Our private tour was fabulous! Juanjo was amazing! He was a grand steward of history, absolutely able to answer all our questions in great detail. Fun to be around for 3 1/2 hours. He appreciated us as visitors and tourists. We learned so much from him so glad we booked this tour! I would do it all over again!

Juanjo, though thorough in covering the history, architecture, botany, and culture of the Alhambra and Nasrid Palaces, he encouraged our questions. His knowledge is deep, his enthusiasm is infectious, and his command of English is admirable. Having a small private tour, he was able to move us around the crowds and suggest how to see the buildings from the best vantage points.
He’s the best tour guide my friend and I have ever encountered.

Our group of 5 booked this private tour of the Alhambra only a couple weeks before our trip to Granada after we realized general admission tickets for the day we wanted to go were already sold out.
We were all so happy that we ended up on this tour with Natalia - she is an absolutely fantastic guide who gave us so much more information about the Alhambra vs. if we had booked regular tickets and walked through the complex on our own. Natalia is very knowledgeable and was happy to answer all of our questions about the Alhambra and Granada/Spain in general. The tour also did not feel rushed at all. We really took our time at a comfortable pace. Our whole group would highly recommend Natalia to anyone looking for a private tour of the Alhambra!

It’s at least a three hour experience that is well worth it. The site is very large and spectacular for its views, gardens, intricate architecture and cross cultural harmony. The staff and management of the entire property do an excellent job of maintaining the buildings and grounds and managing the large crowds. Our guide was friendly, well-educated, and knowledgeable about the property and its history.

What an amazing tour we had today. It was a private tour with JJ whose knowledge of the Alhambra was extensive. We arrived early, which was a blessing because of the heat wave we were experiencing. He allowed us breaks for both the bathroom and snacks. Our recommendation is to definitely take a taxi up to the entrance as it is very steep with an narrow roads.

Juanjo is awesome. He’s a home grown dude from Granada who has been going to the Alhambra since he was a small child. This private tour was the way to do it. My wife and I went in the middle of the day so it was hot, but not too hot for us. The Alhambra is amazing and Juanjo is an amazing guide. We highly recommend, just please don’t touch anything, the staff work really hard to keep this wonder preserved for posterity.

Juanjo was the absolute perfect guide. His knowledge and love for his hometown and Alhambra made this private tour one of our favorite experiences ever. JJ (Juanjo) was knowledgeable, passionate, and nimble as a tour guide. The Alhambra and Nasrid Palace are as beautiful as they are expansive. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes and be prepared for an interesting and fun time! Thank you JJ for sharing Granada’s secrets, your knowledge and humor were a perfect fit for our family. Tourist tip: don’t touch the walls, art, tiles or anything you’re unsure of so that you don’t contribute to aging the Alhambra. When in doubt wear your backpack on the front and don’t lean on columns. Watching other tourists be disrespectful or unaware helped us learn quickly what not to do

It is a given that you must tour the Alhambra if you come to Grenada. After the tour with Juanjo I would say it is absolutely important to get a good guide. We were traveling as a family of four (kids 15 and 12) and Jaunjo was truly incredible. The time flew by, his knowledge and energy were contagious for all four of us. He guided us in a way where we saw every site and it was so well organized, but also kept us away from the big crowds so it really felt more private. Juanjo is a local having grown up since he was a kid in Grenada and had great stories of visiting with his father, you could tell he was passionate about his town and the Alhambra. His knowledge on the smallest things brought the site to life for the four in our family. Even my daughters said the tour was one of their favorites of all time, and we travel abroad 2-3 times each year. Many times I do not write reviews, but in this case I would say this: 1. This is money very well spent as it is a magical, but large site to do on your own. 2. Juanjo was maybe the best guide we have ever had in terms of marrying knowledge and energy. 3. I think this tour would be worth it solo, as a couple, but especially for families who respect these sites and history and are curious. Cannot say enough about this tour truly.
