Do not expect your english speaking guide to show. Our guide was not at the designated meeting place at 9:30pm. We waited and then went to the entrance to see if the guide left early. Not there either. After 20 minutes of looking for the Orange umbrella we were told the guide would carry, I sent a text. We quickly received our tickets by text. We are owed at least a partial refund. The palace was spectacular but we paid a premium to get a guided experience and did not receive what we bargained for

The meeting point address and location given in maps were different. We faced difficulties and almost missed the tour.
This was a night tour, ended at 11.30 pm. No transport was available. The number of the taxi service given by the guide was not answered. We don’t speak Spanish. We are seniors and go to services like yours for security and better information. I wish you please put in a word about about possible issues one may face. The guide Natali was good. Thanks

The Alhambra, yes, I did ADORE it. The daytime tour was way too crowded, with too many competing (guides and average tourists) voices and bodies to navigate. But tonight - magic. Carlos, Great guide, lover of chess and architecture with the soul of a poet, historian, philosopher. Lighting of the Nasrid Palace was perfectly simple yet dramatic. And we could hear the classical music concert coming from the Carlos V Palace...

Cancelled day of because not enough people signed up for the English speaking tour.
Didn't send me tickets until days later so I couldn't go on my own. Struggling to get refund currently as the underlying tour company says I need to work directly with Viator.

The Alhambra is stunning and a night visit is very special. Unfortunately we struggled with the accent and speed of talking and depth of detail presented by our guide. This meant we took little in and this was a shame.

Guided portion of Tour was canceled due to not enough people which was nice to have a heads up. However we would have been totally lost had we not already had a day tour. The concerts at night and lack of staff knowledge/communication on where to go could have made us miss it all together as we were ping ponged back and forth. Finally we found the like by Carlos V and then stood there until 10 (not 9:30) so about an hour wandering around. Again it was fine because we had a tour just before, but definitely something to think about if you are not familiar with the layout. Also not as much learning or personal as a guided for the price. Hopefully the refund will reflect that considering the tickets otherwise are like $16.

I can’t believe you are giving me a form for review after what happened to us but here goes. So many problems. Where to start?
Problem 1: upon paying $225 cdn for 2 tickets to Nassrid Palace, and not receiving any tickets and becoming upset at this by hunting everywhere for them for 30 minutes, I messaged the company who said they would be sent 24-48 hours before the event. Fine. But that was NOT clear from the beginning. Lots of time wasted trying to get the tickets ahead of time.
Problem 2: we received an email 24 hours ahead of time saying “ click here to get your tickets”. I clicked on the link only to be taken to a page that says “this is NOT your ticket”.
I spoke to an employee at the meeting point who guessed that we would be given our tickets at the designated time. (He was very wrong)
Problem 3: the tour guide who arrived said we didn’t have the proper tickets. Another couple who bought from Viator had the exact same problem we had and were scrambling like we were. The 4 of us held up the entire tour by 30 minutes as she tried to help us get sorted out. ( to no avail). Lots of angry and upset people (over 20) who bought proper tickets from other companies as you can imagine, as we held up everything.
Problem 4: we received our “Granada Cards” from Viator at the 30 minute mark (had to turn on my data to get them). Received the tickets for our new friends as well and forwarded the tix on to them. It was never made clear that the “Granada Card” was our entry ticket. The lack of clarity here was astounding.
Problem 5: We had booked an “English Guided Tour”. The tour guide said there is no English guide there. Wonderful. Why did we pay so much money for this then?
because the tour started so late, no one told us where to get the actual audio guide. We had to run back outside the palace to where the Audio guide station was setup to get them. By this time we’ve already wasted 45 minutes of the tour. Also we would not have paid $225 for a simple audio guide when we thought we were paying for an actual guided tour.
In summary this was the worst experience of our entire 2 week otherwise lovely trip to Spain.
We would very much like to get our money back from this sham of an operation and will be disputing the charge on our credit card as we did receive what was advertised and what we paid for.
All other tours from all other companies were great. Except this one. Stay far away.

It was terrible. The tour guide never showed up. The tour company did not deliver the tickets on time. After asking several times I finally received access tickets with only 45 minutes left to see the palace. Avoid this tour company!

