty of water fountains. Not many toilets so find out where they are before you start, particularly if you are elderly. We had a very knowledgeable and helpful guide, Fernando. It was a great experience.