The visit itself is amazing. We had seen the Alhambra by day and it had to be seen by night!
However through Viator it is extremely expensive and we had to go to the agent’s office on Granada because all the institutions were in Spanish. We’re unlikely to use Viator again.

Our tickets did not arrive in time for the tour. When we tried to contact the tour operator, we discovered that they are only open from 11am to 2pm! Viator could not he’ll us so we missed out on what should have been a high point of our trip.

Like many people you come to Granada to see Alhambra. Other people had the same experience in not realizing how hard it would be to get tickets to Nasrid palace which is a separate ticket. We decided we wouldn’t have another chance to see Nasrid. So we paid 75euro for these tickets that are 10euro from the official site. We understood this didn’t come with a human guide but only audio guide. The audio guid is horrible as half is narrated in a computer voice. Of course after paying for these 2 tickets came available on the official site. Shucks. This just felt like ticket scalping. The positive is they did give us tickets so it wasn’t a scam in that sense. I gave the extra star for that.

Viator is the classic "middleman" one finds at historical sites. We needed entrance into the Alhambra as visitors are strictly controlled and our time in Granada was decided last minute. The official Alhambra site for tickets was sold out. So we booked the Viator night tour at a premium price. On the evening of the tour, our entrance tickets were not available due to the link on Viator's website/email not working. Several of us found ourselves in that situation. After losing thirty minutes, the glitch was resolved by a stressed Viator guide (and WhatsApp communications) and we were able to enter the Alhambra. The tour does not allow enough time to see the three core sites (we only saw one) and, to further add insult, I had to pay for the audio headsets even though that was supposed to be included. In summary: buyer beware - try to visit the Alhambra using the official website and, perhaps, hiring a local guide on site. Only use Viator if you have an emergency situation and, even then, be prepared for stress and hassle.

Afternoon of the night visit had not received our tickets. Could not get thought on the number given for the local provider. Went through main customer service number to get someone to send our tickets. They finally were sent as well as a link to the general audio guide of the Alhambra. Tour suppose to start at 9:30. At 9:30 PM we meet the guide who told us to just go on ahead as he only gives the tour in Spanish. We knew this however, had thought that for $84.00 we might go through faster with a guide. Waited in line from 9:30 to 10:20 to get in to the Palace. For $84.00 ($177.00 for 2 people) all we got was our tickets that we had to chase after. No advantage whatsoever to going through Viator. Earlier in the day we had a beautiful 3 hour guided tour that cost less was better organized and helped us maximize our visit.
The guide was unreachable and then dismissive and provided zero service. This was not a guided tour or any sort. You are basically on your own. The Alhambra by night is beautiful, but I would be hard pressed to recommend Viator.

We couldnt get in. The electronic verification that we were sent for our tickets led us to a voucher. But the voucher led us to Internet circles, but the links never led to a ticket. We took the voucher to the Alhambra the evening that we were scheduled but the voucher couldn’t get us in and there was no one from Vidor or top tours there to help us get in. We just had to take a cab back home very very disappointed.

There was something magical about going to the Nasrid Palaces at night when it is quiet, lit up, and not all that crowded. You can feel something mystical about the place, and the history and architecture hit you differently. The audioguide provides an informative tour that you can take at your own pace, in any order you would like. I would highly recommend this.

Malheureusement, notre guide n’a pas pu nous accepter car le quota de personnes était atteint et nous avons dû visiter seuls, le guide prétextant que c’est une erreur de l’agence et que nous serons remboursés mais quand j’ai téléphoné le lendemain, aucune compensation a été considérée et nous le regrettons. Die Eintrittskarten waren ungültig, der Veranstalter unbekannt. Über 1 Stunde haben wir uns bemüht die Alhambra zu besichtigen. Deutsche Führung gab es überhaupt nicht. Der Audioguide war nur schwer zu erhalten und beim Eingang wurden wir abgewiesen. Ein Skandal

Visite nocturne sublime des palais nasrides mais sans guide en français comme annoncé. Nous avons juste eu droit à dès audio guides alors qu’il nous a été confirmé au téléphone la présence d’un guide francophone.
Vu le prix c’est inadmissible ! En revanche le site est magnifique.
